No room service! Best thing is the vintage facade and location right off Michigan Ave
Service was lacking in total. Basic room service and maintenance would have changed everything. Gnats filled the bathroom!
Room and location great!
The rooms are larger than any other room I’ve stayed in in Chicago. Beautiful bathroom and perfect location.
Quaint hotel. Wonderful service
Very clean and accommodating. Would stay there again.
Simple, basic, hit-and-miss w/staff
large bathroom, lots of hot water, good water pressure, lots of towels (just me in a double), adequate counter space room was clean, quiet, comfortable bed, slept well :-) housekeeping did a terrific job staff was friendly and helpful basically it was hit and miss as there were some who just wanted you to go away and leave them alone!
dim lighting, could have been brighter or had more lights no complementary bottled water stain on carpet, wall patch work done in bathroom; neither of these bothered me but may for someone else staff was useless basically it was hit and miss as there were some who had a positive attitude and would go out of their way to help you!
The location was excellent! The property was clean and the lobby renovated and nice. The Windows opened which was great because the room got very hot at night. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were modern and recently renovated
The room was incredibly small; the building only has one heating system and my room remained hot, so I was unable to adjust the temperature, which made sleeping extremely uncomfortable; there are no tubs, only showers; I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to find a working ice machine; and the elevators are tiny and very slow. Also, the outer room door needs to be repainted
For the price, you could get more at a nice chain hotel.
All of the rooms are suites. There is a bar on property. Location is really convenient.
No early check in. Rooms are dated (especially bathrooms) and need updating. No coffee or breakfast options unless you want to buy something from the donut shop the lease lobby space to.
Elevator was an issue. Very small for the size hotel.
Terrible customer service
Can't say a thing.
I travel quite a bit every year and stay in dozens of hotels. I must say this was the worst experience at a hotel I have ever had. I would never suggest this place to anyone.
Reservation was cancelled 2 days prior to my trip
This is a Kayak review- not a hotel review. I booked my travel a week in advance and with 2 days notice I received a call that I no longer had a reservation and there was nothing that could be done. It left me scrambling to find a room and I had to pay 40% more than expected because I never really had a reservation. Will never use Kayak again.
Great location and value...staff was fantastic, reacted to every need we had with a positive attitude and were very timely.
nothing...we don't spend a lot of time in a hotel when we travel...met our needs perfectly
Great location just off the Magnificent Mile easy to get to just with everything you might need to downtown.
When was nice but needed a few small maintenance items repaired other than that it was a great place to stay.
Great location, but not a 4 star hotel in my opini
Great location with a nice hotel design. The drum bar and the bakery were nice perks.
Its an older building and that is very obvious. The AC is questionable, the elevators are small and take quite a while, and if you want normal pillows you need to request them.
