Nightmare stay
The location
This place is old, a d that is ok, but if you are going to be an old hotel at least mantain the appliances in optimal conditions, the A/C stopped working at 10 pm in 85 degree heat and the answer from the reception was "im sorry im not sn electritian and i dont have mkre rooms" disaster since i was traveling with my kids and wife who suffered the 85 defree heat throughout the night!

the position was perfect right on the rialto bridge embankment, the cleanliness was superb, felt comfortable and safe, excellent breakfast.
First impressions are of a very old and worn hotel, stairs and corridor carpets seemed worn , bedrooms are well kept and bathroom facilities are excellent which made up for the other more disappointing aspects.e

breakfast open later
alley way outside window was at times very noisy especially in middle of the night, people laughing, walking, restaurant workers talking loudy.

The staff was incredible. So polite and knowledgeable. The front desk manager (with I could remember his name) was the best we encountered during our two weeks traveling in Italy. It's an older hotel, but well maintained and updated. The location was ideal - right on the Grand Canal and close to water bus stops, and just steps from the Rialto Bridge.
It's an older hotel, so there's no elevator but the staff is very good about getting luggage up to, and down from room. Would have like a nicer view, but also didn't want to pay for it. Thought the price was a little steep, but probably pretty average for Venice.
