Pros: This B&B in an old dairy is like a beautiful boutique hotel. We had a family room, which was stylishly decorated, as is the whole dairy. The garden is enormous, with lots of comfortable seating. The pool area, very well used by my daughters, was perfect. Patti and Patrick were the perfect hosts, a delicious breakfast in the morning and they also supplied us with plates, cutlery etc for our picnic in the evening.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at this quaint and cosy chambre d’hôtes. A baby bed was installed in our room. The room on the ground floor is perfect for couples with baby as we could have a glass of wine in the court yard while our son was sleeping. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Central location with lots of restaurants nearby.

Pros: Beautiful old French traditional house with a perfect welcoming hostess. Excellent position for visiting La Rochelle with many restaurants nearby.... would be happy to stay again.... maybe for longer!
Cons: Entry could be easier and front door bell needs attention
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is a lovely old house very well looked after. The host is very nice and polite helped us a lot with her advice. Noting that the guests are limited to their room and the small lounge and patio.
Cons: The breakfast was ok but not worth the 13€ pp. There was bread, croissant, fruit and jam plus coffee. I had read reviews on booking about breakfast being amazing but having tried it it did not prove to be value for money.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole experience of staying there was excellent. The breakfast was fantastic and most of all the best part of staying there was the way the lady of the house made us feel so welcome. It very much felt like you were getting a personal first class service.
Cons: Cannot fault anything.
7.7 Good
Pros: The location is fantastic, 300 metres from Old Port and shopping streets. The owners, treat you like their best friends, the bedrooms are sublime, and the area tranquil.
Cons: Parking can be difficult.
7.3 Good
Pros: An excellent location to bars, restaurants, shops and Port. Within walking distance.
Cons: There was a cat in the guest house which was not previously mentioned... not good if you have allergies! I however did not mind this.

7.5 Good
Pros: Superb indoor an outdoor spa pools. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: Our “superior “ room was very small and the “garden view” was a tiny boxed in area with no view at all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The spa The helpful reception staff who allowed us to chevk out at 1pm and to use the spa on our checkout day for half price The excellent quiet air conditioning
Cons: Very small room The bar bistro did not start serving food until 7.30pm
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly helpful staff, spectacular sunset views from restaurant, fantastic spa facilities, extremely relaxing
Cons: The sofa seating in the restaurant was awful, fortunately only a few seats were like this, so managed to avoid after first meal. It managed to give me indigestion and a bad back! The lady who was sitting next to me also struggled. There isn’t really a proper bar, as it’s in between the bistro and the restaurant, it doesn’t feel comfortable sitting there and having a drink. In the height of the summer, their wouldn’t be an issue as you can sit outside. Service in the bistro was slow, I’d say it was understaffed. However these were small niggles, apart from that it was perfect
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Dinner expensive and only ok
Cons: The pool closed between one and two to allow staff to have lunch. At over 200 euros a night I would expect to be able to swim whenever I wanted. Haven’t they heard of a staff rota?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting with amazing sea views. Excellent service at the reception, we were made extremely welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are extremely clean and well decorated. The spa is wonderful , and this is the perfect place to unwind.
Cons: The service was excellent , as expected in a top hotel. Unfortunately, the food did not match , and the attention to detail was not there. This was disappointing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spa and location plus staff and food all great
Cons: The WiFi was not working
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to unwind, with Thalassothérapie Pool and Nuxe Spa treatments. Very helpful and professional staff. Pleasantly decorated comfortable room and bathroom, with some fairly high tech lighting. Gaya restaurant for fine dining and adjoining Bar for informal meals. Great breakfast with sea views, and wonderful outdoor spaces for enjoying warm weather.

Cons: There was no outside pool

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice character property in the middle of the old town near the marina. If there had been a nice restaurant the hotel could be rated a lot higher, they are doing their best but it could be excellent, we had a microwave snack but the property is crying out for a super restaurant. Breakfast was good.
Cons: the fact there was no restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Pros: Excellent service, with very helpful staff. Exceeded my expectation of a 2 star hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: + Harbour view + Room style very modern , practical and comfortable + Nice and spacious bathroom, great shower + Tasty breakfast (costs extra, but well worth it) + Double glazed double windows, very quiet when shut
Cons: - Secure parking for motorbikes limited
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Having stayed here before this time I opted for a room (number 6) with a fabulous view of the Vieux Port and the famous towers. The breakfast is superb - definitely worth the 10€ to have it delivered to your room, especially when you have a table and chairs that look out over the port !
Cons: Not the hotel's fault but there are major roadworks just outside which made it tricky to pull up into the parking space for checking in. Also there was a Marathon which then completely closed the road so getting the car in front for checking out was complicated (the Police Municipal allowed me to park at the end of the road for 5 minutes to collect our baggage. Not the hotel's fault although we could have been warned about these issues when booking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, Great Staff, Great Hotel rooms for the money this place is fantastic.
Cons: Wifi sketchy and you'll get fit with the stairs :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean rooms with great Juliet Balcony view (worth paying extra for port view!). Breakfast delivered to your room. Staff are absolutely lovely and speak good English!
Cons: WiFi was pretty poor.
7.9 Good
Pros: View was nice if you had a room that looked over the waterfront. Mine didn't. Lots of restaurants and opportunities to people watch.
Cons: Nice location. Plain vanilla room. Killer staircases and no elevators. Parking is not pleasant.

Pros: The owners and staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The location of the hotel is perfect, short stroll to a gorgeous sandy beach. Hotel and room was absolutely spotless. Lovely pool and seating area to enjoy drinks. Had a great day out on the hire bikes, coastal cycle path was lovely.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: excellent hosts very welcoming.
Cons: tea coffee in the room or lounge would make it perfect.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good and enjoyable. The location was what we expected and close to the promenade and restaurants. We were driving back to England from the Med area and wanted an overnight stop. Perfect!
Cons: Bed was not uncomfortable but did make us sweat a bit. Although it was early October and the air con had been turned off we had booked the room specifically because it had air con. We like a cool room so were disappointed it was not working. The host and his wife were very nice so this is not directly a criticism of them. They explained it was normal procedure to turn it over to heating rather than cooling as that's what most visitors want at this time of year.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this gem of a hotel, family run, clean, modern, great breakfast, comfy bed, nice pool, secure parking, cheap bike hire, just perfect in every way

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel within easy walking distance to central part of town. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Room was very small - with two small roller bags, we had some difficulty placing them in the room. There was also no light on one side of the bed and no shelf in the shower for shampoo and soap which were provided. Lastly, price for breakfast quoted in original booking “increased” which we were not informed of beforehand. We felt they should have honored the original price. (Even though it was only €2.50 more per person. )
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very warm welcome from Sylvie& an excellent breakfast with fresh juice, pastries, eggs, ham & cheese..
Cons: Difficult to find at first but that was due to satnav, road works& one way systems.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: I liked the intimate atmosphere and the location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very good value for money: clean modern rooms; just enough things to see you through (soap/shower gel/hairdryer); friendly staff and VERY comfortable beds. Breakfast was tasty and although it’s €10 it’s good value for money - quite a lot of choice (mostly bread/pastry based but still lots of other stuff too). On the Sunday there was a flea market in one of the nearby side streets leading up to the church which was great and very community-oriented; quite different to the more touristy stuff in the centre of town. Beach only a 5 minute walk away too!
Cons: No tea facilities in room (didn’t worry us but worth knowing for others); slight distance from town and not too many cafes/shops nearby. The one local shop was quite pricey. However it was a lovely quiet neighbourhood and we wouldn’t have spotted the flea market otherwise!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very nice with a good selection of food! Staff could speak English.Decore excellent
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly and everything was well thought out and spotlessly clean

Pros: We booked on the day as we travelled down the coast. The welcome was wonderful - so friendly and helpful. We managed to get a parking space right outside- free for as long as we wanted. The room was tidy, clean and spacious - We had number 1, the accessible room which meant we had a lovely large wet room too. The location cannot be faulted - 10 minutes to get into the heart of things and easy to find our way there and back! 10 out of 10 - what a brilliant find. Low cost but high score. Thank you so much!!
Cons: We couldn't fault this place at all

7.1 Good
Pros: The location and the vintage style of the hotel.

5.4 Okay
Pros: Location, ocean facing room
Cons: Beds. They were two singles pushed together and made into double. Very uncomfortable for a couple
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Big balcony, sea front location, excellent evening meal in the restaurant, good toiletries.
Cons: Too end of our price range!!
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location. The hotel was selected because it had a well regarded restaurant. A room upgrade to ocean view was chosen and our room directly fronted the sea.
Cons: The room was quite small and sparsely furnished. We were staying for 4 nights and were unable to unpack our suitcases because there was insufficient space, i.e. no cupboard drawers and only 1 small shelf. We were surprised that the restaurant menu offered the same limited choice for both lunch and dinner, On 1 day our room was not cleaned until late afternoon and on the same day the breakfast items were not refreshed in the breakfast room. Not up to 4* standard.

Pros: Location was very very good
Cons: Bathroom was a black hole. There wasnt a plug in the basin- very difficult when you need to shave. The young lady at reception was informed & we were told it would be sorted. It was not.She also seemed to delight in telling us that the Dining Room was fully booked for the evening & that the Bar would not open in the afternoon.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location,good staff.Clean hotel, & a nice room
Cons: Only fault for me,was the small &oddly shaped washing basin in the bathroom.

7.5 Good
Pros: Superb indoor an outdoor spa pools.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: There was no outside pool

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was of good quality, though there were difficulties in finding staff at times
Cons: We would have liked to have had a short swim but at 37€ for one session it was nonsense. Had they said that hotel guests could have a swim before (say) 09h00 that would have been perfect. Dinners were buffet style and unexciting

With a stay at Hôtel Victoria in Chatelaillon-Plage (Quartier du Casino), you'll be 4 minutes by foot from Beausejour. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location and the vintage style of the hotel.
Cons: The noise and the fact that the third floor was not yet refurbished. Apparently this will be the case in late 2019. Bath room was too small for 2 adults and 2 kids
7.9 Good
Pros: Adequate breakfast. Good location. Helpful staff.
Cons: Very basic room. Place felt a bit run down
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Got an upgraded newly refurbished room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hot chocolate for breakfast. We were given an upgrade to a really good-sized room; all faciities were good, especially soft white towels. The owners/managers were very friendly and helpful and obviously proud of the hotel and the town. Central position, not seafront, but close to the beach and restaurants.
Cons: Nothing. We knew it wasn't a seafront hotel. Having said that, it was interesting being close to the station.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed stopover, traditional style hotel. Good French breakfast and really nice hosts who took time to explain local restaurants, bars & access seafront. Would like be to go back to location/hotel but with more time
6.7 Good
Pros: Lovely location. Great breakfast.
Cons: Room dated but hotel being done up in stages. We had the older style rooms as we had not paid for a premium room. Maybe we should have been asked before booking - we could have chosen differently. The bathroom was v clean.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to the beach. We left at 4.0 am with no problem. Bit disappointed that we were charged for breakfast but we left before it was available.
