Place is run down. Most of the gates are locked. I still haven't received my deposit back.
The jacuzzi didn't have jets in the tub
Convenient to the strip. No smoking allowed anywhere on the property. Comfortable bed.
The hallway carpeting was filthy. The bathroom was cleaned but the shower and bathtub both could use a good scrubbing.
The King sized bed was comfy and clean. It was mostly very calm in the hallways during my stay. Staff was friendly and courteous. I had to check out of my room one morning since they were doing loud renovations on the room next to mine. They accommodated me with a new room. You're about a 25 minute walk from the strip.
Stains on the room carpet and weird pink stains on the white furniture. A lot of mold crusted around the rim of the bathroom faucet nozzle, making me think twice about using the water to brush my teeth with. You do hear the planes go by since it's located in the airport passage way.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel is in great location not far from strip. That's about it.
I used to stay at this property when it was Rumors Boutique Hotel and I enjoyed every one of those stays immensely. That is not the case with the "new" Serene. The main concern was how dirty the room was. It seemed as though no one ever cleaned it. The walls and furniture had multiple stains, some of which looked like dried blood. Our bed sheets also had stains on them. The air conditioner was leaking down the wall. There was no coffee maker and the other main issue was our door did not close properly, even when locked. It was so poorly fitted that an enormous amount of light and sound penetrated the room, making it difficult to sleep. I included pictures of these issues. The patio door didn't lock all the way but there was on old broom handle provided to wedge between the door and wall. The patio was in disrepair and the furniture was very dirty. I am normally lenient on most of these points but I am very disappointed. I was happy to see the decor had not changed but the overall quality has deteriorated almost beyond belief. I reached out to the hotel about these issues but never got a response. Other things you should know when booking: 1 - If you order food from take out (Pizza, Chinese etc.) you will have to go and meet the delivery driver in the lobby. They are not allowed to bring the food to your room. 2- If you are a smoker you will not be allowed to smoke anywhere on the property. You have to go out to the parking lot.
