7.1 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: I booked a river view room and couldn’t use the balcony because of ice buildup
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was right in the middle of town. The balcony overlooked the street
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and beds were quite nice and comfortable. Lovely hotel.
Cons: Had a partial harbor view that faced the Main Street and it was somewhat loud with traffic throughout the night. My companions had a rlver facing room and it was quieter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. Quaint little town with so much beauty. Service was excellent. Full breakfast. We just loved it.
Cons: No, it fit our needs. We will definitely stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean, bed was comfortable, not a cookie cutter hotel.
Cons: The bedroom ceiling needed attention but it was not a big deal
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The Lord Camden Inn is a charming place to stay in the very picturesque town of Camden Maine. In retrospect we would have scheduled more time on our Fall Foliage trip for this area. The only down side is the bathroom is a little small but I would stay there in an instant given the chance again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean friendly location all a plus
Cons: The heating/air cond temp didnt work. It never turned off and was loud. We had a fireplace so used that for the heat
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice atmosphere, convenient location in midst of quaint village on a harbor.
Cons: Parking is a block away and you must pick up electronic tag to use each time you want to park.

9.4 Excellent
Pros: The 2015 renovation was beautifully done and brought the Whitehall to a much more modern and relevant place. Design is fun, slightly modern, and gorgeous yet doesn't detract from the historical building. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Was in a room with a shared bathroom which is fine, but the shower room (separate from the bathroom) was not marked and hard to find.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very nice, the breakfast was really good. It is close to downtown so you can walk or drive if you don't feel like walking.
7.9 Good
Pros: nice decors and breakfast very helpful staff!!!
Cons: a bit loud because of the street
6.0 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly, obliging and competent. The breakfast was very nice, imaginative and “homemade”.
Cons: We were dismayed to see how the makeover had robbed the inn of its historic character. The style of furnishings did not appeal to us at all. Canned music in the public rooms was an annoyance, and the pervasive “fragrance” in the bedroom likewise.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was interesting, small selection but good.
Cons: Needs a new brand of coffee. It tasted terrible. rooms are small , so furnishing was a bit too much, it felt a little crowded
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great property! Gwen and her husband were so welcoming and attentive to all guests. Breakfast was delightful- the blueberry scones were especially delicious! Decor was eclectic and fun. We would come back next time we’re in Camden!

Camden Riverhouse Hotel - Camden - Building
4
9.2 Excellent (409 reviews)
₹ 9,832+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Camden Riverhouse Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Camden, steps from Camden Public Library and within a 5-minute walk of Camden Harbor Park and Amphitheatre. Featured amenities include a computer station, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box at the front desk.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the best value for staying a night in Camden in my experience. The location is great, central, but just off the main road separated by the river. The smore's and fire were a nice touch. Being able to walk into the center of town in two minutes was nice.
Cons: The only negative - and it is minor as it did not impact our stay or ability to utilize the room - was the bathroom looked a bit worn and needed some work. They are in the process of renovating the lobby entrance, so I can see they are re-investing, which makes me hesitant to even say anything. I expect that they will be refreshing the rooms that need it as summer approaches.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and quiet with friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Close to downtown Camden
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We sure love that we can bring our two dogs and have a comfortable, clean and well equipped room to stay in. It’s nothing fancy, but who needs that?! The breakfasts are adequate. You can make yourself waffles and there are hot sausages, too. Cold hard boiled eggs made me happy, plus pastries, canned fruit and nice yogurts to choose from. Pretty good!
Cons: We had a group of young wrestlers (literally, they were on a team) right above our room. We put up with very loud noise and crazy banging for hours until about 8 pm when we decided to get to bed. We asked the make manager if he would tell them to be quiet. He said he couldn’t legally ask them to be quiet until it was 10 pm. Really? Out of courtesy? Common courtesy? So he told my husband we could call one of the neighboring rooms and ask the parents to get their kids quiet. The phone called worked, but we had to do that ourselves. That felt awkward to my husband. Oh well. But everything else was wonderful.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: there was no hot tub....just a minor disappointment
10.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was fine
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Helpful gal who found us the perfect room. Good pillows, CB was good. Very spacious, well appointed. Loved the loveseat area. Pool was nice. The location and the lighted bridge over the river were the bomb:)
Cons: Bed was hard, floor was freezing in the bathroom. Would have been great to have the hot tub running.

Cons: Old colonial style bed: Nice to look at, but bad to sleep in
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional
Cons: Stairway is for the young.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Pure luxury, beautifully appointed as well as an attentive staff. Bedding was fabulous ! Wonderful amenities, robes, slippers, snacks in fridge. Good wifi and TV. Staff very informative about places to eat and visit. At one point, 3 towns and our B&B lost power. They told us we could sit outside with a complimentary Prosecco and wait for it to come back in a short time, it did. When we left we were given a bag with waters and tissues for the ride.
Cons: Steps up to our floor very steep. Having a bad knee, it was a bit of work, but worth it! Bathroom sink pretty small, but fit the decor perfectly. Really, nothing not to like at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Heated bathroom floor. Spa Tub. Incredible Shower. Makes you feel like a king and queen
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location ion on the hill was fantastic, and the view of the Camden Harbor from our room was wonderful. Breakfast was amazing! There were wonderful custom touches of free drink at the bar, newspapers, movies, water, free snacks and drinks in the room. Excellent service. Natalie's was great.
Cons: Bathroom was dated. Natalie's Valentine 5 course meal wasn't explained when booking the reservation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great staff! Excellent customer service. Really comfortable beds. Relaxing atmosphere. Great food! Nice bathrooms!!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was great - small enough to feel like an authentic New England bed and breakfast but with the amenities and cleanliness of a modern hotel. They've essentially renovated a very old beautiful inn and filled it in with European appliances, modern design, bold colors and Scandinavian lighting. They also have a 5 star restaurant on site which is rare for an inn of that size. Best part by far was complimentary breakfast in Natalie's which was anything but continental. Lobster eggs hollandaise and a European style breakfast buffet made the cost worth every penny. Special touches included thoughtful notes from the staff, Belgian chocolates, a welcome aperitif and other complimentary flourishes that made us feel at home.
Cons: Everything skewed early, which might reflect the typical age of guests. Natalie's bar closed on the early side (before 1030pm) and the place felt empty after 9pm. Breakfast is strictly between 730-930am. The hotel is not huge so if you're looking for anonymity, this is not the place.

Pros: We've been very lucky to travel to many places around the world but if we had a Top Ten...this would definitely be close to number one!! It was sensational and so good I often think, I wish I could turn back time to the moment we checked in!!. Breakfast in the room, comfort and luxury of the room, fantastic staff, location.....can't pick out anything specific but all together a major WOW! Hope we can return some day....Sean & Vanessa
Cons: the snow melted
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This Inn gets a A ++++++. FABULOUS. Our room was large, clean, well appointed, comfortable, pretty and had a gorgeous bathroom. It is located in town which was great as we could walk to our destinations. Beautiful, cozy bar area and the breakfast was much more than I could have expected, complete with homemade quiche. Having all that said, the BEST part of our stay was the gracious staff. Not only were they super friendly and helpful, they truly made you feel comfortable and at "home". Topped off with the never ending plate of warm chocolate chip cookies in the fireplaced lobby. Additionally, it was pet friendly. As we were missing our pups at home, we took great delight in hearing the occassional "woof" in the lobby. The staff completely nailed it on hospitality and we can't wait to go back soon. THANK YOU ALL

7.1 Good
Pros: The location was perfect. The jacuzzi was a wonderful addition after a long hike. The bed very comfortable.
Cons: There was no exercise facility. The choice of breakfast was limited and the fruit tasted ‘old’. I did not like being told that there was a 11:00 deadline to leave rather than noon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 4 days and spent most of the time on the balcony overlooking the harbor. Camden is the headquarters for schooners. The main dock was just below the patio. We watched schooners come and go as well as the activity of a busy harbor. Loved it!
Cons: Great hotel, excellent breakfast, fabulous location. We are planning a return trip next year.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: There was no breakfast, but it was not a problem. An independent restaurant was attached to the property, where we had a nice evening meal for not a lot of money. Camden was a nice town, and we found an Alladin's cave of a second hand bookshop, stacked from floor to ceiling, and run by an absolute gentleman. The motel/inn was a straight drive 2 minutes up the hill from the town, set amongst trees. Very pleasant.
Cons: It was a pleasant, straightforward experience, no problems at all.

Cons: A mini fridge in room would have made it perfect!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds were lovely with wonderful gardens and lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the grounds. The inn was quite comfortable with great common areas to sit and a library of books, which we were encouraged to take with us if we found something we liked. Our room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent! Breakfast was very good! A full home-cooked meal that went beyond typical home cooking. We were celebrating our anniversary and Lisa couldn’t have been nicer! She congratulated us when we arrived and we found a nice card from the inn’s staff in our room. The inn is very close to downtown, walking distance, but far enough that it’s away from the hustle. We definitely plan to stay here again when we have the occasion to stay in Camden. It was a real treat!

9.7 Excellent
Pros: What a perfect getaway! I needed to get away but I didn't want to travel too far since I'd only be going by myself and wouldn't be gone too long. So I choose Camden and this inn was really quite perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and sooo comfortable. I was in Room 3, which had this great river view. Falling asleep to the sound of the water below was great, plus the mattress was just so comfortable! Definitely will be recommending this place.
Cons: This isn't a complaint, but more of a note: the shutters to one of the windows had a piece broken off and one of the other shutters had a couple pieces that needed to be closed manually. I could close them and it didn't bother me, but others might take note.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great, in town location; great view from the room
Cons: Less firm bed, warmer covers, fixing stain on walls in bathroom

Pros: Breakfast was absolutely delicious! The house is about a two minute drive away from downtown, about ten minutes walking, though we went in the winter (also important: very well heated). This is a great place to stay if you are competing the National Toboggan Championships.
Cons: I can't think of anything that I didn't like. If I had to find something to complain about it's that you can hear people downstairs in the morning, but honestly that's kind of good because you wake up in time for breakfast.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly hosts. Historical house Located on Main Street . Nicely decorated. comfortable room. Many outlets to recharge or connect our instruments. Highly recommended.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts, very friendly and welcoming, obviously take great pride in their business! Loved the little help yourself kitchen for tea , coffee etc. The breakfast was excellent, no buffet a sit down meal cooked fresh and served to you at your table, and delicious! We stayed in the "Dahlia" room was beautifully presented and comfortable, the bathroom was also lovely, fully equipped and very clean. Plenty of on site parking. A 10 -15 minute walk to the shops and restaurants, really lovely little town.
Cons: The only thing we could say that was a slight negative for us was the room was ground floor level at the front of the house and as a result suffered from a little road noise however the building is historic and has original single pane windows which is lovely to see :)

Pros: A beautiful house, very clean and tastefully arranged by Kim. Kim is a very nice and careful host and prepared a wonderful breakfast, every day something new: there was always juice (various types), coffee or tea, fruits, a plate with eggs and something added (bacon, potatoes, vegetables), toast and a sweet cake. We will come back to Camden and for sure stay with her.
Cons: Nothing to report

Her breakfast meals were delicious and she gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the Camden area. The entire experience could not have been better!

Pros: Magical place, excellent food and hospitality. Thank you Lisa and Ted!

Cons: Nothing! We loved it!

Cons: All good!

Pros: Very friendly hosts. Historical house Located on Main Street . Nicely decorated. comfortable room. Many outlets to recharge or connect our instruments. Highly recommended.
Cons: There was only one choice for a served breakfast . My preference for breakfast is different, I wish there was cheese , bread, vegetables, omelet, etc.

Pros: Charming B and B a short walk into town. Hosts are terrific. Breakfast was great. If you have trouble with stairs request a ground floor room. We had a great stay. Highly recommend. Good linens, very clean and pleasant patio.

Pros: It was our first trip to Camden. We love visiting Maine. My husband and I had a great time! Bob and Cat were so welcoming. They are extremely friendly, great to talk to and very helpful. We stayed in the garden suite which had a fireplace, flat screen TV, a jetted tub, a shower and a king bed. It was beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was very good. We really enjoyed relaxing , sitting by the fireplace, sipping hot chocolate and playing cribbage in our room. It was only a short walk to shops, restaurants and the water. We looking forward to returning.
