Location They tried to charge a "resort fee" of $25 per room per night to cover "amenities" such as pool towels, a newspaper, small bottle of water in the room, down service, business and fitness facilities, and other minor incidentals that all major hotels provide for at no charge. I had them remove that charge from our bill. We will not stay there again or anywhere where they try to nickel and dime you at every turn. No self parking - and valet charge was $22 per day. This is in the off season and an outrageous cost.
staff helpful, beach towels and chairs provided Funky smell in room like old body oder
Good, friendly staff, clean room, refrigerator, nice beach, nice pool Valet parking required. Staff will get something from car for you, but no easy access to your car. Construction on both sides. If going out for the day, not an issue.
It was an all right stay. The staff was friendly. The location was al right. The beach area was small.
The staff was somewhat nice and understanding about construction. It started at 7am. Hammering, 1000ft crane engine vibrating your room, metal and wood clanking and yelling. They did move us to the other side of the hotel. The hotel management or staff never let us know about any of the problems until too late (a lot of excuses). Also some of there beds are infested with bed mits. My son was bitten all over the next morning. The management will not refund your money. It seems that satisfying there customers is not very high on there priority. You will not get any resolution from corporate customer service. They are worse. All this hotrel cares about is making money. Maybe I will be sending them a Dr bill for my son's condition. Not worth all the trouble. Stay away from this hotel the entire 2015. Construction will be going on until the end of this year.
My family and I have been staying on the Clearwater Beach strip for over 15 years. This was the sixth hotel we have tried in this area, and I'm glad we did. The hotel was very well situated with an adjacent private beach and an adjoining IHOP that made our 3 day stay very convenient. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. I am prone to developing lower back pain when sleeping on poor mattresses, but had no problems with these beds. This is a no frills hotel, so if you are looking for modern decor or marble bathrooms you best look elsewhere; however, if you are looking for a reasonably priced beachfront hotel then look no further. The adjacent construction was noisy. Further, since the adjacent hotel is going up on what used to be this hotel's parking lot, all cars were parked offsite by hotel valets. The problem with this arrangement is that a $15 per day valet fee was charged to cover the costs, which diminished some of the value of staying here. Further, it was not uncommon to wait over 20 minutes to get your car after making the request. To be fair, the front desk does instruct you to reserve your car at least 10 minutes in advance to avoid the wait, but on particularly busy nights, even with a reservation I was forced to wait over 20 minutes as my car was "blocked in by another car." Finally, the hotel has a beach bar that is visited by many locals that pull up in their boats or jet-skis. Many of these vessels are anchored in shallow waters, which reduces the overall bathing space.
The staff had a professionalism about them, but also maintained an amazing sense of humor. The stay was everything we could ask for. Jordan at the front desk was very sweet and Kyle, who helped with our bags and valet, was also very attentive. We would definitely recommend and will be going back.
The location, pool, and secluded beach were very nice. The staff were fantastic! There was construction on both sides of the hotel. Each morning I awoke at 7AM to hammering. The AC didn't work in my room. There are no snack machines in the entire place only 1 coke machine. It needs a major facelift.
Great location with easy access to beach and pool. Within walking distance to main stores and restaurants. Construction was crazy around us and parking was not very convenient but great besides that.
Wish l could have stayed here. Kayak sold a room that was not available.
Nothing Having to valet park 2 blocks away
What I can say is that the staff really went out of their way to make sure everything went well for us. Someone spilled coffee on the back of my car. This was only realized after the valet brought it to us upon check out.
It was an older hotel but the staff was friendly and the room was very clean . Beach area small but nice and clean. Very nice beach staff. My flight was canceled the day I was supposed to arrive so I didn't arrive till noon the next day. They would not credit me for the day I did not use. My balcony faced a construction site with such horrible noise that started at 6 AM . The disclaimer said it would just be a minor disturbance - definitely not minor! After that I requested the first night refunded again since I did not stay there. The gentleman at the desk was very nice but was not the manager .The manager did not even have the courtesy to come out and face us but in the end did credit me the one night. The pads on the chairs by the pool were very old and dirty.
The receptionist was very friendly. The rooms were nice and comfortable. I was traveling with my parents and four children. We had two rooms, and we were pleased with both rooms. My parents room had an ocean view, which my mother absolutely loved. The hotel is close to the beach allowing the kids to take a walk on the beach the evening we were there and collect shells. Upon arriving at the hotel you pull up to the front door where a valet takes your vehicle. The area out front was small which made me clostrophobic (I hate driving in tight spaces). If more than one family was there, loading or unloading in their vehicle, it became cramped.
Super close to beach, over all clean and big rooms. Good price for being so close to beach! Shower faucet was in really bad condition. Knob was old and you had to use both hands and a lot of force to open! $15 extra dollars for parking!
We are arrived late at the accommodation. There was no reservation in my name with my address yet two other reservations made in my name at two different addresses ???? where we found ants on the bed, kitchen and bathroom. The decor was disgusting with dirty paint work rusty brown toilet roll bathroom rail etc. Couldn't close the kitchen cupboard as the extracted on the ceiling was hanging down. The patio door latch was broken so they patched it up with a different one, not secure. The units in the kitchen and room where disgusting as ripped formica on the cupboards which is very unhygienic. We where told the hotel is being demolished next year hence no updates or repairs. Worse hotel I have ever stayed in.The breakfast was coffee a cake and yogurt, ( not a breakfast ) COMPLAINED to hotel but they said they couldn't do anything I would have to speak to the company I booked with. Tried ringing them but got cut off and they didn't phone back . Will pusue this when I get home. Our view will all go on TripAdvisor with photos
Location, very clean. Elevator
The hotel is a little older but the staff was very nice and our room was clean and exactly what we needed. An affordable place to spend one night. Will stay again next year. Nothing, it was exactly what we were expecting.
Location--walk to all and almost on the beach. friendly STAFF GOOD AT ANSWERING QUESTIONS older property, . so- so continental brkst smLL KITCHENETTE
They gave us a free upgrade because we had booked our room previously, and all the rooms sold out. The big rooms facing the beach are gorgeous. No staff at the front desk after 9pm and all night. We left at 6am, no one was even there to check us out.
Nothing The only good thing was closeness to beach
The extra $15 per car to park on property makes it a poor choice for the money.not a good value at all A/C very loud .
Staff excellent!!!! Fixed my problem with a bonus. Love those guys at the Hyatt...Worth every pretty penny! My reservation from Bookit.com did not arrive in time for my arrival. I waited in embarrassment for 45 min while trying to solve the problem over the phone. The manager took care of the problem later. I will never book a res with Bookit.com again!!!
the facility was amazing and so was the pool the sheets were not changed in our hotel in 10 days. the hotel doenst have its own housekeeping staff it looks like. every day was a different maid.
We loved the room and view of the pool deck. The location is adjacent to a pristine beach, the beach walk and not far from shopping, dining and transportation. My wife got a shell massage at the Sandiva Spa, which she said was very nice and worth the expense. Our ice maker in our fridge didn't work, but the staff was helpful, fixed it quickly and brought us a bag of ice. The hotel dining was also very good. There were plenty of options, local flavors and the food was delicious. There was nothing, that I noticed or experienced, that detracted from our short vacation. It's an upscale resort in a resort town. So the hallway carpeting is worn and wrinkling, and there are nicks and scuffs here and there. If you're the type of person for whom perfection is your expectation, then stop here. You're better off building your own perfect resort from scratch. Save this one for the rest of us.
Excellent food! Pool was not overcrowded, even on a holiday weekend. We were able to find a chair, no matter the time of day. Beautiful hotel. Friendly, gracious staff. Beds were comfy and we had more than enough pillows. Technically, the beach is across the street. But we had great views of the beach and the harbor, especially from the upper floors.
Pool view of ocean. Loud construction noise outside room starting at 730 am. Not worth $400/night to have to put up with that. No bar/lounge.
My room was more than satisfactory, boasting incredible water views from every angle of the large balcony. Inside the room, I felt surrounded by elegance from the crisp white linens on the large king sized bed to the high end furniture choices used to compliment the large kitchenette. The bathroom was luxurious and spacious, perfect for relaxation after a long day on the adjacent white sand beaches. The staff, particularly my wait staff at Shor; Aki and Nate, as well as my bartender, Krystin; made me feel right at home as if I had known them for a lifetime. With their pleasant welcome and eagerness to make my vacation as enjoyable as possible, it was easy to see why this resort is so highly rated. I will most definitely arrange for another stay soon to revisit this beautiful resort and its amazing staff and will be sure to recommend the Hyatt Regency in the future.
Beds were too firm Pillow were uncomfortable
A beautiful property. They totally botched construction. Extreme continual noise started at 5:45 a.m. 110 parking spaces for 200 rooms. Forced to park half mile away. No accommodations for inconvenience. Wasted a precious day of vacation.
free drink, great view from room parking costs extra ($12 /night) - only revealed at check-in
We stayed at the Holiday Inn for an overnight trip to Clearwater. The front desk staff, maintenance staff, and valet staff were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed the close proximity of the hotel to the public beach and places to eat. We had a water patch on our floor right outside the bathroom when we checked in. The maintenance staff brought up a fan to dry the floor and everything was fine after that.
We liked the service and the staff. They were cordial and accommodating. Not having onsite access to the beach was a bit of a let down. Having to walk a distance to the public beach was a deterrent during our stay, due to the rainy weather.
No maid service for 3 days. Contracted contact dermatitis and had to go to ER. Too many drunk people at pool for kids to be around.
Excellent pool and beach Bathrooms are on the small side
Very friendly and accomodating staff. Loved it.
Excellent service, clean rooms, friendly staff, use pool all night (that's a big plus), resort-like hotel Nothing bad at all. Book with confidence, I so would stay at this relaxing hotel. (I guarantee you you won't find a better one around.
We had an amazing stay at the Sheraton Sand Key. I was notified via text to check in early and request any preferences for our room. I was given an easy access room on a quiet floor and a ton of extra pillows, as I requested them because I am pregnant. The staff was super accommodating right from the beginning! The room we stayed in was updated, clean, and had a great shower. The resort is beautiful with the option of the pool and the beach available. My husband and I just pulled pool chairs out onto the sand past the volleyball courts and it was peaceful and quiet, and very relaxing! The beach is beautiful to swim, and walk along for sunsets. The food at the hotel is great too! A great place for families and couples alike, hard to find! i highly recommend!!!
We loved the ocean view and the rooms were nice despite the size. Everything was clean. As many others have said, the walk to the beach is a jaunt and the weekend we were visiting there had recently been a storm so the walkway was flooded with two plus feet of water. The beach itself was not altogether delightful- run down and dirty. We spent the weekend at the pool which felt very small and overcrowded. At the snack at we purchased a refillable cup only the find after drinking that there were ants in the soda line so our cup was full of dead and dying ants. Our purchase was not refunded.
Very comfortable, clean, excellent friendly and helpful staff We've stayed many places, and this was truly the best in terms of comfort, cleanliness, and staff service.
well placed for our beach holiday with plenty of sunbeds around pool area. Rustys restaurant very good. Upgraded to an ocean view which was great. Thought the Sunlongers/sunshades on the huge private beach should be complimentary to guests !
Friendly and very helpful staff. The pool was too crowded and some guests were allowed to place towels on the beds to keep them reserved and didnt show up the whole day at times. THis should not have been allowed by staff.
Nice beach front location Rooms were dated. We had a view of the roof and building across from that which wasn't part of our beach get away plans.
Enjoyed the location - Easy access to the beach, umbrellas and padded lounge chairs available for $25.00/day. We saw beautiful sea life (starfish, a baby octopus!, dolphins, pelicans, live shell dwellers) but no jellyfish and no sharks at all while we were there. Debbie, our Beach Concierge, brought us great sandwiches made upon order by the hotel chef for $10.00 each and she told us stories, answered all of our questions about the hotel and the area, helped us celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary -- She Was Wonderful! The hotel is clean and the staff was very accommodating. We had a wonderful experience. Our room had a partial view of the beach and it overlooked the tennis courts. It wasn't ideal but it was nice. Our room smelled a little musty and it was located near the laundry/vending/ice machines which were all very noisy and used frequently. There was about half an inch of space at the bottom of our door to the hallway so we heard all of the noises from the hallway very easily. The room was a typical hotel room but the bed was very comfortable. And it's nothing that the hotel can control but the municipal water there is very soft and it feels like you're still soapy even though you're clean so it takes some adjustment to get used to.
I liked the bed itself. It was good for sleeping. The front desk was a mess. 4 people working it, but still a line of 5 people. I asked for another night in my room and was told there was no way. I asked for a room with a good view and a balcony. I got a view. And a balcony. FACING A TREE AND THEIR MAIN ENTRANCE WITH THE PARKING LOT TO THE SIDE. How romantic....
The staff were very friendly. The hotel smelled like salt water, which, I realize is most likely due to its close proximity, however other places I've stayed did not have that issue. This place is solidly just ok. Not great, but not terrible. A younger, less pampered traveler probably would have been thrilled by the accommodations.
Loved the showers!! We stayed in fort Myers at a condo, then due to bad weather we decided to head to Clearwater. Best decision ever! Took the key west express for a couple days and came right back to shepards! We will definitely be back! The elevates were slow... Took forever to get on one depending on the time of day. We mostly used the stairs.
The new renovations and the friendly staff That the only way to park your car was through valet
Music was outstanding! The staff was extremely friendly! Beautiful view! Beach chairs should be free as a guest.
Really enjoyed the overall hotel. Beach is small but nice. Pool is very enjoyable. Lots of bars that included specials. Hotel room was very clean. Hotel made our stay easy and fun. We did find ants in our bathroom but didn't see it as a big deal, simply took care of it ourselves.
Location and amenities are great! Valet was also great and they were friendly and fast Being placed in the room directly above the club. I requested a higher floor to be away from the club and its noise until 3am
Several bars, a nightclub, and a stage with live music and a dance floor all in one resort. It also has a pool, hot tub, and a small private beach. Also walking distance to several restaurants and shops. I wish I could have stayed longer (not really a negative comment about the resort, just wish I had a lower vacation)
The rooms were very spacious and clean. The view from our balcony was if the beach and the club beneath us. The pool was very clean. On Sunday's they reserve it for hotel guests only......as far as the night club, they play a lot of techno but on Sundays they changed it up. Ohhh I almost forgot about the cheap drink specials. You cannot beat a 2 dollar drink. The resort was awesome all in all. You never need to leave the premises. But if you don't like loudness at night in your room from the music, ask to not stay on the same side as the club. Although there were no reserve seats at the pool. People did it.
I liked everything about this Hotel, the room, the cleanliness and the location. The icing on the cake was the live band on the deck, the club downstairs and the bar overlooking Clearwater beach. Now I know where to stay when I'm in Tampa. Nothing, everything was an A+
Staff was very friendly, the hotel and the area were quiet and comfortable. Easy to drive to, secluded. Good value for the money if you are a budget-minded traveler. Quite far from the main beach area, so not the place to be if you want to go to the beach all the time. Room was clean and well kept but the shower in the room was horrible - old, no pressure, and alternating between hot and cold water.
Beautiful marina views. Clean rooms. Quiet.
Nice staff. Very helpful. Good location. Horrible mildew smell. Made it difficult to sleep.
Hotel is close to the center of activities, once park do not need to use the car. On the water, the East side is very quite and welcome the sunshine if you like to keep the curtain open No personnel present after 19:00 Hr.
everything we weren't staying longer
The room was very clean always & the staff was as nice as can be. The Internet was prehistoric & the high dollar Internet wasn't much better.
Clean, good breakfast included, nice staff. Could get noisy outside but that is mainly because of the people that were saying there at the time.
The location was good. They served nice breakfast for all. They had a tray of ice ready to go in freezer didn't have to go hunt it down. There was plenty of space in the room. We enjoyed the pool There was one elevator which was not close to all the parking. Waited both times at the check in desk to check in and ask for more pillows.
Plenty of complimentary parking, no issue parking arriving late several nights. Check in was fantastic. There was a brief rush of individuals checking in at the same time, but the clerk was very professional courteous and very very expeditious. The room was very clean and up to date. The breakfast was very good. The checkout process was a breeze. Will stay here again in the future. Having to leave.
Prime location in Clearwater beach. Easy walk to restaurants and beach. Front desk clerk swore he only had two rooms left ... Both at $140+ ... When I mentioned that we'd found an economy room on Kayak, he said it wasn't possible. We booked through the site and then he suddenly saw that he had a room available. Could not get the water from the shower to come on, my partner went to the front desk to let them know and the morning clerk told him he would need to "wiggle and pull" the knob. If you are charging $100+ for a room, you should really fix the issues that you are already aware of.
Amazing very very large room. Nice pool. Had a (city view) that overlooked the pool all the other rooms anddd THE WHOLE OCEAN AND BEACH. I would literally wake up in my bed and just from where One of the 2 giant mirrors were placed I could see the whole beach and its main entrance palm trees and the Ocean while they set up the cabanas n chairs. Walk out side to smoke niceview of thr rooms overlooking the pool. There were families down at thr pool but even with my anxiety never over crowded. We got there 8 hrs before check in and they let us pay to park our car right then so we could go to the beach and out and about without charging for that day or any extra just for the 3 nights stayed 15/night doesnt charge on chexk in days or out days. Syagf was soo nice. Always was nice helpful remembered you and was able to take care of any need very easy. Anything needed (chich was rare) was brought within 5 min up to the room. From room to beach is about 45 sec walk. And every restaurant we went to was between 3 and 5 minutes walk. we literally only drove the car once off the beach to a grocery store. Room had brand new toaster microwave medium size fridge the room was exceptional very large very nice very clean I wish I could have stayed longer or just never left. The hotel MADE the trip. And there wasnt a single other hotel I saw that I thoifht man id rather stay here. Not even then $350 ones. I would have easily pais 250 for this room. But my 3 nights 4 days was only 370 with the additional 40 tax n app charge. So the room was Actually only 330. Best place not only for your money and on the beach in the middle of everything, but to better ur experience n wow your visitors and fb friends. :] I only wish you could (legally) lol drink at the pool. Big cup no questions same as beach.
I like the beach view and the price How my first room didn't work and then they switched us to a new room but it wasn't clean so then finally they gave us a bigger room and it was perfect.
The bathroom toilet from the room above our room dripped into our bathroom when you using the toilet. My wife was not happy.
Location and price Rooms are very outdated, rusty railings, old windows sitting out in hallways. Paper thin walls, could hear everything neighbors talked about.
Location only shower faucet leaking and 3 burned lights, I complained and they did not change. Poor breakfast, should never say they have it
Location was amazing, less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and practically right on the beach walk. There's plenty to do for people of all ages and the views are unbeatable. As for the room, the bed was comfortable as well as the pillows and sheet set. I was ripped off as soon as I walked in the door. First off, when I booked my room online I specifically searched for a deluxe room with a microwave which included a free parking pass. When I arrived at the lobby, the first thing I was told was that it was $15 for parking or else I would be towed. After I gave up trying to negotiate and paid for the pass, I was given my room key as well as mediocre directions to my room. When i walked through the door i saw a very small room that fit the description of a regular room and not the one that i paid extra for. The bathroom was disgusting and had horrific lighting and also included multiple insects inside of the tub. The ceiling looked as if it had endured extensive water damage which created a terrible odor. Overall it was an ok stay but let's just say I went elsewhere to shower and did not have the desire to stay more than a day.
Lobby and hallways had no airconditioning
Pool was nice it's surrounded by the motel jacuzzi was ok nice setup with the jacuzzi for handicap it has a lift The carpet in the room smelled like stinky feet. Bad stains on the sofa chair. Had to be very careful with the shower curtain the rod was just about to fall off the wall looks like it had been patched a few times already. And last the toilet was about as big around as a top hat if you are a man like me you know when you sit on one of these there is no place for your junk to hang. Just go there after driving 10 hours and you are really not going to care
Cheap clean room Nice pool No refrigerator Ice machines were down on floors 3 and 2 so had to go down to floor one for ice. Location makes it so you have to U turn on a business highway to get there. No breakfast accommodation
There were a couple of front desk staff members that were very nice. Within the first minute of walking in and checking in, a front desk man was speaking to me very degradingly and aggressively. He asked me when I booked the reservation, and I responded, "Today,". Immediately after my response he came back at me in a very degrading and aggressive tone saying, "WHEN, sir! When as in what time?!" My partner then immediately stepped in and just as aggressively had to tell him to calm down. Location was terrible as well. The location is way too noisy being located on a major highway which turns into a drag race strip every night apparently, and the landing airplanes flying very closely above the building sounded like Armageddon was coming. Will definitely not be staying here again.
Great the Staff was Excellent!!!!!!
It was close by to food! The room had a slight view of the pool with lights! The sheets were dirty, tape was still on the wall and there was also a t shirt sticker from someone else on the wall when we got there. The key never worked. If you leave the room you had to go to the desk maybe once or twice before the key actually worked. Tub was rusted.
Clean, attractive room, friendly staff, convenient location
The room we stayed in was quite nice, the bed was extremely comfortable. It was nice to have a work-out center available even though it wasn't high-tech it was nice to have. We actually went back when we extended our stay in Clearwater. Only thing is that there's not really breakfast- they've got hot coffee and some packaged muffins. It wasn't a problem as we don't usually partake in hotel complimentary breakfasts any way. Was good quality and good price.
Great rate. Fast, easy check-in. Clean and comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Internet was ok, if a bit slow. Fridge worked. 16 minute drive to TPA. Carpet was well worn. Cig burns in the chair. Cable channels limited and guide didn't work so slow channel surfing. The area has basic fast food, gas, CVS, etc all nearby, but it's shabby by Clearwater standards.
The staff was nice and friendly
Cheap. Convenient location Not up to typical Ramada standards. Hallway and room smells. Painted bathroom tiles and tub peeling and dirty. Neighboring fast food restaurants and airport very noisy in early morning. Easy to hear people in next rooms.
The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel is not new and is quite beat-up, which wouldn't be a problem if clean but it wasn't. The hot tub wasn't working.
The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Loved the mini fridge and little kitchenette area. Bathroom was spotless and shower pressure was amazing! Bed was very clean and comfortable. the hotel is a convenient distance to St. Pete Beach and Clearwater Beach. The first night I was there my friend left 40 bucks on a table. I forgot to grab it the next day before I left and when I returned that evening, my room had been serviced and the money was missing. I blame myself for not picking it up but it was disappointing to have it stolen by the staff. Right by the St. Pete airport and the airplane noise overhead was a little much in the mornings.
Bed was really comfortable. The Market was a bit pricey!!
We arrived and checked right in went to our nice very large room and was able to relax with plenty of towels for all of us. We just came from Disney World to spend a relaxing day at the beach and so I needed to do a load of laundry, there is only one washer and one dryer so it took a little while since the dryer takes a little long and I had to wait for some else to finish. I did only have cash and the desk was so helpful in being able to change it for a roll of quarters! The beds are comfy and bathroom is large. The breakfast was better then any other hotels we have been to and had a huge variety to choose from. It is about 30 mins from any beach and we had already choosen Fort Desoto cause we heard it was nice and not crowded and they were right! It was a nice day. There is only a couple of fast food places around like a Chick-fil-a but that worked for us and there is a couple shopping centers and Restaurants about 12 mins away. Check out was quick and easy! We will bs staying here next time we come for the price and the comfort this place offers! Only one washer and dryer but it was not the end of the world
Staff friendly and helpful. Price very competitive for area but if you are use to spending a little extra for a room at a Hampton Inn or Farfield Inn or better you will not enjoy these rooms. For the price , you cannot beat it for the value. Bedding old and stained, I was in non-smoking room but room and hallways smell like smoke. Shower small. No shampoo in rooms. No real breakfast served, just coffee and muffins.
Nice hotel, clean and comfortable with easy access to town and attractions. Did not like the lack of tables and chairs in the breakfast room, found on occasions standing with long wait. There was NO fresh fruit with poor arrangement of the breakfast machines that made the guests congregate while waiting for food being chosen. The waffle machine should be placed at the end of the food line allowing guests to move quickly. The WiFi was inconsistent and sometimes useless.
The pool was nice and quiet. breakfast was good and hot. The hotel was well off from all other hotels. You can't walk out the hotel and go the beach. You have to drive 20 minutes to get what's right in front of you
We enjoyed the breakfast and the Computer Internet Access
Pillows are too hard
rooms were cleanot free breakfast outdoor pool great customer service experience from front desk, maintenence and breakfast staff. great location to everything including beach. one of the night staff did not seem to love his job. older guy. our account brook and they fixed it by the time I came back from breakfast.
Breakfast. Room heater very noisy. No bathmat in tub. Very slick and unsafe. One elevator out of order. No sign.
Was a nice Hampton. Clean rooms, quiet, good value. A bit further from beach that had hoped for. Too close to airport.
VERY FRIENDLY STAFF and very informative on area and things to do. Also loved the breakfast! Wish pool area had more PRIVACY (like a privacy fence) since it was literally right next to road and parking area...
It was wonderful The maid opening my door at 1030 with an 11am check out. Thankfully the stop was engaged
The front desk staff was Amazing at customer service. I would definitely recommend this place.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and even allowed me to check in earlier than scheduled to get some sleep after my overnight flight. The room was good size and a great value for what I paid. The breakfast was good and the location was central to everywhere I wanted to go during my trip. I will certainly stay here again if I ever find myself in the area again. There was nothing that really bothered me during my stay. The hotel is next to a gentleman's club, but no issues arose from this during my stay. It is also close to an airport and while the planes are close and loud when coming in for landing, you could barely hear them when in the room and it did not keep me awake or wake me any during my stay.
This hotel was a very nice value. The small kitchenette was a great bonus. The room was comfortable and the staff was very nice. The location was convenient to the interstate, but it was a short drive to get to beaches. The room was clean and the bed was good. I will stay here again if in the area.
We were in town for a wedding. Our family and friends booked a total of 8 rooms and we were all pleased with the hotel and amenities. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. We needed to go toward the downtown area as well as to the beach and this hotel is situated about in the middle of both. Panera Bread is right next door and other restaurants and shopping are very close. We were in a non-smoking room next to a smoking room yet our room did not smell smokey. The hotel is not luxurious but is everything it advertises to be and is a real deal for the money. We would all definitely stay at the Homestead Studio Suites again.
Regular hotel room with kitchen area with limited utensils. $25/night pet fee up to max $75. This is a limited service hotel. No water cups, shampoo and two small bars of soap. and shower sprayed entire bathroom. Close to I275 and easy drive to Ft Desoto Paw Beach which was a lot of fun.
This is a very nice place to stay for the money. The rooms are roomy and clean and I like having a full kitchen when I travel. The staff was very nice.
We came to stay here for our friends honeymoon surprise. We put them up at another hotel, but we needed the kitchen to do what we had planned for there second night surprise. In all, the room was a bit musty, yet bearable. The kitchenette was cramped, but served its purpose. The bed was uncomfortable, and the bedspread being 'gold bee's' was a bit of a throw back with some noticable ciggarette burns in it. The size of the room was good, and the added couch made for more sitting room for visitors who came to see us. This hotel is great for the money and what you get in the price, although if your looking for something grand or spectacular, this may not be the room for you. If we ever need to come back to this area of town, we would stay here again.
The room was a good value for the price. Staff was VERY friendly. I was disappointed that although I received the non-smoking room I requested, the smoke from the smokers in adjoining 'non-smoking' rooms did filter in and make the room smell very stale. Beware that the non-smoking rooms aren't truly non-smoking. Otherwise, decent place to stay.
I stayed in this hotel while in Florida for a friends wedding. I was very happy with my stay. Close to everything quiet room was nice and staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay again!
I would like to start off with how wonderful the staff were. They were very helpful when it came to providing anything. Room was very clean. I felt it was out of the way enough but centrallly located for where we traveled and visited. Our next trip we'll definitely book here again.
People stay her for a long time. In other words,it can be likened to low-income housing. Our bed was terrible, bouncy. It selled smoky. Did not feel clean, right to the dirty walls and bedspread. Dirty carpet. They only have 1 hairdryer! The parking lot was dirty. The pool was a joke. Would not recommend. Nicer places for the money. I'd sleep in my car first.
While this is by no means a deluxe hotel, it is a tremendous value. The room was clean (although the rug could use a shampooing) and everything worked fine. I only used the fridge, but it had a fully stocked full kitchen, and they supplied soap, shampoo, coffee, and any toiletries you may have forgotten. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet- the shades keep the room nice and dark, which is not true in very many hotels. Very nice and helpful staff. The pool needs some upkeep- the lounge chairs all have seen better days, and it would help if the pool was heated. It is close to both the Tampa and St. Pete airports and all highways. There is a Panera next door, but if you want to go out for a sit down breakfast you have to go up the road a bit.
Great front office staff Would have liked an expanded breakfast menu as enjoyed at other La Quinta facilities.
The breakfast needs to have hot options besides just waffles
Cheap Our room had a weird smell to it. The only reason I rated it lower is because I stayed in a la Quinta inn the 3 nights before in Bonita springs and it was so much nicer and better kept. Cheap hotel and you get what you pay for.
The beds were very comfortable, non smoking hotel in and out. Nice pool and spa area, rooms were large and included microwaves and refrigerators. Three large mirrors made it easy for all three girls to get ready without tripping over each other. Staff was very helpful with recommending restaurants and attractions near by. The showers were hit or miss, some of us had the water go AWOL on us and constantly switch between hot and cold, guess it depends on how many other rooms are using their showers as well. There is currently construction on the road right out side so ask for a room facing the back of the hotel.
Good size room A/C compressor was noisy. No soap or shampoo for a shower in the morning. Front desk clerk didn't really seem to care about there being any issues with the room.
Clean and well maintained for a slightly older building. Plenty of food options close by and easy access to highways. Pillow-top mattresses were nice. Decent value for the area at spring break. Basic minimal continental breakfast options, except no pastries, and the staff got way behind on restocking during the late rush. Terrible weak coffee.
Proximity to clearwater and St. Petersburg. Staff was very nice and helpful. Building was terribly old. Could see light coming through room door from the hallway. Weird smell. Shower floor had a crack in it that squeaked. Bathroom was outdated.
Everything was just ok. The shower was not hot just warm.

It was close to where I needed to be. There were several holes in the wall that need to be filled in...not sure why they were there. This property could really use an update.
It was a great deal and this trip there was quiet. The wifi kept rebooting but there were power outages all day in the area so not their fault. No
Large room I'm a light smoker like a few a day in a non smoking room and they don't like it. Too bad I smoke just not inside!
It iOS a dive. Next to a strip club, loud. Room was clean but everything else was gross See above.
close to where i needed to be full of drugs police riding thru at all hours not recomended for famlies with children
Large room Dirty and a lot of parties in surrounding rooms
Nothing I booked a non-smoking room and called the hotel in advance that I would check in very late. After I got there-room smelled like smoke, ashtray cup, filled w/water in the room, cigarette butts in the thrash can...awful!And the night clerk came w/ some spray?
Price Unsavory characters hanging around. Toilet handle disconnected.
