9.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous and very beatiful hotel with own history. Placed in very old historical building. Best place to stay in Merida. Ideal location. Parking. Hospitable staff, nice swimming pool, really good restaraunt.
Cons: Our room was above the restaraunt and square, so until 23-00 we were listening music and voices on the street and at 6-00 in the morning we were awaken because of the drum concert, which ended only at 9-00(it was music support for Sundays maraphon) Also sound isulation isnt good in the hotel, so if you want silence - ask the rooms far from the main entrance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was beautiful and very well located in the center of the city. It only has 14 suites so you truly felt you were in a mansion.
Cons: The air conditioner is a bit too loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breathtakingly beautiful colonial style hotel in the middle of the city centre. Very well done! It's like a little oasis. Everything is beautifully decorated and styled. Very friendly staff. Great bed! We even got chocolate cake on our last night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and room
Cons: Bathroom drainpipe was not good.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location of this hotel is very central in a pretty square. There is a Santa Clara ice cream store almost next door which was a plus. The hotel is distinctive in its past splendor decor. Carlos, the office manger/receptionist was very nice as was all the staff. We could not find the parking so parked in a paid lot but the staff went and retrieved our car. The breakfast choices were plentiful but the breakfast itself was only fair. Our room was giant with a sitting area. There was a nice outdoor swimming pool which we did not have a chance to use.
Cons: The hotel needs a makeover. It is tired and does not feel clean. Our bathroom had been updated at some point and had a giant rain shower but the floor was grubby and needed scrubbing not just mopping.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great to be in the center of the city in a very fantastic environment. Even having a room with windows on the road was not a specific problem as well noise protected.
Cons: The Gym. The treadmills are my age or maybe more and very unsafe as the belt is loose. Reaching a speed of 8 miles / hrs the band jump, stop, restart etc. The next point in the Gum is that the toilets are damaged and dirty, do need some attention. No wipe available to clean anything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is truly a colonial mansion right in Centro. Great location and excellent facilities including an excellent restaurant. The staff is beyond solicitous and helpful, especially William.

Cons: Expensive breakfast. Room was rather small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good, loved the location, pool area and very comfortable beds
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect, the wifi very good, the staff excellent.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, breakfast and clean
Cons: Horrible lumpy pillows. I think it’s overpriced for an old hotel
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and good for 3 people. The bathroom was a good size. The beds comfortable. Good wifi connection. The room facilities were good as it had a coffee maker and an outside basin which was helpful due to the number of people in the room. The best thing was the buffet breakfast, it was plentiful and a good combination of local and international dishes. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was a good size and clean. All in all, it was an excellent stay and I would recommend to others. I'd would stay here again.
Cons: The reception staff were not so friendly and not flexible. I asked if we could leave one hour later due to a late flight but they didn´t even check if this was possible. They just refused. I have and paid with a Fiesta Reward card which I thought would allow me certain advantages but I was wrong. The rest of our stay was very good.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: - nice pool - nice Breakfast - very friendly staff
Cons: - small room and small bed for 2 persons (we took the cheapest option) - window in the room was not openable - constant noise from outside
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the room was tidy and clean, there was welcome drink in the hall, we liked to stay here.
Cons: The pool was cold and there was no sunshine at all. The soundproofing is not so good (we woke up two night when the guy next room vomited), but its common in Mexico.

Pros: The grounds, the bathrooms, the beds, the service, the pools, the gardens, the food. The pet-friendly policy!
Cons: There was nothing outright negative about our stay. It was delightful. The rooms could feature some more art and the beds could include a heavier comforter/bedspread since the A/C is necessary and gets the room very cold. Despite that, the bedding was great and we slept really well.

Pros: The bed was firmer than I usually prefer, but there were firm and soft pillow options. I slept well though.
7.1 Good
Pros: Food
Cons: Long walk to rooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We chose the option for breakfast to be included in our stay. The breakfast was delicious, although it’s not your typical continental breakfast. It was all local and regional type food, along with some of your basics, like an omelet station. Great way to try the local food!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, great staff, clean. No negatives in my opinion.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is superbly located, and paired with great service, you can't go wrong.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: I appreciated the quality of maid service. The mural was extraordinary!
Cons: The room itself had a musty smell.. a repulsive musty stench came out whenever you turned on the sink or tub faucets....the air conditioner was so loud we didn't have an uninterrupted sleep our entire stay, we reported the problem, maintenance was sent to our room but nothing was done... there is a sewage processing facility with an open sludge vat by the pool area that is separated by a fence, which explains the nasty odor that permeated the air, the restaurant service was slow and unattentive, yet they were quick to give us our bill before we were even finished with our meal. The restaurant itself was not very clean. Even though a score of 3.8 was given based on booking.com calculations, I would rate this place 2.0 based on my experience during my stay.
5.0 Okay
Pros: the pool and updated floor and lobby. the person that checked us in was very knowledgeable and pleasant. was able answer all our questions.
Cons: our room was dirty. the lamp same was dirty and on the sheets can see the dirt. our floor needed to be upgraded. the first floor was nice, bright and updated. our floor had dirty carpet and very dark.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was simpathetic to my complaints and were happy to cancel the contract without charging any fee.
Cons: The whole hotel smelled of Mold from the corridors to the rooms. Curtains were stained. Maintainance is urgently needed there. It didn't have a mini bar. It is overpriced for what it offers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff.
Cons: No free Breakfast as many other Holiday Inns in U.S.- Need to be more clear about this in Ad.

6.2 Good
Pros: Location, quietness
Cons: Bathroom, a/c, concierge service, quality
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, service and food
Cons: Room location 231 quite noisy coming from crowd at the bar in lobby and slightly bad smell of hotel in 2nd floor.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was good
Cons: Lobby is not beautiful and it was full of big “art objects” occupying the space
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property is great, very clean, great location, anazing rooms, amazing breakfast. All the staff members are very helpful, always there to help you!
Cons: However, not all the staff members speak a good English. Some of them find it difficult to explain even simple things.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: Overcharged £160 and when I questioned it I was told I was wrong three times despite showing 3 emails and my bank statement to prove I had already paid. Totally unacceptable customer service. The pool has no sun at any point of the day. Mini bar advertised with the room, non existent at all. Paid for a film to watch couldn’t watch it due to poor connection.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It is a luxury hotel with plenty of additional services and amenities at (close to) Mexican prices. The location of it is very convenient, right at the beginning of one main street with lots of cafes and eateries, leading into historic Merida.
Cons: The swimming pool area was a bit of a disappointment. It is a very small deck with like 6 loungers crammed right between the hotel wings. No sun reaches there at any time and having two people on the deck already feels crowded so don't count on using it. Also, the WiFi signal was strong everywhere but the connection was inconsistent, constantly cutting out for short periods of time. Checking mail and messaging was fine, but not good at all for VoIP calls or god forbid, streaming.
6.2 Good
Pros: Location, easy check-in, check-out, breakfast buffet
Cons: Bathroom design, surroundings outside window
5.0 Okay
Pros: I wanted anothe capsule of coffee and requested at first they said there is one in the room, I told them I used it as got only one coffee cup and we were two, trhy said they would send and did not, I think they are very money minded and cheap hotel
Cons: No value for money, coffee was promised not bought and I hate to call again It was typical lousy Mexican hospitality
6.3 Good
Pros: THE BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT. THE HOTEL IS WELL LOCATED. BUT THE BUILDING, ELEVATORS, POOL, ROOM SERVICES ARE OLD AND SLOW. THE POOL TOO SMALL AND THE LOBBY BAR TO SMALL ALSO. I WOULD RATHER STAY AT THE FIESTA AMERICANA ONE BLOCK AWAY NEXT TIME AND I AM AN IHG MEMBER.
Cons: THE ROOM TOO LOUSY, IT WAS COMMUNICATED WITH THE OTHER ROOM.THE LIGHTING IS OLD. THERE IS NO SERVIBAR SERVICE. AND THE ROOM SERVICE IS TOO SLOW. THE POOL IS TOO SMALL AND A LOT OF CHILDREN FOR SUCH AN SMALL POOL. THE GYMNASIUM IS REALLY RIDICULOUS. ONLY 4 PIECES OF EQUIPMENT AND NO BODY BULIDING AND IT WAS ALWAYS CLOSED AND HOT.

7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely shared space at the centre of the hotel, very clean, great location and good breakfast.

Cons: The place was incredible. Second to none.
7.5 Good
Pros: Attractive
Cons: Has to eat outside .bitten by mosquitos. No way to escape
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is beautifully maintained building. The road on the Main Street isn’t that great but once you get in, it’s quiet and chilled place. The breakfast was amazing and huge volume, and staff were very helpful to meet my requests. My room was massive, but seating ideas might be required for more than 2 travelers. The internet worked perfectly, and enough pressure of the hot water.
Cons: It’s a bit off from the main square, and particularly the first 2 blocks to the center were sort of deserted and I worried a bit to walk back in the evening. It was probably the off season but the pool wasn’t maintained.

Cons: a couple nights my wife and I had a couple drinks at the restaurant's patio which is very nice, has a beautiful view and is very comfortable,we probably spent about 45 minutes every time we went there. The service at the restaurant was okay but every time we needed something we had to walk inside of the restaurant and ask for it, it would be really nice if the servers would go back and check a little more often with the customers that are seating outside. The drinks menu is very small I wish you could add a few more drink choices.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We felt very at home at Casa del Maya. The hosts and staff were extremely attentive. Sonny greeted us every morning and we swapped stories. If we were going to the beach Aaron would have towels and sunscreen waiting for us. The room was spotless, comfortable and beautifully decorated - the hammocks were a bonus. The garden and pool were a lovely oasis to return to after the day's adventures. Breakfasts were superb - something new everyday and the cinnamon scrolls were a crowd favourite. The location was perfect for our family - an excellent base to explore Merida and the region. Many thanks to the team for looking after us.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Casa is located near nice restaurants and bars. The room was very quiet and clean. The garden, where breakfast is served, is very peaceful. Finally, Sonny and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall highly recommended.

Pros: Delightful well designed property. Love the garden atmosphere. Intimate B and B. Sonny the owner went way out of his way to help when we had a family emergency at home. Thank you so much! Aran and other staff very responsive to any need. Tasty breakfast to start the days. Good suggestions for places to see and go and arrangements. Exceptionally safe clean and vital city.
Cons: A bit of a hike into town center, but helped get our “steps” in. Good to have found nice little local restaurant Apapacho 5 blocks away with excellent food, including vegetarian, when we did not walk to walk too far in the evenings.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Greeted by Jordy and Steve - they insisted on taking our bags to the room (and when we left, they insisted on taking the bags back to the front door). Rooms are newly redecorated and nicely furnished. WiFi throughout facility Breakfast is excellent. Jody makes some delicious homemade cinnamon rolls. The main dish always has some local flavor. Plenty of places to relax (siesta) in the afternoon While pool is too small to do laps, it is very clean and personal

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself was lovely, very homely and comfortable and the rooms were really well decorated and very clean. The staff always went above and beyond and really made us feel at home in our 2 day stay. The location was perfect and nice to see the square opposite being used by the community for dancing. The breakfast that came included was so delicious! We absolutely loved it here and would recommend to anyone staying in Merida.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and breakfasts were first-rate (including homemade mango preserves and tasty egg dishes). I wouldn't mind staying there again, even if it was 1 km east of the action on Calle 60. Hotel is a few doors south of Merida's Mexican Folklore Museum. There is frequent inexpensive taxi service along Calle 57 to the center of town. Beers and sodas are available from the restaurant's bar.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was helpful and gave us a lot uf useful informations. The location was quiet (Mérida is chaotic). Breakfast was absolutely the best we had in Yucatán!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with nice decorations and many tropical plants. Delicious Mexican breakfast with fresh fruits, home-made mango marmelade and eggs. Perfect location at few steps from city center. People very friendly, I would definitely come back.

Pros: Definitely a place to come back or choose in Merida! Great experience. They are very caring, welcoming and nice. We were feeling like at home. Extremely nice breakfast prepared in house with local natural food. The best coffee we had at places we were staying in Mexico. Very local colorful design in the hotel reception and very cosy rooms with access to a common nice teras. We were told about nice local bars and restaurants which we tried and they were all great. I strongly recommend this place. Its walking distance to everywhere.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, clean and has everything you need. Fridge, blackout curtains, comfy bed, safe, good water pressure, plenty of hot water, courteous guests and staff, good breakfast and coffee really no complains whatsoever. Maybe a micro wave and hot pot woulda been nice but for the price you can’t beat it.
Cons: Really nothing it was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is located nearby bustling city center (10 minute walk to Plaza Grande walking by many interesting shops and restaurants, 2 minute walk to Parque Santa Ana which seems to gain popularity). Photos on booking don't show the true image of the hotel which is waaaay better than what you see here. Rooms are quiet, dry, super clean and spacious. We have also liked interior design. Pool with palmtrees in city center is nice touch. Really peacefull to chill after enjoying Merida.
Cons: I have trully liked everything. Hotel exceeded my expectations so hard to point out something.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, comfortable room, polite staff. This hotel is a real gem! I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Nothing- exceeded my expectations.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a great stay. My room was very comfortable and even had a hammock, which I wasn't expecting! However, the biggest plus was the staff went out of their way to help me with a couple of things and accommodate extra requests. The taxi driver they arranged for me was also very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The WiFi could have been better and kept dropping out but it wasn't a big deal for me. Breakfast only started at 8am, which for someone who wanted to get up early and explore before it was too hot, felt a little late.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful property with the large, comfortable rooms with windows. Very clean. Would stay again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and modern
Cons: Ice available on each floor Better instructions when parking to get to reception and check in. We are seniors and we were up and down stairs carrying luggage both at check in and to car after check out.
4.0 Okay
Pros: It is really hard to say, but the staff were nice but still failed in the competence.
Cons: Everything in a nutshell, the room we paid for on booking.com was still under renovation and we had to pay for an upgrade to the 17th floor with the awful American-breakfast. The eggs scrambled eggs were cold and not properly cooked and we had to ask that they be put in a microwave. The room we upgraded to had a tiny window.

Pros: I like the fact the hotel is quiet and the beach is beautiful. This was a pleasure trip, but I also stay here for company business. The staff is attentive and friendly.

7.0 Good
Pros: Great hotel for the money.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly situated just a couple of minutes from the central park, nice restaurants and tons of sights. Solid breakfast, refreshing pool and friendly staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Value for money. Location near the city center with free (though tight) parking. There was shampoo in the room, which is more than I expect for this price.
Cons: Bed is really soft and not very wide. The overhead fan was a bit noisy (because of loose cover or something like this). No outside windows (the only window is between the room and the inner hallway)
5.8 Okay
Pros: Well organized and very clean. Nice pool.
Cons: There was no water fountain to fill up your water bottle. That means you have to rely on buying bottled water. It is so bad for the environment!!! The breakfast was very underwhelming and much of it was unappetizing to me. The interior is tired and could use a face lift. The concierge at the front desk was wearing a very old uniform with permanent stains. I understand that they probably have to buy them themselves and they don’t get paid much, but not a nice first impression.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: This place was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. There was an empty lot next door and the construction started at 7 am and banging, chiselling concrete was going on until 2:30am! When we asked the desk , we were told “ they need to finish they work”
