The east of the harbour is a useful location for staying as a family as there are several churches to visit along with Hyde Park Tropical Gardens. Accommodation here is often in quiet residential areas, such as Elliz Apartment, which is a 5-minute walk from the tropical gardens.

St. George's is usually quiet in the evening except for the restaurants in the harbour. To find lively bars and clubs, you will need to travel to Grand Anse, which is about 1.5 miles away, or Morne Rouge Bay around 3 miles away. It can be helpful to stay in accommodation to the south of St. George's to make the journey shorter, like Sea Glass Place, which is on the minibus route to Grande Anse.

Grande Anse beach is one of the best beaches in St. George's and is located south of the town. It has a white stretch of sand and is very popular during the summer. It can be useful to choose a hotel or apartment a few minutes on foot away from the bus route, such as Forget Me Not Cottage – this is about 10min from Grande Anse beach by bus.

Choose a hotel close to the harbour front promenade and the Carenage areathe inner harbour to be close to cafes and seafood restaurants. The Ocean View Apartment is one of the closest places to stay, less than 5min on foot from the Carenage.
