Gravedona hotels

Pros: Cleanliness and facilities all excellent (incl Laundry room) Everything was kept in tip top condition including the Pool. Apartment was spacious and could easily accommodate family of four. Very Helpfull and friendly staff, gave us contact numbers for any help required. On site car parking (Don't bring a monster car) Good security

Pros: The view is fantastic. The pool is also very nice and the staff were very helpfull.

Cons: Since there is no aircondition It was very hot during the night.

Pros: We were greeted by the owner who was very helpful on arrival and also available if needed.We had the spacious 1 bedroomed appt which was very clean,had the largest /terrace/balcony with a fantastic view.The pool is lovely,amazing views.The appts are up a narrow track but well worth it.We parked the car ok there.

Pros: Stunning views of Lake Como, a beautiful place to spend time by the pool and enjoy the local area. Very clean and well kept grounds, fun and friendly host.

Cons: The location is a bit of a tricky drive up. Once you get used to it it's fine :)

Pros: Loved the location, the apartment and the facilities, especially the views and the pool. Even the clickity clackity walk down and the back up to and from the lake. It was s trek but beautiful and picturesque.

Cons: Additional £50 for cleaning. Would have expected this to be in the unit price?

Pros: Everything was great. Really clean and big room. The personal was helpful and nice. First time in Gravedona but for sure not the last.

Cons: It's a pity that there is no restaurant in a hotel but next to it is one family restaurant and the food amazing with 10% from the tullio hotel.

Pros: Great place, a bit difficult to find at first using Google Maps, but the location is very convenient, away from the tourist crowds, right on the river side, several good places to eat and drink within 10-20 min walk. Great breakfast by the way - simple, but very good quality. Long story short - we had an amazing time and can highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely come back, at least I hope so.

Pros: The location is situated at the foot of a mountain, overlooking a beautiful part of the Como lake, and two of the largest mountain peaks. From here you can easily go the the lake for a swim, a 10 min walk, or start hiking going up hill, for some breathtaking views. The small streets of Gravedona also offer little shops and restaurants. I personally was impressed by the hostess Lori, who made sure our visit was one to remember. Breakfast is excellent!

Pros: Lori was extremely nice and helpful. She could recommend us many restaurants, activities and tours to do in the area. The breakfast was exceptional, with local products and fruits and tomatoes from their own garden. The rooms and common areas were very clean and comfortable. The view over the lake from the balcony during breakfast was stunning. We loved our stay and can recommend it 100%.

Pros: Cleanleness. Lori makes you feel as a true guest. Excellent breakfast. We could not ask for anything more.

Pros: This is an exceptional B&B run by the exceptional Lori, the hostess and property owner, Other reviewers agree. Spotlessly clean throughout and great breakfast. It's in a great place if you are touring, A short 20 min drive to Menaggio from where you can takes regular boats on Lake Como including Bellagio, Varenna and Isola.

Pros: Lori was the most wonderful host ever. Very nice, friendly, her English is perfect, which is not always the case in Italy. She picked us fresh fruits from her garden every morning. I am usually traveling somewhere for my Birthday but never host pay any attention to this. Lori surprised me with flowers on balcony, bottle of champagne in fridge and a cake. Thanks again Lori it was really sweet from you.

Pros: Francesca gave us a warm welcome and short tour through the place. As we - family of 5 - were the only guests we had the place for ourselves. In the morning we got a great breakfast with homemade cake and Jogurt, accompanied by honey from the area, fresh marmalades and a perfect cappuccino. Love to come back again at some time.

Pros: Francesca is an amazing hostess with a beautiful and very clean house by the lake. The second floor was just ours with a lovely and comfortable room with a lake view window, and next to it is a private living room, and a large, well-equipped shower room. We stayed in the B&B for 4 nights and we felt right at home. Every morning Francesca made us a varied breakfast with a different addition and delicious fresh cake. We enjoyed the food and especially the very interesting conversations with Francesca which is a fascinating young woman, who has traveled the world. Francesca recommended some new places for our trip (places we missed in planning our stay in Como). Thank you Francesca for sending us to "Abbazia di Piona". The location is excellent to arrive anywhere in lake Como. Very quiet but very central and close to Gravedona's boardwalk. There is no private parking, but free parking is always available next to the B&B. We like Francesca so much and thank her for making our stay so nice and enjoyable. I'm sure we'll stay at her B&B on our next visit to Como.

Pros: Best experience on our Italy trip; the property is just beautiful, cozy and minutes away from the lake and port. Francesca is just a wonderful person that greeted us with a freshly baked apple pie and made every effort to make our stay in Como the best possible!! At the property you will enjoy flowers, comfort, cleanliness, amazing company, WiFi, and breathtaking views. Thanks, Francesca. Great job!!!! We will be back at Ca de la Fra .

Pros: Francesca was a fantastic host, very accommodating and full of positive energy. She was extremely caring for my allergies and provided a fantastic breakfast. On our arrival we were given a map that was better than any of the maps in the Tourist Information centre and Francesca even provided key places to walk, eat and visit. Francesca got in contact a couple of days before our visit to advise us on where to park which took some of the stress of driving abroad away.

Cons: We did not like that we had to leave, and will be back to visit soon.

Pros: Good location, bed and breakfast. No AirCon but town cooled enough to sleep on a mid summer evening. Francesca is great and lives on sight...nice to be able to ask questions.

Cons: AirCon would have been more comfortable for sleeping. Overall a great experience and nice town.

Pros: The hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfast selection was excellent. The room we had (106) had an amazing view and was very comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and speak very good English. There is good off street parking.

Cons: The location whilst a short walk to the lake is located on a busy road and is very noisy if you are seated around the pool although the rooms on the lakeside are quiet. The swimming pool was freezing cold and even on a hot day was very uncomfortable for a cool down.

Cons: The location could have been more central it was a short walk out of town, but the town itself was very quiet with not many restaurant facilities. It was also at the far end of Lake Como so was quite cut off from the main central part of the Lake.

Pros: We like the Regina for its peace and quiet. It only a 5 minute walk into Gravedona and a 15 minute walk To Domaso both have great restaurant. Staff are all very helpful. You can take the ferry to visit other towns of the lake.

The location is fantastic, Colico lies between snowy mountains and it’s a 5 min walk to the Como lake, the facilities are okay but most important is that the staff is so warm and friendly that you would like to stay one more night. Pros: Wow! Everything was perfect in this hotel. It's like a 5* but only 2* price! Our twin room was spacious, modern and warm, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I would definitely come again and recommend others stay here too. We were mother and adult daughter from New Zealand. It's a shame we could only stay for 1 night but we had to move on...

Pros: We stayed at this fantastic cosy hotel for 3 nights with a family of five. The location is absolutely perfect and the sight overseeing the lake and villages from the room as well as the pool and restaurant area is beautiful. The owner Alex and his staff are very welcoming, sweet and professional at the same time. They made us feel welcome from the start. Tip: try the cocktails at the pool and have dinner at the romantic restaurant. The Italian dishes they serve are very delicious. We will definitely be back if we ever visit the area again.
