10.0 Excellent
Pros: All of it, it was wonderful.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room itself was immaculate in EVERY way and everything was of a really high standard from the lights/curtains/bedding - everything. Plenty of complimentary coffee etc as well as toiletries & the added bonus was the small fridge which was in the room. The breakfast was "excellent" - from the varied selection of juice/cereal/fruit/yoghurt etc prior to ordering our cooked food which was of superb quality and variety. Also the staff were so friendly and welcoming - exactly what you want in a host and a real asset to the overall appeal of this superb B & B. My husband and I will definitely go back for another visit.
Cons: There was nothing about our stay that we didn't like. Excellent all round.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and comfortable with an excellent breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We decided to stay out of York in a little village - Ripon was lovely and The old coach house was simply superb. Beautifully appointed and the grounds were gorgeous. Could not fault anything about the accomodation. A great breakfast every morning (you need to try their gourmet jams). As we were leaving in our car we were chased down the driveway and my wife's favourite jam was shoved in her hand as a goodbye present. 10 out of 10

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and comfy. Maggie the host was warm and friendly. Their own orange honey wonderful and I felt I had made a friend after my stay there. The breakfast was delicious too.
Cons: The approach road to the guest house and the typical Yorkshire winding narrow road from Ripon, when driving on unfamiliar roads at night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet rural get away comfy friendly not to far from tourist areas walks affordable and felt relaxed
Cons: Weather ha ha
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room - virtually faultless - bed amazingly large and comfortable; good supply of tea/ coffee/ home made biscuits. Breakfast - amazing - all locally sourced wherever possible; great selection, including home made jams and honey. Overall the venue was virtually faultless. Maggie (landlady) is always on hand to speak to everybody - extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Cons: As said, virtually faultless, although we would have liked baked beans as part of the Full English breakfast offer. The Wi-Fi connection (when we were in our room in the evening) was not great, although Maggie had explained this as soon as we had arrived (so no complaint).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The comfort and hospitality were second to none. Nothing was too much trouble but also very homely and friendly

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Natalie was very friendly and made sure we had all that we needed. The breakfast was lovely, liked that i had a choice of vegetarian options. It was a great location to visit the Black Sheep Brewery and for lovely walks. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Cons: The only thing that could have been better with the room is the shower, it had very low water pressure so was just a trickle of water when it was on, but other then that brilliant.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, welcoming and good communication on checking in. Very relaxing atmosphere and breakfast was very nice. In a superb location right next to Black Sheep Brewery and 5 mins walk to the market square. I love Masham, so friendly.
Cons: If I was really struggling to find something negative I guess it would be that the shower cubicle was a bit small but fit for purpose so it would be wrong to say we didn't like it.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast fine, good location within short walking distance of village square, pubs, restaurants.
Cons: Older style building with usual retro fit problems of space, especially the size of the shower cubicle, stairs (can be difficult with luggage). We stayed there in 2014 when it was owned and run by the previous owners who, I understand, have now retired and it has been taken over by Natalie. Whilst Natalie was very pleasant and obliging, she has a young school age child and her attention to guests sometimes appeared distracted. I did not see any other staff but that does not mean to say that there wasn't any in the kitchen somewhere.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was of exceptional quality and we had everything we needed in our room. Bank Villa is conveniently placed for Masham centre with readily available parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Natalie was extremely helpful and accommodated our late check in due to weather and traffic. Breakfast was fantastic. Masham is lovely, I wish our stay was longer as there is so much to do and see around.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Hotel would benefit from redecorating
7.1 Good
Pros: It’s location and the spacious grounds overlooked whilst having breakfast
Cons: Bedroom looked tired and in need of a makeover

Pros: Not a lot
Cons: Room cold draughty rain pours in through windows

Pros: Nice friendly staff
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent and the food was first class.
Cons: Wasn't impressed with the G&T glasses or the wine glasses could do with an update.
6.0 Good
Pros: Lovely lady on reception. Good products on breakfast menu. Location is near town. Good parking.
Cons: Understand it's an old building but windows are shocking, old and crumbling with gaps and very draughty. Ceiling in bathroom split. Carpets in corridors taped down and holes in ceilings in corridors. Shame really because she's been a grand old girl in her time :( Breakfast service disjointed. The girl at breakfast was helpful and hardworking, the young man not so much. Thought the idea of having to order baked beans and hash browns separately strange. I could understand kippers and egg Benedict but not every day items like beans ?
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location for city centre Staff friendly
Cons: Needs some serious updating
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was perfect for our event. The room was clean and the staff were nice.
Cons: The rooms are shabby with peeling paint, flickering lights, and loud taps. The mattresses were old and springy...not comfortable. But, the room was clean.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Staff were very pleasant. The phrase ‘A bad workman blames his tools ‘ does not apply here. They tried to please using the facilities they had. The hotel is in dire need of a makeover.
Cons: Evening dinner was booked for my wife’s birthday and it was in the Turf bistro attached to the hotel. We were sat in the middle of something like a Wetherspoons bar with people sat at the bar shouting at a Football match on a large screen tv. Food 5 out of 10. I had steak and kidney pie that was a little bereft of kidney The room no16 was large enough for 3. One king and one 3 quarter bed. Windows rotten (see photo) Cold wind lifting the blind all night. Room very cold. Bathroom across a small corridor that was also the Fire Exit. Weird The bathroom fittings were falling off the wall but clean enough. Repairs seem to have been done by ‘Bodgit and Scarper’ Breakfast served 0800 to 0930 We arrived at 0845 and were shown through to a room away from where all the food was. IT WAS FREEZING. We moved to a warmer table in the main room. When I went for my Cooked breakfast it was presented in Lidded tureen kept warm with candles. Hard sausage. No bacon. Sloppy scrambled eggs. Rubbery fried eggs. Tinned plum tomatoes and roughly chopped large flat mushrooms. Bacon turned up 5 minutes later. Toasters not big enough for bread. Had to keep turning. Small matter I know but breakfast was cold before toast was ready Don’t know how they got an award for breakfast (see pictures). Finally on the breakfast, when we left the breakfast room at 0935 a waiter appeared with enough bacon and mushrooms to feed 40 guests. Bear in mind that breakfast finished serving at 0930. What more can I say. Well I could but I have a life and need to get on with it Needless to say. Won’t be staying here again.
7.9 Good
Pros: The oldy world style good room size very good breakfast
Cons: Nothing really just needs lots of money spending on it rotten windows, carpets need new in many places decor needs upgrading however appreciate that this would be exspensive ... you can see the grandness through it all
