Pros: Excellent value for money. Very spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast and staff. Overall very pleased would recommend the hotel and book again. Comparable to an average 4* hotel in terms of spaciousness and comfort. Assume that the period property layout, lack of parking, coffee / tea station / no minibar concept allows for this price point. If none of these are a turn-off (we didn’t mind) you will be pleasantly surprised at this bargain hotel.

Pros: We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this cute and comfortable hotel. Our Room had a beautiful view of the river. The delicious breakfast in a lovely dining room with festive decorations was the best one we had during our two week trip in Germany. The hotel was within walking distance of the train station and was not difficult to find using google maps.

Cons: The second room, while large in itself, had an extremely tiny shower and door and my adult daughter had to turn sideways to enter the shower. Once in, it was very very tight.

The rooms are perfect for a stay to see cute and historic Bamberg- plus it's only a short walk to the town center (9 minutes approx.). The people at the Reception were friendly and helpful and they made check in and out a breeze- we'll definitely be staying here if we are ever in Bamberg again! :)

Cons: Apparently you have to be careful parking your car anywhere in Bamberg, because they have a high rate of vandalism. We came out to find our car, parked across from a church on what we thought was a well-lit street, had the passenger's side mirror broken completely off. So, maybe we'll park in the lot that the hotel offers next time (it costs 12 Euros, but it would have been worth it to not have ended up with a broken mirror). Oh well- lesson learned for next time!

Pros: It’s a very good experience for here.We may sit by the window of the hotel and watch the river flow slowly.The quiet and long castle is not far away.Hotel facilities are very good, service is also good too.It's very convenient to park if you drive by yourself.Breakfast is perfect. Pros: The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms were well furnished and the breakfast was very well done and extra tasty. It was only a 15 minute walk to the old town area. There was a welcome packet for our son and special soap for the kids as well. There was an indoor play spot for the children that they loved.

Pros: It’s a very good experience for here.We may sit by the window of the hotel and watch the river flow slowly.The quiet and long castle is not far away.Hotel facilities are very good, service is also good too.It's very convenient to park if you drive by yourself.Breakfast is perfect. Pros: The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms were well furnished and the breakfast was very well done and extra tasty. It was only a 15 minute walk to the old town area. There was a welcome packet for our son and special soap for the kids as well. There was an indoor play spot for the children that they loved.
Cons: -The cleaning staff didn’t try and clean our room until 3:30 in the afternoon when we were back for the kids’ naps. -There was someone smoking outside our window one morning when we woke up. Just opened the curtains and got a total shock! We didn’t think the top floor balcony was accessible.

Cons: It is very noisy at night! Luckily the hotel provides ear plugs. At times it was difficult to get more than half an hour of sleep before being woken up by bin men, drunks, students, women chatting loudly in the street. At around 6am or so the bells are rung for a minute or so... Do people not know most people are sleeping?! We had to come back for a sleep during the day. Of course, this is not the fault of the hotel but be aware.

Cons: NO AIRCONDITIONING. I was a single traveler backpacking around the world. I would walk through town come back to my room and sweat for another hour. If you can handle a hotel without AC then by all means stay here it's very nice. The only other problem I had was that I had a shared shower. Getting a shower was not a problem. But once I saw the shower I was severely disappointed. The best way to describe this shower is if you walked into a broom closet and they had put a nozzle on the wall. Other than those two issues I had a great time at this hotel.

Cons: - The standard single room is small (well, okay for really 1 pax indeed) & hot in the room in Summer (no AC or fan). So not comfy. - Shower compartment is VERY small so I couldn't spread out my arms or body to soap... - Rooms are close to each other so I could hear almost everything going on around my neighbors. - Near the window, it's dusty.

The staff was competent, efficient and friendly. Checking in and out was very fast. The hotel is about a four minute walk from the train station, extremely convenient.

Cons: The restaurant/bar was never open while we were there. It would be nice to have a place for large groups to be able to gather rather than trying to fit in the hotel rooms. A coffee pot/water boiler would be very nice as well.

Cons: I’m the small double room, it might be a bit difficult for less agile or older people since there is no shower curtain and the water sprays out onto the floor when the shower is on. There is a step out of the shower down to the floor which can get slippery.

Cons: 1. Specifically asked for separate beds but got double bed 2. some of the rooms have shower and toilets with transparent glass wall, what on earth did the designer think about when did this? This is not appropriate for twin room!!! and even for double room 3. room wasn't cleaned all our stay there. 4. This is not my first time in this hotel but It will certainly not be my first choice in the future.

Pros: Booked a room for two nights online. I simply had to give a confirmation number to the receptionist at the front desk and she found my room in short order. She also spoke English, which I was very appreciative of what with my shaky German. The room was clean, with a 32 inch TV and a bathroom with a shower (no bathtub). Clean linens of course. There is a small shopping center attached to the hotel that is quite convenient. There is also a bowling alley. The neighborhood is nice, and seemed quite safe. Overall I was satisfied with my stay.

Used as a stop over base for one night on a motorcycle trip so can’t really rate the surroundings as we didn’t explore. One of the rooms was a double when we booked a twin, reception sorted the problem out straight away, and in a friendly manner despite the language barrier. Very impressive.
