5.0 Okay
Pros: Rental electric bycicle is available. Breakfast buffet is good.
Cons: Bathtub not cleaned enough.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. I stayed 2 non-consecutive nights, they let me store my large suitcase there while I did an overnight at Eiheiji. It helped a lot. Clean, comfy, quiet.
6.0 Good
Pros: only the staff was good and the view from the room was good.
Cons: Rest I didn't like the hotel. It was way expensive compared to the facility provided. Location is okie. not too far but no close from the station. Walk-able distance from Fukui station.
6.0 Good
Pros: well, i like that it provides room of a person which smoking is not allowed in. and.... the rest?? since i only payed 5000 yen for 1 room, nothing much to comment.
Cons: i just wanna open that window a little bit to let the fresh air in but cant
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is awesome by Japanese standards. There was a decent serving of western style items supported by different varieties of breads including crispy croissants. Hoteyis 7 min walk from station and is located in a quite part of town near the castle. Staff were very polite and helpful.
Cons: Air-conditioning could have been better. It was discharging only warm air which made the room a little stuffy at night. No bottled water provided, however the tap was was good to drink which compensated.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It is close to the station, take a few minutes to walk to the hotel. The room size is just nice for a solo traveller. It's clean and the floor it is situated is near the top, hence I got a nice view of the city.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The air conditioner did not function well. You can only control the fan speed of the air conditioner, but could not control the room temperature. Very hot even we already set the fan to the most powerful. You can also see a quite dirty room carpet. For the breakfast, place setup was quite inconvenience with not much choice. Even the staff there were friendly, it did not worth for what you paid.
Cons: Price was too expensive for a common stay. Not worth it. Check in system was also inconvenience. You need to climb up to the fifth floor just to check in.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing

9.0 Excellent
Pros: 1) Pretty spacious room: enough space to open a full size 32" suitcase plus a plane hand luggage sized trolley on the floor at the same time and still have enough space to move. 2) Nice public bath 3) Excellent breakfast at 1200yen with a vast selection of eastern and western food; good coffee
Cons: Desk is a bit small, the room has enough space for a deeper desk; it is difficult to open a laptop there because electric sockets are at the wall in the middle of the desk on desk height.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed. Good breakfast (both Japanese and continental.) Onsen style baths on the second floor. On-site parking.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: They had a nice onsen, especially the outdoor part.
Cons: At our last hotel we had drinks available with the free ramen. That was better. The onsen tubs were a bit small. The staff doesn't speak much English
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean quiet rooms. Suitable number of outlets. Location is fantastic.
Cons: Nothing in particular.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: They served free veg ramen between 9.30 to 10.30 pm daily which served as a good dinner.
Cons: Breakfast could have more western varities. In fruits, only banana was served apart from tinned diced fruits. Also the tarrif is a little too high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: good breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s very close to the JR Fukui station so that you can find some convenient stores and delicious restaurants around! Every time when you go into/ come back to the hotel, the stuff at the front will say welcome which is totally sweet. Also think the little spring water on the second floor is very nice. Not so many people around 15~16p.m.
Cons: The air conditioner makes me feel a little bit dry.

Pros: The closeness to my wife’s work . Very clean . Nice bathroom , nice vending machine . Nice places to eat nearby .
Cons: The fact that none of the staff can speak any English at all is totally ridiculous . It’s beyond ridiculous . This is prime minister Abe’s fault ! I know the hotel or Japan will never do anything about this though . A first world country and 1 in 1000 people can speak English .

Pros: The service was excellent and the facilities were great. Breakfast was much better than what I expected. There were Japanese style breakfast, curry, bread roll (was thinking of only toast and coffee provided).

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Helpful
Cons: A bit far from train station
6.0 Good
Pros: The price and it was close to my fiancées work and very , very clean . Super polite and sweet maids .
Cons: No late check out , even after staying for 7 days . I saw a local check out of his room at 10:55am but I wasn’t allowed to . Small room although not as small as the smallest . Bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable . This hotel needs to upgrade its mattress game ! No English speaking staff . This is a ridiculous thing only Japan seems to have where anywhere you go in the country it’s as easy to find an English speaking person as it is to win a prize in a lottery . No nice couch to sit on in the lobby . If I stay again I’ll have to buy a mattress topper on my first night and throw it out on my last day . That’s how uncomfortable the bed was .

7.0 Good
Pros: A couple of minutes from the station and very big rooms.
Cons: Under staffed - understandable since we were there off peak
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was the largest and most comfortable room in we experienced Japan. The twin room description resulted in what we would consider two double beds at least, with the only quality English speaking tv channel.. the proximity to the station and all good restaurants was great, really short and comfortable walking distance. We were able to pick up great seafood and the hotel staff were extremely accommodating and wonderful!
Cons: The security felt limited..
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Big room: yes Close to train station and bus: yes Room properly furnished: no, it is patchy and dated Kitchenette: yes, but you got no bowl, no cutting board and no cutlery at all even if you ask front desk! Fukui Phoenix Hotel - Fukui - Building
10
7.7 Good (801 reviews)
₹ 4,387+
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was good and the staff were very keen to please. It’s a Japanese hotel with all the usual handy facilities like a coin laundry and drinks machines with beer and sours.
Cons: The bathroom was up a big step. I’m elderly and found this difficult. Also, we had a non smoking room, as requested, but it did smell of cigarettes. I’m not sure how long it had been non smoking. People still smoke in restaurants in Japan so it’s maybe not a high priority like in UK. Also the reception staff didn’t have great spoken English.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is faboulous
Cons: The junior suite is big. However, the air vent of bathroom made a lot of sound which can not be turned off.

7.9 Good
Pros: The breakfast was a nice value, and you could choose either a Western or Japanese style. The onsen was very relaxing and there was also a massage chair that you can use for free.
Cons: The distance was a little far from the station, but in a good restaurants area.
6.3 Good
Pros: On the good side, smiling and eager to help front staff. The view from the room was not bad, glancing on the city's lights with little obstructions from nearby buildings. I wish I had more time to enjoy the delicious breakfast!
Cons: Bed was somewhat stiff. Room was clean enough from a cleanliness point of view, but I'd also point out a need of maintenance here and there (not limiting to the room). Lastly, I had seen far better rooms for less, and in more appealing places nonetheless.
