Location couldn’t be better. Right by beach, boardwalk, great food, favorite frozen yogurt spot, etc
Probably low level case of bedbugs.
I was far away from the stores and good restaurants and the hotel isn’t in good conditions (everything is old). But I liked the good service from the personnel.
Hard beds and telephone communication was not good
I enjoyed the staff and the location the most. As a solo traveller I felt safe. There wasn't a fridge in the room but the staff allowed me to use the main fridge. The hotel had several floors that had interesting décor and settings. The chaise lounge on the top floor was a great way to relax - you could see up and down Basilio Drive and the ocean. Basilio has all kinds of restaurants, cafe's, art galleries and shopping. It's only a block or two from my favorite used book store and café called A Page in the Sun. It's also a few blocks from several organic health oriented restaurants. One block to the Beach and the Malecon. The hotel was amazingly quiet for such a busy location. The pool was clean. Walk outside day or night and flag a taxi, find one of the best restaurants right next door, a convenience store on most corners or catch some local talent in the market place. Perfect for solo travellers or couples who are needing a short getaway on a budget.
They did the very best they could with an older Boutique Hotel. For the price, the location and housekeeping it's great value.
Location is great to malecón and other activities where the locals go. Right next to the best tacos I ever had.
Bring own shampoo, was not available and when asked for a bottle got a tiny bag (ketchup size)
