We loved the quiet of Ortahisar. Five days at Turkish Cave. You need a vehicle if you plan to stay here. I’m sure the upmarket hotels offer more plush surroundings, but this was comfortable and unique. Friendly and helpful.
If you are planning on public transportation this might not be a suitable location.
The whole place was fantastic
Kadir was so friendly, always smiling and ready to help. It's the people that make a hotel speacial, and I made the best choice ever by staying in this hotel. We were upgraded to a bigger room, which I'm so thankful for and breakfast is delicious. I highly recommend staying in this hotel for a real Turkish experience. I loved every part of my stay. The dog is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. On my birthday, Kadir's wife kindly prepared me the best cake ever and before I left they gave me a lovely present to remember Cappadocia. I recommend everyone to stay here, you will find a friend in Kadir, his wife and the dog.
The bed room would have accommodated two more people if needed. It was clean, well decorated, warm, and comfy. Breakfast was great. Host was very helpful.
There isn't much to do at the house itself. Lots to do nearby, but if it had been raining or something, we might have been bored. Adding a selection of books or games would be great.
