The hotel looks like a fairy tale. It is stunning. And although a bit difficult to find, well worth it. The meals were superb, although genuine Japanese. No international food here. The rooms and views were amazing. And the onsen's were literally the icing on the cake.
The only two complaints I have are this . 1: The coffee is horrible and not cheap. If you are staying in an expensive place like this , you should be able to get a good cup of coffee. 2: I scheduled a 90 minute massage for 110,000yen (not cheap). For about 45 min of my massage a wedding was getting out and everyone was yelling and shouting. So not relaxing at all, eve the therapist was apologizing the entire time. When I went to the front desk, they simply said "sorry" I pushed and got a whole 10% off my massage. They knew i was displeased so gave me a box of apple cookies. I would have rather simply not had the massage. SO if you go and get a massage, make sure NOTHING is going on in the banquet rooms or you will not have a good massage.
The service and organisation is fantastic. The room and hotel were beautiful and well maintained sitting within nature. Very calm and peaceful place to rest.
Amazing service and attention to detail. Even cleaned the windscreen of the car in the morning! The design and setting is very calm and relaxing. Food is good too and breakfast is both filling and healthy. Rooms are spacious and clean and main onsen is 24 hours. Would definitely visit again.
Not much else to do around the area but if you are there for the weekend then spending the whole time relaxing in the hotel is definitely a good way to go. And if you like to read then there’s plenty of books around including a few in English scattered around the property.
The atmosphere in the hotel is very nice. The private dining was a unique experience and the menu was great.
This hotel was very nice and comfortable. If we have to give one point of feedback, we would have preferred the choice to have something else for breakfast.
Everything was amazing.
