8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, really nice staff
Cons: Hotel was really great and nice staff. But it did not really have a 5 star qualify to it and felt that it may be a bit overpriced for that. Food at the place is also expensive
6.7 Good
Pros: Excellent spa treatments and very helpful staff.
Cons: Fire escape views rather than views of the Brecon Beacons and disappointing breakfast for a 5* hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is lovely and our dog friendly room was great. We had lunch when we arrived, dinner in the evening and breakfast in our room- the food was delicious. The staff are very attentive and friendly and our dog Stanley was well looked after. Thank you for a lovely weekend.
Cons: Nothing
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Room had a tiny window above head height, no view, felt like a cell. It was next door to an office and I could hear every word of the staff conversations. Not the luxury hotel I had hoped for and treated myself too. Very disappointing
6.0 Good
Pros: I loved everything except the room. It is a stunning property in a very attractive location. Tranquil. The food was lovely. I would definitely return but not to this room.
Cons: The room. We came home shattered. The combination of the generator or boiler going all day and so close to our window, and dripping noises all night, we barely slept the second night. The cleaners, though super and discreet, had a walkway across the roof which meant they could see in. That shocked us both and put an end to having the blinds open in the room. It was my second time staying here. The first time was absolutely wonderful.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the location is amazing. especially in the morning, the view of brecon beacons is just stunning. the house itself is full of characters and feels very cosy, especially after a long day of driving in the rains on wintry days! parking on site is available so very convenient for roadtrippers. members of staff are reasonably friendly.
Cons: first of all, nothing to dislike but some improvements needed. due to low water pressure, the shower was rather weak. it could be a challenge to have a shower when it’s cold. other than that, everything else was fine.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel that was full of character, we particularly loved the armchairs and open fire in the lounge. The DVD library was a lovely touch. The room was spotless. The locally sourced food in the restaurant at dinner was delicious and breakfast was also good. Staff were professional and efficient although not overly warm. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna but were not there long enough to test the other spa facilities.
Cons: The biggest negative was that the room was stifling hot and even after turning off the radiators and opening the windows we did not sleep well. One other small issue was that our kettle was broken and we had to report this twice before it got replaced. Also if homemade cookies on arrival are advertised, these should be provided. However I would still highly recommend!
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, the view of the Beacons was amazing, the food was delicious and the people were very friendly.
Cons: The bed was old and creaky but was still relatively comfortable

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We cannot fault our experience at Old Radnor Barn. Steven and Lynne were lovely hosts and made us and our children feel very welcome. The breakfasts were delicious and they were so accommodating with any request we put in. Lynne also noticed items we preferred and made little changes without being asked. The family room was an adequate size with plenty of wardrobe space. We were there on a few very hot days and they provided us with a fan in our room to help cool it down. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed having our breakfast outside on a couple of days. The kids explored the garden, creating a fairy garden and feeding the chickens, which was no bother at all to our hosts. The rooms, bathroom and lounge/dining area were spotlessly clean and there were leaflets on local activities/excursions in the hallway. The location was perfect as it was a 2 minute walk to the village centre where there are a few options for places to eat and a lovely stream where the kids could dip their feet. It was ideally located for visits to Brecon, Abergavenny and further afield. The kids are already asking when we can go back and visit Steven and Lynne, as if they were family that we popped in to see. Thankyou so much.
Cons: Nothing

7.0 Good
Pros: Staff member very who checked us in was very friendly and apologetic due to wrong bed type in room. Room was very comfy and warm, good location and parking close in near by co-op.
Cons: We were made to wait ages on our arrival, as staff member had double bed in the room, but we requested twin..Room was right by kitchen, so very noisy with staff back and fore late night and early morning, doors banging, shouting etc etc. Despite telling bar staff that table in smoking area was very wobbly and unsafe, nothing was done about it during our stay and several people nearly fell. Pros: Excellent value for money, fab location, very friendly hotel staff, definitely will go back. Already planning for return.
Cons: Only issue we could find, is the parking situation, having to park in local super Market (within 1min walk away) This could be an added cost at £2 for 2 hours, although no charge between the hours of 6pm-8am.

Pros: Really friendly staff, rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a great meal in the restaurant and the Nepalese menu was excellent. Breakfast was included and there was a fair choice.
Cons: Only improvement could be to have filter coffee at breakfast rather than instant, but overall great place to stay.
