Front desk were awesome
the drivers to the airport nice lads made an effort to connect. ( humans )
The reception didn’t tell us that breakfast was £2 less if we booked with them. £13 for a piss poor breakfast is a a lot of money, black pudding hard as steel and rest was testless so annoyed £27 for two wasted on the first day of my holiday. If it was £27 and really good I would have been upset but £27 and rubbish made me so annoyed. The coffee in Wetherspoons £1 is much better than this. The breakfast at Yates £3 with table service not buffet is better than this. Don’t evan ask about the price of drinks in the bar.
Nice big hotel near the airport
I booked the Clayton for my last night in the U.K. I wanted a comfortable room near the airport with free transport to and from the terminals and that’s what I got. The bed was the only letdown; I had two singles, and neither was very comfy...a bit hard and lumpy actually.
Good but Busy Airport Hotel
The Clayton Hotel is very good at providing accommodations for lots of people. Lines are long but move quickly. Food is what you'd expect. The bar has lots of seating. Basically, it is a very convenient and well-run hotel.
The Clayton does cut a few corners. There are no tissues in the room (my nose was running from a cold). The soap bar is amazingly small but more than is needed for a shower or two. Would I stay at another hotel at the airport, no. I recommend the Clayton.
Very clean and efficient. Good service with the shuttles to the airport.
The bar could have had more ambience. Seemed a little sterile
It was close to the airport and they have a 24 hr shuttle
However, the shuttle was late, like 40 minutes, and we had to call twice to make sure they were coming. The room was old. Like 1975 orange couch old
I liked the room, the bed, and the large bar/lounge/dining room.
The price goes up every time I book. The mini-bus transportation, even though it requires booking, seems a bit of a free for all when waiting to board the bus, leading me to believe that the number of bookings do not match the number of seats!
Great hotel well located within the airport comple
Convenient to the airport with a good restaurant
The only thing I could complain about is no one advised us that the heating/cooling system was turned off in our room upon arrival.
I disliked paying for the parking
No ice machine
Very convenient for airport and car rental. Will accept early arrivals. Excellent full breakfast.
Some rooms are not up to par - smell and have been patched up. There is no air conditioning so it can be bad on a hot day. They will supply a fan, if you ask.
Terrible service...Go to the Crown Plaza
Close to the airport
I thought I was booked into the Crown Plaza next door. I arrived a was greeted with a smile. Since it was 10am they had no problem allowing me an early check in...then I realized my company booked me in Bewleys :( Different experience altogether..check in lady was Eastern Europe...not very friendly and recited the welcome greeting with teeth clenched. Then I asked if I could check in early having flown 25 hours. Yes for 20 pounds...OK no problem. I had already paid in advance for the hotel and because my credit card would not work in the machine I had to go and find a cash machine for 20 pounds which meant driving into the nearest town. Then was advised there was a charge for parking and breakfast! Honestly, if you are traveling long distance and prepaid your room I would like to think that for 20 pounds they could have let me had a shower first before my meeting that afternoon!! I will be staying at the Crown Plaza next time for sure. Ho, and the gym was terrible...one bike one tred mill and thats it!
Slow checkin. Cost of car park seemed excessive charge.
A great place to stay if you're flying in late in the evening or flying out early in the morning. Only a few hundred metres away from the terminals and the railway station.
The service was a bit impersonal. Then again, I guess you shouldn't expect much if you're only staying for one short night.
Had a very nice meal
unsatisfactory bed factory eating set up
Quietness even though close to airport. Spacious, comfortable room and good food available.
Excellent facilities. Good, interested and helpful staff Good quality meals at reasonable cost
Distance to terminal 3
staff R OK
it is not clear about when parking is on or off site
The rooms were so comfortable which was great after spending a long time travelling. And the location was perfect.
