Samos hotels

Pros: Best hotel we’ve ever stayed. Great hospitality, great decoration and view. Receptionist ladies were too nice and warm. Breakfast was perfect. Room has everything you can need (shampoo, conditioner, shower jel, hair dryer, etc) and clean. Hotel bar’s view was nice. I really want to go Samos again just for staying this hotel again.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Pros: The view of the Hotel is most likely the best one of the island! Cleaner then your own house! Staff approach is excellent!

Pros: The view from our room was excellent. The rooms were extremely clean and decorated with modern furniture. Breakfast was rich and you could enjoy the Kokari bay view while having your breakfast. Thanks to Maria for her great hospitality.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at this hotel overlooking Kokkari in Samos. We had a complimentary upgrade which was unexpected and such a lovely surprise after travelling on the overnight ferry from Mykonos. We loved the space of having a living room as well as our bedroom, as we were travelling for 6 weeks and had quite a bit of luggage. The views were extraordinary, and the room was super comfortable. Great water pressure, comfortable bed, great breakfast, everything you want when you are on holiday! We had a car which was perfect for exploring Samos, it would have been a bit of a hassle to get up and down the hill and into Kokkari otherwise, but i understand there is a shuttle. A big thank you to Maria who went above and beyond to make our stay fabulous. Thank you again and we hope to see you again one day!

Pros: Staff is very helpful. The location is very good. You can go to every popular place by walk. Theb route is very nice. And the breakfast is also very delicious. Whem I come again, here is the only place where I’ll stay.

Pros: I don’t know where to begin!!! EXCELLENT EVERYTHING From the moment you step out of the cab, you are greeted by the friendly staff, and they pamper you from there. The rooms are amazing this resort is a step above. My husband and I travel the globe and I was really taken back by the proteas not a speck of dirt anywhere the beach,pool, restaurant,lounge,pool bar. For couples it is so romantic quiet private. The view is breathtaking. Every evening when we retuned to our suite there was a gift. Wine, sweet treats, jewelry, evening liquor nuts and tee shirts.... The island is also beautiful we have been to a few Greek islands this one is absolutely lovely, scenic and only a hour ferry ride to Turkey

Pros: I have been coming to Samos and staying at this hotel for over 4 years. The property is designed well with fantastic views of the gardens and water. A wonderful holiday with a great pool area and beach. From the front desk, the waiting staff and to housekeeping, the staff are all so friendly.

Pros: Location is perfect with easy access of pedestrian zone and port area, also very pleasant Potokaki beach in walking distance. Smaller balcony with sea view. Rooms are simple but well maintained, beds are comfortable. Owner is very kind and really helpful. I would not select anything else in Pythagoreon than this hotel if we come next time.

Cons: Small shower place with short curtain in the bathroom.

Pros: This Hotel was only a five minute walk from the town centre and beautiful harbour, lots of restaurants and shops. The owner and staff were very friendly and always willing to help with directions and points of interests.

Cons: The shower was too small but it seems that most hotels in Greece are all the same, you just get used to it in the end. Otherwise all good we can’t complain about any thing. Thank you for a great stay.

Pros: The owners particularly Petros couldn’t be more helpful. He was a mine of useful information and always willing to help. The atmosphere was lovely,

Cons: The only thing that was annoying was the shower but that’s a very tiny irritation.

Pros: Petros and his family were amazing hosts. The location is excellent and only a short walk to shops, beach, restaurants, and the Efpalino tunnel. Samaina is an excellent place to stay.

Cons: The bed was a little hard and made it difficult to sleep. Other than that everything was fabulous.

Pros: Owner and staff was good humored and helpfull, close to centrum. The room was clean, clima was silent, environment was silent.

Cons: Room and the bathroom were small, furnitures were not new.

Pros: The owners are really really great and so kind. The hotel is very nice, cosy, clean and beautiful and the location is perfect.

Pros: The family that owns Samaina were very polite and we felt welcome. The hotel is charming, genuine and has a great location. They were so kind and prepared our room early for us when we arrived before check in time.

Cons: There could have been a little more space for preparing your own breakfast, and a kettle.

Pros: Large, comfortable beds, nice pool, decent breakfast & reputable toiletries.

Cons: The jacuzzi beside the pool had no steps to get into it & there is a sign that directs you down to the beach which is a difficult and dangerous track and should be avoided.

Pros: King size beds and the pool

Cons: No Wifi. They could offer day spa facilities and early opening of the swimming pool

Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent, and the hotel lay out was really nice.

Cons: The quality of the coffee at the breakfast buffet could have been better.

Pros: Quiet room with beautiful view over the pine trees down to the sea. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast buffet. Room was tastefully decorated and always spotless. Wonderful swimming in the sea (10 min walk from the hotel along a rocky path). Proximity to the charming town of Pythagorio.

Cons: The short route into Pythagorio: 25 min along a busy road without a proper walkway. However, there is a longer and much nicer path beside the sea.

Pros: The pictures of the pool

Cons: Overpriced for what you get. Pictures looked way better. No complementary water in the room. Hard beds/pillows. Lots of stairs. Build in airco was bad. Noisy generator near the pool. Bad layout of the bathroom, door opens on toilet

Cons: Air condition not strong or cold and Wi-Fi was weak at our room at the top floor

Pros: All the staff are quite exceptional in both attitude and graciousness.

Cons: As is typical in most European hotels the shower area is small, and thus water is easily spilled onto the Surrounding floor. Not really an issue though.

Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect. You can reach all points in Kokkari by walking. Moreover, hotel staff was really kind and cheerful and service was great. Definitely an excellent accommodation to stay.

Pros: Location is very good. Close to restaurants and the beach. Staff is perfect! They are so helpful. They are so kind and cheerful. Room size is sufficent.There is a small balcony. If you are on the back side you will have a very nice mountain view. Bedclothes and towels are nice and clean. Breakfast seems poor firstly but it is good quality and tastety.

Cons: Bed is too small for a tall couple. It is neither french bed nor double bed. Bathroom is too small. There is no shower cabin. If you are a person who does not like shower liner you feel uncomfortable here.

Pros: Perfect staff, clean rooms, rich breakfast, friendly and comfortable hotel. Everything was perfect.

Pros: The location is ideal, just a short walk to various restaurants and the beautiful beach of Kokkari. The friendliness of the staff was just amazing, always available for a short chat and lots of good tips. Excellent value for the money.

Cons: The room and the balcony was a bit small, but IMHO just a minor thing.

Pros: Quality, healthy breakfast with feta, tomatoes, cucumbers, breads, eggs, honey and jam, omelette, excellent yogurt, and a few more items. We only met two women on the staff and they are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The housekeeper of our section was friendly and wiped the marble floor each morning. A narrow street separates the hotel from the smooth rocky beach where the water is clear and blue-green. There are several good restaurants within a few minutes of walking, or continue to the larger concentration of restaurants and shops in about 10 minutes at a strolling pace. Kokkari was much better than Pythagorio since it has a beach and better layout. Even our rental car represtative from Vathy said that he prefers Kokkari to Pythagorio. I would stay here again.

Cons: About the only complaint I had was the smell from the drains leaking into the bathroom. Keeping a bath mat over the drain in the floor helped, but it also seemed to come from the shower. Keep the window in the bathroom open. We stayed in early October when it was pleasant weather (and it was quiet in town) but there did not appear to be air conditioning, so it could be hit in July and August. This appeared to be normal for the area, however, due the the steady wind.

Pros: What a great location, right on the sea and a short walk to a lovely beach. The hotel itself is great and the hosts themselves were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and hope that we do!

Pros: The location was perfect with a fantastic view from the terrace and from our balcony. The staff were excellent and most helpful, especially George and his mother. The room was spotlessly clean with all the amenities. Value for money very good indeed.Would defintely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Samos.

Pros: Eleni is the charming helpful manager who speaks very good English. The hotel has a large terrace overlooking the sea and Vathi town with great views of the sunset. The Mirini is relaxed yet very well organised. Its rooms many facing the sea with balconies come at different prices. Our room with a balcony overlooking the sea was comfortable, clean and with a good bathroom. There is a beach 80 m down the hill. We found parking in September was available just outside the hotel and the car journey into the centre takes about 6 minutes.

Pros: It’s was a wonderful place to relax, with the beach a short walk away. Breakfast was spot on, with good coffee.

Cons: There is very little to not like, it is a well run quiet hotel for peace and relaxation.

Pros: The hotel is in a lovely location, the room was comfortable and modern, our child enjoyed the pool a lot, and the breakfast was good and the restaurant where we had breakfast was on the terrace with fantastic views. The staff was very friendly. The day we were leaving early, we were given a breakfast to take away with us which was very kind.

Cons: The seaview room on the ground floor had a view onto parking and the seaview was really obstructed by that and the trees. We did not mind much for 2 nights but if for someone the view is crucial, perhaps request a higher floor.

Pros: The staff is absolutely amazing, they make you feel welcome from the first day. We've had an amazing new (and clean) room with sea view. The hotel has a lovely pool and good restaurant. A car is very useful to explore the wonderful island.

Cons: Standard rooms look REALLY tired! They really need an upgrade. Water in swimming pool wasn’t nice, not sure what they did with it but it had a fatty oil on it. Location wise too far away from the village itself. Not a bad place if you go for the already upgraded rooms I guess.

Pros: Price, another plus are the newly renovated bathrooms (although a bit small). We staid in a standard room downstairs. Overall a good stay.

Cons: Older room that was a bit smelly (sewer). Extremely small TV but who needs one!

Cons: I stayed twice in September. In the second studio I stayed in, the bed was old and I sank away.

Pros: Just the location, which was close to Pythagoreio.

Cons: 1. There was no main entrance. The entrance was the French door. 2. The sink was blocked, water didn’t flow. 2. There was a fire nearby that time, and the building was vacated but the host didn’t let us on time late at night that the apartment was ready to use; as a result, we paid to stay somewhere else. 3. The cleaning lady only tidied the room once. 4. The host was not there during the checking out to ask if everything was OK. 5. Generally overpriced for what was offered. There has to be someone supervising these bad practices. The fact that the demand is high does not authorize anyone to skyrocket the price for even a poor quality room, just like the said one.

Pros: Very friendly owners and Maria one of the staff was an absolute pleasure to deal with nothing was to much trouble. Maria greeted us every morning with a smile and wonderful hospitality. Highly recommend this beautiful villa.

Pros: Nice apartment with a cozy balcony. Small but functional, with all facilities, it is perfect for a short stay. Daily cleaning. Not far from Pythagoreo town and port. Breakfast buffet is Ok. Owners and Maria were nice and helpful.

Cons: Annoying huge bees at the breakfast area/common terrace, we had to take our dishes and drinks into the room everyday as bees are landing on the food all the time and it is a bit disgusting. It would be better if breakfast was served in a covered area to avoid this. Bathroom was tiny. Apartments balconies should have privacy screens, there is no privacy when sitting outside.

Pros: Clean and spacious rooms. Very polite staff! View was perfect from the room.

Cons: Expected a bit more facilities in the room for the price. Shower was a bit tight and the shower curtain kept clinging onto me. Fridge made a loud start/stop noise during the night and was a bit annoying.

Pros: Most of all the staff was welcoming and accommodating and really made us feel at home. A beautiful and quiet spot walking distance to all of Irio. The pool was great and had a great bar and was a spot to relax. The views out over the sea and the small harbor were lovely and very picturesque.

Pros: The family run hotel has a warm an welcoming atmosphere. They go out of their way to make people feel at home and to accommodate to their needs. The pool/bar area are lovely. Breakfast was just right...and could eat on porch overlooking the water.

Pros: Location by the ocean, and the unbelievably kind and happy family who runs the hotel who made us feel like family. This is a relaxing place.

Pros: Pleasant, family-run seaside hotel in a medium sized town close to the airport. Rooms are basic, compact, standard Greek-style. Staff are charming and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. The hotel was conveniently located to walk a few minutes to the town where there are a dozen restaurants to choose from. The beach is calm and good for families. One could comfortably spend three to five days here. Suggestion: try the traditional restaurant across the road and slightly to the left of the hotel.

Cons: Nothing significant. Just a couple of qualms: The power outlet far from the bed. Low fat yogurt - tastes nothing like traditional greek yogurt.

Pros: The hotel is a delightful surprise. Not only was check in was really easy, the room was better than expected and the view was spectacular (see pic). However the real beauty of the hotel lies with Virginia and the ladies, Anna and Foti, who make all the difference! Thank you again for the incredible Fava ;)

Pros: Great family run hotel. Everyone went out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible, the best tips on Samos. When I arrived they went out of their way to highlight the best tourist attractions in Samos in addition to attending promptly a small issue with the air-con. By the way great breakfast as well.!!

Pros: This is a wonder hotel in Samos. The staff was very friendly and helpful, inviting comfortable ambiance, great swimming pool with sunbeds, lovely breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms, excellent location. Excellent value for money. It was one of our favorite vacations.

Pros: Very clean ,good breakfast, 10 minutes from the main bus station.

Cons: There is nothing to do at Samos town. The only reason to stay there is if you don’t rent a car you can use the busses (not to every place)

Pros: The management and staff are very friendly and try to solve your needs effectively.. and they do. I need to make a business call and they help as much possible to arrange the location

Cons: The toilet was not good. When we get into the room was dirty.. the management fixed very professionally with all possible way to apologies. We appreciate but was a disappointment. The shower was also broken and no internet connection into the room I got (they I formed)

Pros: The location is excellent for beautiful beaches and the town of Kokkari where there are many good restaurants and shops. It's a brief walk down to 2/3 beaches, although there is also a shuttle bus if you are unable to walk easily. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the ladies on reception were very kind, the bus driver came back to collect us when the bus was full and the guy at the bar was totally lovely! The Greek evening was excellent regarding both food and entertainment.

Cons: The food could have been slightly better(breakfast) although is was adequate and the Greek evening was excellent. Breakfast became quite monotonous and the some of the dishes need more explanation. There were names on a few but not all the dishes and I heard many visitors asking staff for explanations, which was a hassle for staff. We organised the car hire through the hotel so that the car would be delivered to us but you might like to find your own supplier - the car was in bad condition and you can easily walk down to Kokkari to collect the car.

Cons: It was a total disappointment from the moment we arrived the hotel. It was a family trip with our baby and parents. We booked for 2 rooms one of which has a sea view and asked the rooms may be close to each other. They gave us the rooms next to each other but none of them has a sea view. When we warned them that we had our reservation with a sea view, they said one of the rooms has a sea view. You can barely see the sea if you are up yout toes! They said they couldn’t change the rooms because the hotel is full which we later realized there was vacancy. The attitude of the receptionist Nathalie was very rude. I really do not recommend the hotel to anybody. You shouldn’t waste your money to the places where people are not helpful and hospitable. One last thing: I don’t want to think that that was because we are Turkish!

Cons: The fact the air con is closed for most of the day to save money but they tell me it's so the generator doesn't break. Hmm....

Cons: Hotel is a bit dated. A bit out of town (as in 5 minutes walk instead of two - so nothing crazy).

Pros: Very friendly, helpful and welcoming owners, making you feel comfortable at a relative's place. Nicely served and delicious breakfast, making you wake up for an energetic day. Very clean room and beds, combined with good views from the balcony making you care less about the negative sides.

Cons: The furniture were aged, making the bed very noisy while moving. Also, the bed and pillow weren't very comfortable. Washbasin in the bathroom was so small that I needed to wash my face and brush my teeth in the shower.
