Pick up was horrible. Longest line of my life. I stood in line for 2hrs to get my car.. once I finally got to the parking garage, the attendant put us in a car that someone just got out of 5 seconds prior. When I got up to the gate, the attendant there couldn’t get the ID to scan.. typed it in manually and told me this car was due for emissions and I had to bring it back. Went back to the front and they threw us in a newer car that again was just dropped of less than a minute ago.. the car was nice.. but only had 3/4 tank of gas in it. Waited again in the car line to get to the gate and finally went on our way. Trash start to my vacation.. spent a total of 4hrs to get my car and go. When I brought my car back I was not pleased to see charges of 240+ after I already paid 300 to book initially.. in total I was supposed to pay 400 and I added the toll pass for 50 so I don’t understand where the extra came from.. all in all a terrible experience since I booked with them to save time and money, both of which did not turn out to be the case. When we got there to pick up our rental they had NO vehicles left. There were a lot of people that didn’t get a vehicle even with a reservation. Definitely put a damper on our vacation. Had to get a taxi and pay a lot more when we did finally get a vehicle. Probably will NOT use them again.Reviewed 19 Mar 2023

Long line at midnight. Worse the agents were trying to sell damage to customers using high pressure high scaring technique. It took lot of time for each customer. Worst was that even we repeatedly told him we don’t need insurance and we had the credit card covering it. He still billed as 40 plus bucks for the insurance which later found printed on the document bout I did not check since it was midnight. Very bad. I didn’t see anywhere that a chip credit card was required for my rental. Thus I ended up being stranded at the airport, and ended up taking the train to my destination. I got no solution or help from anyone. I will avoid using a rental car like the plague now. Horrible experience. Feels like collusion with credit card companies. Our experience with Dollar/Thrifty last February at Orlando International Airport was good up until we found a $254 charge on our credit card when we got home. When we called to see what the charge was for the customer service representative referenced a $15.88 charge per day charge for insurance. We explained to the representative that we declined the insurance when asked about it upon pickup. The rep said “I had signed for it.” I asked for them to send me a copy of my signature, they said they would and never did. They also said they would have a supervisor call me back about the issue and they never did. We are still in contact with Dollar trying to get our money back, but we have learned our lesson and will never use them again and neither will any of our family or friends.Reviewed 7 Mar 2023

Card kept getting declined and we couldn’t understand why. We eventually had to swap the named driver and pay an additional cost to do this, and we were then charged for the premium insurance. The receipt said ‘accepted’ however this was never even mentioned to us. We would have been more vigilant but all this happened after queuing for 2 hour at the desk. Similar queues then occurred at the car collection, where a man pointed at a car and said that’s yours. We needed a car seat and this was stated on our slip, but we had to them wait another 20 minutes for that. The overall experience was appalling. Never again.Reviewed 6 Mar 2023

Started off with a ton of hidden fees and we were told we weren’t allowed to decline their insurance. Took 25 minutes for someone to show us the cars, finally got in the vehicle and it reeked of marijuana. When we went to exit the garage, there were about 40 cars in line- there was no attendant there to check anyone out. We sat for over an hour before someone showed up. Upon driving the car, the tire had a slow leak and we had to put air in it everyday. We tried to exchange the car at 3 different locations that all were “out of cars”. NEVER AGAIN.Reviewed 2 Mar 2023

The vechicle itself was wonderful . I picked it up in Fort Lauderdale I rented a 15 passenger Chevy 3500 . They gave me a very tall ford transat that wouldn’t fit in the parking garages . When we went to return it at Orlando airport we drove around for 2 hours almost missing our flight cause we couldn’t fit in the return garage and everyone kept telling us we couldn’t go in . After two hours lots of tears we had 15 people including kids driving around the airport trying to find someone to help us . I finally found a young man from thrifty who went above and beyond to come outside where we weren’t suppose to be parked and took the van for us . Apparently they don’t have any signs for oversized vechiles for thrifty or the parking at Orlando airport . It clearly stated on our agreement it was to be returned to the airport but the manager from Orlando said it should have been returned to a diff thrifty cause it was too tall for airport . I have never been so stressed and anxious and kids were so upset in my life . Also when we finally got in airport and through security we ran the entire time 12 kids 3 adults 1 who is a senior and just barely made our plane .Reviewed 1 Mar 2023
