Pros (+) Decor and room were beautiful.
Cons (-) There was street construction all night, starting at midnight until the next morning when. We checked out. We called for earplugs but the hotel didn’t offer. We barely slept and when I spoke to the manager he had nothing to offer further than an apology for our disturbance. The restaurant has a good view. The food was just ok.

Cons (-) Hotel is old and well-worn - in desperate need of a rehab. Despite the Joie de Vivre name, the desk clerk on our arrival was decidedly not happy. We booked a two-bed room and got a king with a too-short foldaway cot, and on one of the coldest days of the year they did not have any spare blankets, so we were given three sheets instead.
