Pros: The owner/manager of the building greeted me with a fantastic welcome and always referred to me by my first name whenever he saw me throughout and made check in as quick as possible. Before I even went to my room I was told I was upgraded to a bigger room and given some delightful tips and places to eat around the local area. Usually I stay in the Centre and although I was just slightly further out then normal I was in the museum area with some hip and trendy places to eat and it was close to walk or catch a tram. The room was good and decorated well and to a high standard with great broadband and good bathroom facilities and brilliant samples from Rituals. The shower was strong and the room had great A/C. I couldn’t hear a thing when I went to bed (although it was a full hotel) and had an enjoyable few days. There was an honesty bar packed full of wonderful refreshments and a very clear system on how to use. On checkout I was given a cheerful goodbye and a discount voucher to use again.

Pros: We had a very good moment at Maison Emile. The host is super friendly (from the welcome, the tips for visits and restaurants, until breakfast and checkout). The building is nicely decorated. The room was cute, clean and fresh. The breakfast was good! The hotel is close to the part of the city with all local bar and restaurants, but the rest of the historical city is also easily reachable by walk or public transport. There is also a big free parking nearby. So good address to bookmark!

Cons: I was very pleased the room was automatically upgraded and delighted with the room set up but perhaps a double bed rather than two singles together would have been better as I could feel the slight gap between the beds when I was in the middle and a little nervous the two beds would separate during the night.

Pros: Nice, clean boutique hotel with a personal " antwerp" touch. Staff goes at great length to provide the necessary service. Good and healthy breakfast.
Cons: The air-co made a sissing sound all the time, so we had to put it off. Happily it was not necessary to have it on all night, although it became a little bit chilly in the morning. The acoustic isolation between rooms could have been better, our neighbors where loud when they came in, in the middle of the night.(but that was on the account of the neighbors, not on the account of the hotel, rude people, you find them everywhere.

Pros: - close to the historic city centre - the owner was very helpful (prepared maps for us, told us about tourist attractions and public transportation), he even booked a taxi from the airport for us on arrival and picked us up from the property to the airport after check-out - tea and coffee in the room - the apartment was clean

Pros: Paul was super helpful with getting us settled and providing maps and suggestions for exploring Antwerp - very appreciative of his help with street parking and I distance on carrying our heavy bags up the 3 flights of stairs - great location convenient to transporting, restaurants and a gelato shop next door - Paul was a wonderful host that we would love to stay with again.

Pros: Great location in Zuid: 5-10 minute walk to a huge selection of restaurants and bars, not to mention the gelato shop next door! Pros: Location is fantastic, close to the best cafés and restaurants, but still not busy. And Paul is a man that one can be friend with since the first word one exchanges with him. Pros: This is an absolutely wonderful place in the nice Zuid part of Antwerp. They have a few apartments apart from the lovely room I was staying in, which had coffee and tea facilities and a fridge. The room is in many ways very simple but in the most positive sense of this term and perfect size for somebody travelling alone. Paul is a fabulous host, making sure that you have all you need, and with an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of Antwerp, able to answer all your queries. My computer back pack, for example, needed to be replaced and immediately he told me about the nearest shop, where, indeed, they solved my problem in a most satisfactory way. I have no doubt that this is where I will stay next time I visit Antwerp

Pros: The apartment was cosy and clean. Paul is one amazing host, he helped with suggestions regarding restaurants and other things to see in Antwerp. For sure we are coming back to this place next time we are in Antwerp

Pros: The location of the property was great! Close to many nice restaurants, bars and points of interest. The rooms were a good size and the bed very comfortable, really liked the wooden bath in our room (room 11)
Cons: We found someone else’s jumper and T-Shirt in our room, behind the chair at the bottom of the curtains do naturally we wondered how well it had been cleaned, mentioned this to reception and they seemed a little confused...not sure how? The staff were a mixed bag. We had breakfast and as a pregnant lady they didn’t seem able to change how an egg is made, menu was fried and I asked for scrambled which was a no...it’s an egg?
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful
Cons: The room was dusty and felt dirty, not fresh feeling No tea making facility in the room, charged extra £4 per tea downstairs The room was not soundproof, noisy when other visitors came home Not good value for money Overall I was disappointed
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel. The room we had was cozy and modern designed. The hotel is in the south side of the city with good bars and restaurants near 5 minutes.
Cons: The facilities say free parking but that wasn’t true. And the bubblebath didn’t work (room 13)
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent design. Very progressive.
Cons: The cleaners were incredibly loud and started work at 830am. The hallways are concrete so sound travels easily and woke us up several times. They seemed to not really care to make an attempt To be quieter. Could have been more mindful of that considering they had guests on the same floor trying to enjoy sleeping in.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Trendy Hotel in walking distance to lot of major sights / shopping areas / restaurants Cool Design Rooms as recommended by Conde Nast International Traveller (Nespresso in the room) Friendly staff Good Restaurant Good breakfast at additional charge a la carte
Cons: If you are disabled old or unfit you may find it difficult to climb in room 14 in or out of the shower/jacuzzy (In other words if you are normally fit and like jacuzzies it's perfect !)
4.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: The place was very run down. The door hardly opened, there was a hole in the wall, toilet paper holder broken, light broken, light switches broken, the list goes on and on. When we told the reception, I'll note it down, nothing more.

Pros: Great location with plenty of eateries close by, really friendly and accommodating service, and there is a lovely cafe/bar connected to the apartment which makes check-in and breakfast super convenient.
Cons: A little noisy at night but doesn’t go on too late and the apartment is a bit rough around the edges although it is definitely value for money!
4.2 Okay
Pros:
Cons: This place should be advertised as a student studio without much expectations of style or cosiness - for what it is price is exhaustive. For me very disappointing and ruined my romantic evening - a tiny cold studio, very basic and without any style (mix of recovered furniture), visibly no maintenance (plugs are hanging out of the wall), a 20 years old tv without connection, coffee available but no water - for me like an easy way to gain tourists money. My advice would be to be more precise on the category of the accommodation in order not to disappoint tourists with higher needs & expectations.

Pros: Nice location, friendly staff, very comfortable bed.
Cons: The shower didn't work. The staff tried to help us with that, but they couldn't. For compensation, we got a partial refund.

Pros: The room was great and manager friendly
Cons: Not a problem for me but there is some noise from the street at night.
