7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast v good
Cons: Considering for the price of my stay, I felt the bed room was just average, side of dressing table, ie paint work shabby and peeled, in bathroom, toiletries v limited, no shower cap, or body lotion. The room was cold when I arrived, when I brought this to the attention of staff this was corrected.
8.8 Excellent

9.7 Excellent
Pros: Old world charm and very polite staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for New Year and I genuinely could not have made a better decision than for us to attend the gala. It was the loveliest even either of us has ever attended. We bought a floor length dress and a three piece suit and tie for the occasion and were not disappointed. We even had to send my dress last minute to the cleaners to be steam pressed and the staff got it back on time for us to attend the gala without rushing. After champagne and chatting at first, we all made our way to our assigned large round table. We sat with 4 other couples from all over the world. The dinner and dessert were lavish and the conversation was thrilling. The service was incredible. After we ate we followed our new friends to the lounge for swing jazz, dancing, a champagne toast and a wonderful send off to the new year. I truly had the time of my life. The next day we woke up exhausted and a bit hungover so we stayed in. A bubble bath in the beautiful clawfoot tub, a hot cup of peppermint tea, room service meals and a Law and Order marathon was just what the doctor ordered. We cannot say enough good things about Hayfield. Our sincerest thanks to Claire and the rest of the staff for making New Year 2020 the best of our lives so far.
Cons: Hayfield Manor provided perhaps the most exceptional experience in a hotel we have ever had.
6.0 Good
Pros: Facilities
Cons: The hotel is hard to find. Even the GPS struggled to get us there. Old world atmosphere, with some unusual and welcome additions; a bottle of whisky at the reception desk to parch the thirst and ease the frustration of locating the place. Another fun touch, a putter and play practice green in the room. It is a nice place but would I stay there again? probably not. It's the little things that matter in a hotel and the dinning reception left us cold. We made dinner reservations and showed up on time, appropriately dressed, only to be kept waiting while others streamed by, were welcomed, and seated. Eventually,We were placed in a back room at what must have been the worst table in the place, center stage, traffic area in a room surrounded by cozy booths. The Food and service excellent, but the second rate treatment left a bad taste. So we move on, to a better experience somewhere else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very traditional.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were beautiful, clean, and spacious. We arrived early, got a room quickly, and even were upgraded to a suite just like that. The staff treated us like queens and kings, making us feel like part of their family. Everyone was cheerful and helpful during our stay, and the bartenders were eager to talk about local places to see and shop at. A highlight indeed for our Ireland trip.

Mary and staff made the four of us a early breakfast to accommodate a early tee time at Old Head Golf Course, which is only 20 minutes from the sea side location that has great sea views from several rooms and all of the outside areas. If you are in this area of Ireland you will enjoy your stay at Blue Horizon B&B.
Cons: If you have mobility issues there is not a lift although Mary has several ground floor rooms which she would book for someone requesting one in advance.

Pros: Every thing People, bed view weather location off the path and on the hill for spectacular views. The food and hosts mary and Jim great. Lusitania was sunk off the point there, a small museum is there to see. Jim

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms with amazing comfy beds. lovely lounge areas and the Exec lounge with complimentary breakfast was great. Helpful, friendly and professional staff.
Cons: the location felt like it was in a run down area. We ate in the River Club restaurant on Friday night and the steak was burnt on the outside, other than that the food was good.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location and view. I enjoyed the seating on each floor. Gave us a chance to sit and visit while enjoying the gorgeous view of the river.
Cons: Would love a quick cafe for coffee in the morning when we didn't want a full breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room service food was excellent and a real treat to get in a hotel. The bar and terrace are really lovely and the brunch was excellent!
Cons: The sink was blocked in our room unfortunately and the toilet didn’t flush properly. Seemed to be a water/drain issue. We are CPL wine day chat joy as it happened that morning. The leisure area needs improvement - it’s a public gym and a bit run down in parts - especially the steam room. The steam room didn’t have a cold tap to clean the seats and there were a few plastic bottles lying around and the tiles are broken on the seat. Not really a 4 star leisure experience! It’s an expensive hotel so you expect better facilities.
8.0 Excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: We had book swimming pool when taking child. Swimming pool too small for size of hotel and fact that it is five star. Only allowed to use pool if you pre- book and only for one hour session. Which only led to pool being extra busy. Very bad for 5 star hotel.
Cons: Size of pool and facilities see above comment
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff are incredible, so helpful throughout our stay. The reception area/ spa area of the hotel is 5 star however the bedrooms are not. Perfect place to come as a family.
Cons: Our room was very dated and in need of refurbishment: torn curtains, stain on the bed sheets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, from the facilities to location, were of such a high standard, but the stand out experience for us were the excellent staff in Fota Island. We’d like to give a special mention to Val and Yanna who looked after us so carefully during our Saturday evening dinner. It was a wonderful addition for the kitchen and serving staff to provide a really thoughtful “Happy Birthday” dessert plate for my girlfriend, and their singing was very impressive! The ladies in the spa were obliging in helping us relax in the brilliant spa facilities. The warmth and friendliness of the staff, who went above and beyond, cannot go unacknowledged. Thank you to all, we had an amazing weekend, and we look forward to visiting Fota Island again.
Cons: That we had to leave.

5.1 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: When I arrived, the owner claimed he did not receive the fax advising of my reservation for a double room. He first sent me to a twin room which had little space. After complaining, he moved me to a room with two twin beds and said he would push them together. He did not do that. Overall I was unimpressed with the accommodations.

Cons: Very hot at times!
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast and food in the restaurant was lovely. Reception staff - really nice and helpful.
Cons: During lunch we had to go to the bar ourselves to get drinks. The waiting service was just a little off - maybe more training required. Toilet in our room didn’t work properly and the bedroom was uncomfortably warm - even with radiator turned off.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Keeps it homely feel despite it being more akin to a little boutique hotel. Lovely room, very nice bathroom and very comfortable
Cons: Breakfast is cooked to order and in order, so if there’s a good few in front of you you will have to wait a bit for the cooked breakfast - but it shows how impressive the menu is!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large spacious room with great comfort. Free on-site parking. Gluten free options for breakfast catering well for coeliacs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: delicious carrot cake and the rest of foods
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Comfortable, quiet house.
Cons: The Eircode with Google Maps brought me to a farmhouse 6 miles from the guesthouse! Breakfast staff should ask how one likes the eggs cooked, not just serve them up runny/rare.
7.1 Good
Pros: Proximity to train station, friendliness of staff.
Cons: I could hear the person above my room packing and showering and walking up and down around midnight, which wasn’t a very pleasant when you try to fall asleep. I guess the walls aren’t so thick so maybe it’s worth putting a set of earplugs per room.

1.0 Poor
Cons: Stupid credit card policy ruined valentine's

Pros: The hotel and rooms were very attractive and clean. The restaurant was fine.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, quirky design and helpful staff. Great choice for breakfast
Cons: Nothing, really enjoyed the stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great large room with all facilities incl wifi. Great breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Great evening meal in restaurant. We are world travelers staying in 3-4 star chain hotels, we wish every hotel was this good! We never heard one plane take off! Stay here. We cancelled a city centre hotel in Cork on arrival because of traffic and limited parking. i.e. No parking! Stay at this hotel ! You will be pleased. Staff are very helpful too!
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfy and well priced
Cons: Massage chairs in cinema not working Food in restaurant not too great
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Everything! I wonder why it's just 4 star? Clearly 5 star service.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The reception staff Sarah & Breda were exceptionally nice and very funny, the valentines competition was a very good idea, we got an upgraded room and free drink which were excellent prizes to win!
5.7 Okay
Pros: Location and cleanliness, except for being a smoking room, of the hotel are very good.
Cons: We had to book online at the last minute. Booked 3 rooms for 3 adult family couples. When we got there we realized with the rooms given, no way to tell online, we could get away with 2 rooms as they were big rooms. We asked to change and weren't allowed because of the online booking. Also one day of the rooms assigned was a smoking room that smelled very strongly of cigarettes, again asked to change and weren't allowed to. Rooms were quite pricey as well, the most expensive night on our 2 week vacation was at this hotel. Had breakfast the next morning and one room came with breakfast, no idea why?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were excellent, especially at the bar.
Cons: Not many alternatives if you do not like the bar etc
9.7 Excellent
Cons: Great overall. Slow service in lobby area for the lobby menu was only complaint.
7.0 Good
Pros: Close to airport , easy access
Cons: Public bathroom near reception was filthy and no toilet paper in multiple toilets! A handprint on the elevator near reception stayed there the entire time . Just a bit grotty for such a potentially nice hotel! Cinema - Dunkirk was supposed to play at 9 every night Both nights I turned up, cinema grotty, waited 30 min, gave up, movie didn’t run. Just not gold star .

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, relaxed ambience of the hotel. Great staff and food
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Cons: I requested a late check out and got a phone call that I could stay in the room till one. When I got to the hotel they informed me that I need to pay extra for each hour I stay in, and this was not mentioned through the phone.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: While the wait staff (excluding the bar staff) were rather helpful, the one working elevator was slow, the spa did not have any openings, and we received a 3am wake up call that we did not authorize. For a luxury hotel, they have some work to do.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable, and the common areas too. The location was perfect for us (25 minutes walk from town) and the free parking was a huge bonus. I can see that for some, closer to town would have been preferable, but it was perfect for us. The breakfast was delicious, and the gluten-free options were great. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The first place I stayed to have a mirror and light in room to apply make up
Cons: Sitting in the bar it was very cold but to be fair the outside door was broken
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the hotel overlooking the river was excellent. The breakfast was superb. The hotel bar was atmospheric and very friendly.
Cons: It’s further from the city centre than I realised. The decor is rather soulless.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable room.
Cons: Bacon at breakfast hard and overcooked. However fresh supply provided later. Otherwise brilliant breakfast.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice and modern hotel with some great views at the rear of the hotel. Hotel is aesthetically pleasing with a lovely decor.
Cons: We were in room 241 which turned out to be an adjoining room. We might aswell have just the left door open as the noise was very loud, could clearly hear conversations in the room next door. Twice during the night the people in the room next door opened their adjoining door and started at the door handle in our room. Very disappointing for such a nice and expensive hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view. The chef cooked fresh vegan breakfast for us. The staff were lovely. The location was perfect and the complimentary parking was excellent.
Cons: The toiletries in the bathroom were miniscule bars of soap. There was no shampoo or shower gel. It is impossible to wash your hair with a tiny piece of soaf. When we asked at reception for shampoo and shower gel we were given greasy body lotion. Also the gym was out of action for 3 days due to refurbishment but we were not made aware of this when booking. This is such a shame as 4 members of our family have stayed here several times but we would prefer better toiletries in our superior room. Complimentary coffee in bedroom was not very nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Kingsley was a great place to settle down In Cork. The staff were professional and took pride in their work. The rooms were nice and clean. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: I didn't mind this actually but the Kingsley is about a 15-20 minute walk to the city center. You could take a cab or walk it. The reason i didn't mind was because it was far enough away that you weren't surrounded by the noise.

Pros: Our apartment was great. staff came to check the water temperature and of course it was hot while they were there but 30 minutes later the hot water was gone.
Cons: The only problem was that we had to take cold showers. The hot water latest for maybe one person. Our family takes fast showers so to run out so quickly was unheard of. Even in the morning, there was no hot water. The staff came to check the water temperature and of course it was hot while they were there but 30 minutes later the hot water was gone.

Pros: Fantastic location with beautiful views.Lovely, friendly staff.Great hospitality and a lovely breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mary was the perfect hostess gave us a great recommendation for dinner.

7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast v good
Cons: Considering for the price of my stay, I felt the bed room was just average, side of dressing table, ie paint work shabby and peeled, in bathroom, toiletries v limited, no shower cap, or body lotion. The room was cold when I arrived, when I brought this to the attention of staff this was corrected.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Located in the center of town. Beautiful, quality, luxurious decor, tastefully put together. Exquisite breakfast, a mini banquet with wholesome delicacies to tempt the palate. Comfortable beds and good quality linens & towels. Complementary tea, coffee & water in room. Voya beauty products appreciated.
Cons: Didn’t like the Rattan carpet, it was very uncomfortable under foot in the bedroom.
