Surprised just how close this hotel is to everything you would want to see in Istanbul. All easy walking distance. Beds very comfortable. Staff are very helpful indeed.
No tea/coffee making facilities. Rooms are very small and could do with drawers to put clothes in. Nicely decorated but lovely lamp had shade hanging off, so spoiled the overall look.
Good location in historical centre, we appreciated a lot the view from our room.
The hotel is undergoing reconstruction so the rooftop terrace, one of the main reasons we booked this hotel was not open. However on seeing our disappointment they arranged for us to have tea and coffee there. The views were amazing. We were the first people tohave coffee there in 8 months they told us. We booked a triple room and when we found it was a double and a strecher bed they put another bed into the room for us. They were very obliging.
The panoramic triple did not have very good views.
A very comfortable, luxurious and clean hotel with very serving and polite staff. Friendly atmosphere, great location just next to Aghia Sofia and the majority of the city sights, plenty of shops and very nice traditional restaurants and pastry shops nearby. Good breakfast, very reasonable price and generally very positive energy!!! l will definitely come back!!
The refrigerator did not have a low enough temperature so that some snacks we had with us could be properly maintained. A kettler to make tea or coffee in the room would be helpful. They had it in some hotels I have been and I really needed to use it.
And Hotel has got probably one of the best location in the Sultanahmet area. All major historical sites and buildings are with in an easy stroll. The tram stop is almost at its doorstep. The fact that it is situated in a little cul de sac next to the major attraction means one has a little oasis away from the bustle and with everything within an easy stroll away. All sorts of restaurants from small local eateries to famous establishments can be easily reached by foot. With the tram line so close by other parts of Istanbul can be readily accessed. Views from rooms with panaromic views are fantastic with stunning views of the blue mosque and the aga sofia. Their restaurant and roof-top terrace offers unhindered views of hisorical Istanbul.
