Pros: Good location just outside of the motorway, into a shopping center park district., ideal for overnight stop. don't judge from outside aspects (bit dated): rooms have been refurbished and they are very quiet, especially the one with view on a residential district. Hotel has a nice restaurant with good choice (upper market price), or you can have lunch/dinner out at different fast food. Very good breakfast. Private parking place available, at a moderate fee. Overall a nice stay, thanks!

Pros: Perfect for a business trip, room very clean and confortable

Bedroom with good size and personal coffee machine in the room is amazing. Breakfast was totally worth it! A large range of food and drinks with warm and continental options.
Cons: Location is the down side but not a problem if you have a car or if you are not visiting the city for tourism. On the other hand you can easily get to city centre by public transport.

Pros: the location of the hotel is good for sightseeing. There is a park in front of the hotel. the sheets were clean at least. I will not stay here again.
Cons: The room is old furnished. Everything in the room old and somehow used too much. The carpet of the room is dirty and there are flakes on it. Hilton's name means nothing to me after that stay.
Pros: Hotel having a bar and restaurant
Cons: Extremely disappointed! Worst stay over eher!
Cons: I was very disappointed about the inflexibility due to the current Corona crisis. My biannual meeting was postponed for a few months and they did not find a way as a gesture of goodwill to give me a voucher. Next time I will travel to Mainz I will not go to this hotel any more!

Pros: The hotel is very modern and has a great design. The spa is fine and new.
Cons: Although the reception staff were great the bar staff was very disappointing. I came for dinner and although the restaurant was quite empty the waiter pretended not to notice my presence untill I left after 5 minutes waiting for the table to be cleaned. Cons: # Nothing all , I stayed on Sunday unfortunately, almost shops are closed so couldn't have chance shopping.
Pros: Location Was perfect. Very close to Train Station. Two minutes walk. Break Fast was good. many options. Bed Mattress & pillows were very comfortable.
Cons: There is no room heating system. I had to ask reception for this. they gave me a small oil heater which was not enough for that size of room. Room was too cold. The Shower drain was blocked, it let's water flow very slowly resulting in water gathers in your feet while bathing.
Cons: Flies on the food especially the bread so I couldn’t eat it

Pros: Great location between two parks. 15 minutes walk to the train station. Nice and quiet location.
Cons: A better selection of vegetables on a breakfast would be a great advantage.
Cons: We stayed in the room right above hotel bar. There was an event that made very loud music until 2am in the morning that made our entire family could not sleep. We called to front desk but no solid actions were taken. Hotel should have informed us the situation (that big noise will come from bar) in advance and change the room when possible. Disappointed that they did nothing with our complaint.
Pros: The location is great, and view of the room was very pleasant
Cons: A water boiler and complimentary tea and coffee inside the room would have been nice, but apparently lack of such service is a norm here
Pros: Great spa! Great breakfast! Great staff!
Cons: Temperature in the room was changing too much during the night
Pros: Really nice hotel - beautiful, big room with a full bath in the bathroom. Great view of Rhein. Very good dinner. Perfect place for a seminar. Great location - only ca 15 minutes walk trough parks from a train station.

Pros: Quiet location. Comfortable bed. Excellent pillows. Above average breakfast.

Pros: I arrived at 8 AM after an overnight flight from US. I asked in advance to try to have a room available for early check in. I was pleasantly surprised that my room was available.
Pros: There were food service staff who were kind. There was one older woman who spoke English very well that was especially helpful.
Cons: I arrived with luggage for myself and my friend who must use a walker. No one offered to show us to our room or help her with her suitcases. No one explained how the lighting needed a card nor how to use the shower which subsequently flooded the bathroom and wet the carpet.I chose this hotel thinking they would be mindful of special needs. Instead I got just the opposite.
Pros: Great rooms. Very modern
Cons: Quite a walk to the centre
Pros: As we arrived at the hotel we were a little syrprised that it seemed to be further out from the town centre than we had thought, it also looked somewhat characterless from the outside. However the hotel turned out to be really closely located to the centre, probably a 15 to 20 minute or so walk and the inside was probably as modern as any hotel I have been in with the room and overall ambience of the hotel super clean and sleek. Car parking was excellent (underground), staff were helpful, breakfast was decent with good service and whislt Mainz itself wouldnt be on my list of towns to return to or to visit as anything more than a stop over the hotel itself doesnt dissapoint. There are also a number of places nearby to get an evening meal - overall a very decent place to stop overnight
Cons: Nothing really it was all good
Pros: Room and size of bathroom, very clean and complimentary buffet breakfast.
Cons: Noisy neighbour in next room who decided it was good to play music at 7am and sing in the shower!

Cons: Staff a little disorganised
Pros: A modern hotel close to the railway station in Mainz. It is a budget accommodation but rooms are clean and cosy and they have all one needs for a pleasant stay. The hotel is on the other side of the railway station than the town but it is some 5 minutes walk. There are shops and restaurants in the railway station itself. The town centre can be reach by walk (15 minutes) or by bus/tram (5 minutes).
Cons: Main road, but extremely convenient location and nice well equipped room
Best rooms in Mainz
With a stay at Landhotel Fetzer in Ingelheim am Rhein (Mainz-Bingen), you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Graulturm and Villa Sachsen Winery. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: There was not a taxi in sight when I arrived, so I called the hotel. First they tried to find a taxi for me, then they sent one of the cooks to pick me up personally. That is great service! The hotel also has a restaurant, and the food was great there. Can fully recommend it.
Pros: No AC but other than that decent place for a short stay
Cons: Location and lack of cold air
Pros: Great breakfast, comfortable, large room. A really good choice!
Pros: breakfast is exceptional!
Pros: The rooms were large and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and had much variety to choose from.
Cons: There was a misunderstanding about the price of the room. I had booked a single room price when I thought it was for two people. Even though it was the exact room for a single, I was charged 30€ more on my credit card a few days later. So make sure you understand the price when booking here because it was misleading. Also, the room didn’t have a refrigerator which would have been nice.
Pros: Comfortable even on the hottest day of July
Pros: It was quite even though they had a bar down stairs.
Pros: the location is amazing and the staff do anything they can to make you feel comfortable - really welcoming.
Cons: I don't remember anything.
Pros: Without exception, from the service at the restaurant to the cleanliness of all facilities, this is a well-managed place! The view from room number 9 to the scenic outside background, including the bird sanctuary, also deserves mention. Great place to which to come back!
Cons: Not applicable
Pros: The bathroom was nice and big enough
Cons: The room was cold, the radiators couldn’t heat it up neither on the highest grade. The bed was devided and too soft for me.
Pros: The rooms and bathrooms were fairly clean.
Cons: The breakfast was limitted and poor.
A stay at Top Hotel Hammer places you in the heart of Mainz, within a 10-minute walk of Mainz Carnival Museums and Sanctuary of Isis and Mater Magna. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: It is a quite new and beautiful hotel. Close to the main sightseeing and with friendly staff. The reason my note is low is because of the lightening in my bedroom that was not working. Also it can be a bit loud.
Pros: Nothing to complain about. Just across from Hauptbahnhof. Staff are friendly. Price is reasonable. Definitely will stay here again.
Pros: The hotel is attractive with nice rooms that have been updated. It was quiet, and about 15 mins to town, an easy walk. Breakfast was good, the lady in the breakfast room was so friendly.
Pros: I hotel was across from the train station. I was arriving and departing by train so it was very convenient . Had early train to FRA, so it was nice just to roll across street. Sound proof windows so no noise issues. Dario, at front desk, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
Cons: As with most hotels in Europe, I find them way to warm. I prefer to sleep in cooler rooms, luckily I could open the window to cool it down. Other than that it was a very nice place/area to stay.
Pros: very clean, good breakfast, great location, friendly staff
Cons: very small bedroom area
Pros: My room on the top floor faced the back side and was very quiet. Sleeping with the window open was ok; I didn't expect it to be possible at such a central location. Delicious breakfast and friendly personnel, almost family atmosphere. One younger employee would write a good philosophical quote on the wall at the front desk every day.
Cons: (nothing to report)
With a stay at Smarthotel Ingelheim in Ingelheim am Rhein (Mainz-Bingen), you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Graulturm and Villa Sachsen Winery. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff are great, very helpful
Cons: The screen with the autocheckin and password disappeared before I could record the essential information. There should be a big notice on that screen saying don't continue until you have written down the instructions
Pros: We really enjoyed the staff talking to us during breakfast to make sure our stay was everything that we had hoped.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Pros: The breakfast - acceptable even for glutenfree and lactose-intolerant living people
Cons: The cleanless
Pros: Very nice place for staying overnight and very friendly staff. Thank you very much!
Pros: Very neat and clean Adapter for power sockets was made available in the morning
Pros: Great place to stay. Very clean and clam, and with friendly staff. Great location for business travelers in the area.

Mainz is one of Germany's oldest cities and is home of a university, a diocese and of several TV and radio broadcast stations. The Rhine Main area is a very important economical region in Europe and Frankfurt International airport a 25 minute drive from the hotel plays a decisive role for the surrounding cities of Wiesbaden, Darmstadt and Frankfurt.
Pros: the location next to the river and room with a view (after paying extra)
Cons: On arrival, we were notified that, in order to get an extra bed for our daughter, we had to pay for an upgrade to our room for the amount of 45€. They wouldn't give us the upgrade for free, nor would they give us access to the executive lounge, even after agreeing to pay. Especially since we were then given a room on the executive level!
Pros: I felt good about it, but...
Cons: But I was promised to not be charged for my parking fee if I will prolong my stay with Hyatt Mainz. But at the end they have charged me. I think it’s not a reasonable fee for a five star hotel. Wish Hyatt to improve their services with its guests. Next time I’ll be looking forward for more accurate hotel services.
Pros: The location was amazing, the facilities were clean, and the staff was welcoming.
Pros: It is nicely furnished. WiFi is good.
Cons: Gloomy exterior when one arrives, not brightened by dark lobby/bar area. Check in procedure poor. Was interrogated as to how many people would be staying and whether I wanted a second key card. Not a good feeling! Had requested river view room but not granted. Overall the property is not good value for money.
Pros: Nice rooms and facilities, great staff at reception and in restaurant.
Cons: Overall it is a bit dated. Comfortable and clean but dated. There is no guest parking discount we paid 24€ for 24h. A bit much. Especially since there was no valet parking or anyone helping with luggage either.
Pros: - Nice room with lovely view of the Rhein - Shower was AWESOME! Loved the large rain-style shower head - Beautiful and clean hotel that feels very high-class - New Year's Eve event was wonderful... food and service excellent with great attention to detail
Cons: - For the money we paid, I would expect breakfast to be included... 26 euro per person for breakfast is outrageous
Pros: Spacious room with lovely river view. Quiet and peaceful. Bathroom excellent, spacious with separate bath and Italian shower area. Reception staff were fantastic at check in and out.
Cons: Hotel parking at 20€ per day is a little steep with limited options. Breakfast buffet at 31€ per person also a bit expensive although a very good range available
A stay at IntercityHotel Mainz places you in the heart of Mainz, within a 15-minute walk of Mainz Carnival Museums and Sanctuary of Isis and Mater Magna. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Planning an event in Mainz? This hotel has facilities measuring 2153 square feet (200 square meters), including conference space. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Perfect accommodation for travelling to a destination via Frankfurt Airport. Easy and frequent connections to the airport. Apartment-choice offers a great amount of space, even for 2 people. Clean and very comfortable with effortless check-in.
Cons: "Kitchenette" concept would have been more practical and useful if there were a small sink in the area and some basic cutlery. Only kettle, microwave, cups and spoons.
Pros: Room is modern and Clean
Cons: Little bit far from the down town
Pros: Good location for traveling.
Pros: Across the road from hBf. Staff very helpful
Cons: Not much
Pros: Clean and modern, easy to use room facilities. Easy to access from the train station. Free internet access which is speedy enough for watching websites and reading news but no good for skype or multimedia Small fridge with drinks (chargeable) which can accommodate a few small additional items. Public transport (which is extremely effective) free during the stay to the hotel and steps away from the hotel entrance. Staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: Access to the parking facility not clearly signposted and charged additionally at 15 euros a day - this is not clear when booking via Kayak (hotel probably not responsible for this). Visitor has to choose between the noise of the air conditioning and the noise of the traffic if opening the windows. No facility to brew a cup of tea or coffee in the room. Speedier internet access available at a charge (not tried if really better than the free one).
Pros: Great location next to the train / bus station Friendly stuff Clean rooms with comfortable beds and everything you need
Cons: Wi-fi is slow and spotty
Pros: Great room with a big bed. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure. Breakfast was luckily quite early. Staff was very friendly and the public transport ticket was a great addition.
Pros: Good location, easy access to train station, comfortable rooms.
Cons: Portions of the building can be noisy at night (street noise), when requesting an iron for the 3rd time, the front desk simply told me maybe all the staff was busy and shrugged off the service request. I left with wrinkled clothes.
Pros: Very nice hotel, helpful and polite personnel and the best thing is that it's just 15 sec. away from Bus station and 2 minutes from Train station.

Pros: The hotel has a great pool & spa, though the areas were rather chilly. However, blankets are provided. Not too far to walk into town.

Pros: Great location and very helpful staff! The Coffee in Germany is terrible, those selector machines. The only good coffee I got was at the Hilton Mainz!
Cons: No, it was perfect!
Pros: The location is amazing and the check in staff was great.
Cons: The service at the restaurant for breakfast was horrendous! Staff did not offer coffee, nor did they pick up used plates.
Pros: The location is great. Walking distance to the city center. Right along the Rhein river . You can catch a river cruise boat a few steps away from the hotel and there is always something going on along the promenade during the summer.
Pros: The bed mattress was really comfortable, not as soft as what western people might like but harder and more favorable for Asians. Good breakfast, but with a menu identical to all the other Hiltons in the world. Lacks of creativity.
Cons: The hotel rooms were spread into 2 buildings across the street, and if you happen to be on the other side and receive one of the last rooms along the alley, you might need to walk more than 5 min to get to the reception. Beware that the wifi is not always free of charge. You'll have to get a Hilton membership.
Pros: very nice location close to the old town
Cons: bathroom needs to be renovated. wifi could be free of charge for hotel guests
Pros: Location on the Rhine river
Cons: Breakfast, lunch, and parking overpriced. Staff rude. Claimed I had a zero balance at checkout and then tried to charge me $79 later.
Pros: Brilliant stay. Lovely room and great location
Cons: Location, size of room, affordable and value for money
Pros: Room size
Cons: Another customer was given an access card to my room and tried to. Enter the room early morning! This is a grave mistake for a Hilton hotel
Pros: Refurbished room offering great space
Cons: Long walk from reception to bedroom on opposite side of main road.
Pros: Location is awesome!
Cons: Breakfast 30 euros, Parking 22 euros, and internet is 25 euros because the "free" basic internet service doesn't work. Staff extremely unhelpful. They even tried to charge me for parking when the garage was full.
Pros: We liked everything. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is great and you can't beat the the view of the river and the nearness to the city center.
Pros: ALL is fantastic - but the breakfast buffet is unbelievable!!!!!!!
Cons: NOTHING TO COMPLAIN - AT ALL
