10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed here two years ago for two nights and I loved it then. We stayed in the holiday flat this time around and we found it to be absolutely superb. This is a little gem in the Wachau - the owners make you feel very welcome and special, the location is fantastic and the facilities are great. What is there not to like???
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent two wonderful nights here, Doris and Andreas were both so kind and hospitable. We loved the breakfast in the morning, and also the tour we received of the wine cellar. We made great use of the bikes, to explore the nearby towns of Wösendorf, Spitz, and Weißenkirchen and check out the local heurigers. The location was also perfect for starting our hike to Spitz. Everything was very clean and comfortable - this stay felt like a relaxing retreat! We would recommend the Weinbau Weidenauer to all travelers, it will exceed your expectations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was O.K. Very good breakfast. Fantastic atmosphere and pleasant environment. Very friendly owners, lots of nice details of the accommodation (e.g. a place for breakfast outside the house in hot days, coffee machine in the corridor, magnifying mirror in the bathroom). The owners have a vineyard, so as in similar accommodation in Wachau, there is also a fridge with wine for sale.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful quiet setting, owners are wonderful and take excellent care of guests...especially loved wine cellar tour and welcoming glasses of wine. Delighted by wine spritzer after warm bike ride and by good quality bikes to ride the Danauwg trail (Danube). Apartment allowed us to cook our own meals and relax.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A really nice pension at the top of the town in the grape orchard family run which also has a beautiful wine cellar under it which Andreas was proud to show us and provided us with tasting of his wines they were so good we purchased some to take home. He also explained the wine tasting and food establishments in town which we also went to and they were fabulous and great value this pension and area was great
Cons: Nothing it was one of the highlights of our trip

The small, family-run Donauhof is located close to the Danube River in the wine-growing village of Weißenkirchen, in the heart of the Wachau Region, the UNESCO world heritage. It offers tastefully furnished rooms with free WiFi. A rich breakfast buffet is served in the breakfast room or on the peaceful garden terrace. Several restaurants and Heurige (local wine taverns) are within walking distance of the Donauhof.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, delicious breakfast, super location.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Family hotel, and as such you feel more at home than in hotel. I had the pleasure the meet the family as well as the pets, and enjoy some nice chats and play. Hotel is facing the Danube river, yet you would not be disturbed by traffic. Gorgeous view, even though the weather was not the right one for taking pictures. Ideal for strolling into the village, or take a walk along the Danube. The pier to catch the boat is minute away, so is also the ferry across the big river! You feel the family touch everywhere, from hall to room, to breakfast room, and ... you get a fantastic "Stube" to taste the local Wachau wines! Don't miss this opportunity to indulge (especially in a rainy day) into a full bouquet glass wine (bottle).. Clearly don't drive afterwards!! Excellent breakfast, with the locally grown Marillen (apricots) juice ...lovely for the connoisseur. Flawless wifi, if needed after a full immersion in nature, wines, and hospitality. Recht herzlichen Dank und jederzeit wieder!
7.9 Good
Pros: It was very Nice location
Cons: It was quite noise at night as my room was facing the road and the cars were riding the whole night actually. I have very bad sleep, so I am quite sensitive to these things
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is incredible! Such lovely owners, a beautiful bed and breakfast, great location. Everything was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the facilities were great. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Service was great. Owner made special allowance for us to leave 2 days earlier without penalty
Cons: The town was very quiet and restaurants were few and expensive. Wineries were closed due to harvesting. Good for bicyclists and hikers
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything about the Donauhof - Hotel Garni. Marlies and her mother were so friendly and helpful, giving their hotel a warm and family feel. Nothing was too much trouble - even when we were asking Marlies questions over the busy breakfast period. The rooms were bright, airy, beautifully furnished and decorated. The bathrooms were very modern and of a high quality and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were delicious and so varied - every taste was catered for and the dining room was bright and tastefully furnished. The hotel is right next to the Danube - it is in a very convenient and beautiful spot. There is also parking which was very handy. I cannot fault anything and highly recommend it to anyone.
Cons: Nothing - it was all perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Scrumptious breakfast, clean and comfy room and bed, super friendly staff, close to little quiet towns and restaurants
Cons: Simply nothing. Flawless.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find, good parking, nicely decorated rooms. Comfortable beds, pretty garden patio for breakfast and drinks. Very helpful and welcoming hosts Fabulous breakfast
Cons: Nothing. It is situated a few kms from Durnstein which is good because Durnstein is very touristy and parking is difficult there

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous traditionally styled Gästehaus with wonderful views over the Wachau. Josi the hostess was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was hot in Austria during my vacation: hot in Vienna, and I think possibly hotter in Weissenkirchen. How amazing to check into the lovely Gaestehaus Turm and find a fan blowing a cool breeze in my room. Not only that, but there was a chilled bottle of sodawater waiting in the fridge. The room was quite large, immaculately clean and comfortably furnished. The window on the front had a view to the Danube. Velux windows on either side provided excellent cross-ventilation. The building itself dates from 980 AD; the renovation was done with care to preserve the authenticity. The owner was very kind, coming to rescue me after I could not quite find the place to park (and driving in the narrow roads was stressful for me). Breakfast was terrific--even a self-service coffee machine with latte macchiato, espresso, etc at the touch of a button. At the time of checkout, I sampled a couple of delicious wines and bought a few bottles to bring home: a good way to preserve memories of the Wachau.
Cons: The bed was incredibly comfortable, but the pillow was "too soft" for me. Pillow preferences are a very personal choice, however, so this one might have been "just right" for somebody else.
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, with more choices than anywhere else we stayed- superb! The rooms were laid out in a kind of crazy fashion, but that was OK- it made the place that more interesting.
Cons: It, was a steep walk up the hill, carrying our bags, but that was our choice to travel without a car. I don't know how booking.com computes the overall score, but I'd rate it t least an 8.8.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in one of the apartments. The owner Josi was very helpful and she helped us by giving us travel advice from Vienna before we got there. The apartment was clean and spacious. We had breakfast in the main guest house, which was lovely. The views from the breakfast room in the main guest house are stunning.
Cons: The only small isuue we had was we cooked in the apartment and then washed up but there was no draining board but there was a dishwasher so that may explain why.
6.7 Good
Pros: Attractive room. Sparkling clean, modern bathroom Very good WiFi Outstanding breakfast in room with beautiful view.
Cons: Hard to find on very narrow road, not well signed. No parking nearby. Hot room with considerable street noise. Fan would have been welcome. No one present outside of breakfast hours. Did not have a personal feeling.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view, great wine, great place to stay with friendly hosts
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Property is in an old town on top of a hill. Very difficult to drive to because of narrowness of road running off main road. Parking is quite a distance away. Once you settle in it's worth it. Great restaurant down on the river. Didn't eat in town as suggested

Pros: As described, nice garden with parking, conservative style house of high quality in nice location of Spitz. Good breakfast with eggs any style on request, good coffee.
Cons: Nothing, all was fine.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location. Breakfast was ok
Cons: We waited in front of the gate for 10 min. It was not clear what to do, door was locked, we needed to ring twice and wait till somebody showed up. Owner was not welcoming, asked why we ringed the bell. Nothing i would have expected from a 4 stars hotel. They give you a key and you should unlock/lock all the doors, when you go out. We booked a suit with a view but it was looking at a street and it was noisy so don’t spend extra money on suit.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old house with charm, great location and good choice of breakfast.
Cons: Unfortunatelly there is no air conditioning in the house, so during the hot summer days we had two unbearably hot nights. One side of the building faces a street as well with some noise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We could stay until lunch lime - late check out! That was very much appreciated!! Thank you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this hotel located in the small village of Spitz. The staff (Elizabeth was our staff) were friendly and very helpful. The patio overlooking the vineyard and orchard was so relaxing. We enjoyed having their exceptional breakfast on this patio. There was wine and lively glasses to enjoy it in self serve. We did not want to leave. Easy to ride a bike one day to Melk and another day to Durnstein.
Cons: There was nothing that we did not love.
7.5 Good
Cons: It is a pet friendy hotel. Which would not be a problem, if the room would be properly vacuumed. But we found a dog fur on the sofa (clumps of dog hair) and on the carpet, after we found it on hands of our baby.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: This family owned and operated hotel is the best example of the famous Austrian hospitality. We spent one night in a double room in the Arkadenhof building. The old building is fascinating, our room was spacious and tastefully furnished. The bathroom is a recent renovation, very modern and functional, at the same time it fits the old building very well. Everything was clean. Coffe/tea maker in the room. Sleep quality was good. The owners are operating the reception, show you to your room, help carry your luggage, are absolutely committed, kind and helpful. The breakfast was great, excellent variety, quality and presentation of the food. Scrambled eggs made fresh to order.
Cons: Free wifi could have been better, but it was probably due to the massive historic building, no big problem.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The landscape with vinyards, fortress, and a great valley. The effort to integrate old and new. Excellent breakfast. Suite smaragd is great, although we expected to stay in the new building. Next time we’ll ask to stay in the old building. Swimming pool and spa: very good. An interesting offert of wines, nektar, brand and jam. Do not hesitate. PS The cat of the house is great.
Cons: Run by a family, it is perhaps difficult to assure a permanent reception desk. In the offer, they have to make clear where the guest will stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a homey atmosphere. The attention to detail is stunning. It's beautiful country with one overlooking the vineyard. Next to old part of hotel is modern villa with a wonderful view and swimming pool. A good breakfast. Nice place :)
6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel is simply wonderful, very nice room, unforgettable view from the terrace, relaxing area and pool fantastic, breakfast can be improved, pour choice and quality of food. The real problem of this hotel were the owners, very unfriendly and disinterested, it really seems they are not happy of what their are doing...when I asked for a degustation of their wines (which were actually very good) they made me feel like a profiteer, Check out was very cold and annoyed, what a pity!!
Cons: Owners/staff
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: One particular member of the staff really looked like she had other ideas for her life. The "This is below me. You should be serving me, not I you" vibe hung in the air like electricity before a thunderstorm. Everyone else was amazing.

Pros: Friendly owners, clean and spacious room, great breakfast. Quiet village with beautiful scenery.
Cons: No shops or restaurants in walking distance. I personally missed that the hotel didn't have a pretty garden although it does have an outdoor sitting area.
