No air conditioning in the building waiting to pick up our rental, long line, chickens at our feet, car wasn’t what we wanted, car had defects, oil change needed to be done, previous renters bluetooth info still in the car, could not connect my own device, the windows were defective… no room for our luggage.. the budget teller said it was an upgrade. Would you consider this an upgrade? I would hate to see what I upgraded from…Reviewed 1 Oct 2022

One of my worst rentals ever. Check in and check out was a breeze. I revived an older car with a lot of scratches and dents. I signed for 3 adults and one 5yr old, but no offer of a car seat despite a major fine and court date if a child was not in a car seat. Then it turned out the key fob was dead. The tires needed air and one nearly went flat by day 4 of 5. And the best one, is while the care was obviously cleaned on the inside, there was an active ant colony somewhere in the vehicle, that kept attacking our groceries.Reviewed 4 Sep 2022

Didn’t plan on waiting in line for 1 hour in pick up and then another 30 minutes for car to be pulled up. That’s after paying and preregistrations online and being told in email “just walk up to counter to pick up your keys”. Car was banged up and inside door had discoloration which I’m not picky on but no one present to review damages and document before I drove off so I had to email photos to myself as timestamped evidence. Then we get off lot and key is out of batteries and windshield wipers were streaky and out of date. Would hope someone inspects those on drop off. They run a mill and literally as soon as car comes in they rush it to a quick cleaning and push it through to next renter. The only good part of experience was drop off was super easy and no hassle. They literally rush you through it which is great for making flights. Maybe all rentals in Kauai are like that but we had a much more mainstream experience with Budget on Oahu a couple of years back.Reviewed 19 Aug 2022

Car was great pick up was great. Only issue was when I called customer service regarding drop off. They told me there was no option to drop off the car before 6 am. Basically they were reading the website. They were wrong of course but could use better training. I asked if they had an after hours drop box he said no. You have to wait until it opens to drop off the car. It was ridiculous.Reviewed 27 Jun 2022

Pick up was ridiculous. No problem with staff at all, it just takes way to long. An hour and a half to pick up a car? There must be a way to streamline the process. To be fair, we’ve experienced the same with most of the other rental companies at LIH airport. Staff are always nice but, the whole process just takes forever.Reviewed 25 Jun 2022
