10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well organized - beautiful gardens
Cons: Expensive meals
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, from the amazing breakfast to the SPA. The fact of having the train station that takes you to Machu Picchu in the premise of the hotel makes a huge difference.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location by the river is great. The facilities are great and in clean conditions. However, the attitude of some of the officers at front desk and the concierge need improvement. They seem polite for show rather than genuinely polite and try to accommodate us.
Cons: The price is rather steep for the location and the free entertainment offers. It would have been better if the price could be lowered and attract more people to stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was an amazing hotel in a wonderful location that is a must visit! We were celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday and were upgraded to a wonderful senior suite, where the staff had sent a card and cake. The food and breakfast buffet were varied and delicious. This hotel also caters very well for allergies, so there was a wide gluten free selection. All of the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the hotel hosted free events every day to keep you occupied (we loved the Pisco Sour lesson). We also tried the thermal spa and had a personalised experience, which we will never forget. The grounds are truly breathtaking! Thank you so much to Tambo Del Inka for a memorable experience that will stay with us forever!
Cons: We liked everything about the hotel but suffered with altitude sickness. It may be worth staying a couple of extra days to acclimatise before climbing Machu Picchu, if that is the purpose of your visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It succeeded my expectations in all terms! The hotels grounds and unbelievable, very nice rooms and the staff make you feel like youre in home Best place to stay in valle sagrado
Cons: The spa is a must!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, beautiful hotel and excellent location
Cons: The reservation staff and organizational capacity left a lot to be desired for. They messed up our reservation and booked two rooms under my nAme and one under my friends name and almost charged me for two rooms until I was able to prove with my saved email communication from Them that they were the one who messed up. They messed up my friends airport pickup and had to take a very average taxi for a two hour ride to the resort late at night. Not at all up to the standard you expect from a luxury Marriott resort.

Pros: Perfect Place to stay our first nights in Peru
Cons: Zero
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place. It has 3 stars but in reality it could be easily 4. Very clean, with a helpful staff and fantastic garden with gorgeous view for the mountains. And all of this located in the town itself but the feeling is like you would be in the middle of the nature. We missed a little bit a playground for our kid but at the end there is a big garden to play.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really beautiful, clean, comfy and cosy accommodation in the Sacred Valley. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we stepped through the front wooden doors, such a stunning delightful entrance and superb surrounding garden. Lizzy and her husband are the friendliest hosts I’ve ever encountered, every day asked if we slept well and needed anything. Full of information and guidance for each day. I really can’t recommend this beautiful piece of heaven especially after roaming around Machu Picchu and Ollantaytambo for the day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful! The staff and owners are the nicest people! Helpful and very caring. The property is gorgeous. We had a great time!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great shower plenty hot water Clean comfortable beds Close Distance to take the per Rail train
Cons: They should change the towels daily
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The peacefullness in the hotel and the hospitality from staff
Cons: The access to the hotel is not the easiest to find the first time unless you are from around town
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our first stop in Peru. Welcomed by friendly staff & cats. Relaxed atmosphere, beautiful garden, clean & comfortable room. 1+30 hrs. taxi ride from Cusco airport ($30), easy to walk to Urubamba town central(10-15 mins walk, Tuk-tuk PEN3/$1) very happy we stayed here to get acclimatized before Machu Pichu & Cusco. We took PeruRail from Urubamba stn(5mins. taxi $2 from hotel) to MP and returned to Ollantaytambo stn(30mins. taxi $15). Enjoyed a hike to Mara Salinera, just 3-4km walked along the back road in front of the hotel, a half day casual hike, if you have enough time, it's more enjoyable than visiting it as a part of tour.
Cons: Only one regrettable thing is that Wifi doesn't work in the guest room, had to go to the restaurant/lounge or out in the garden to get connected. Wifi speed is pretty good. Hope this issue will get solved soon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff there was wonderful. They make things so easy. From arranging transportation to arranging excursions to making sure you have a nice breakfast, they were always wonderful. Breakfast was freshly made and dinner was great too. Loved the setting and my son loved the trampoline.
Cons: It's hard to find issues and I don't think it's their fault, but there were some loud dogs around. Woke our baby up a few times.

Pros: Great location Excellent food Spacious rooms Friendly staff
Cons: Spa was not included in the price
7.9 Good
Pros: The actual hotel is beautiful, decorated in a a Peruvian lodge style, surrounded on all sides by mountains. The food (breakfast and dinner) were fantastic and the restaurant staff were very good!
Cons: The checkin experience left much to be wanted. We were greeted by staff who seemed completely disinterested in being there and just running through the paces. We stayed in one of the villas behind the main hotel. It was also not up to the standard we expected having stayed at the Inkaterra Casona in Cusco and other 5 star hotels on our journey through South America. The actual villa was average at best - the amenities were standard and the room quite dark, not to mention that we had lukewarm water for the whole stay. The staff assured us they had never experienced the problem before and tried to fix it multiple times. Needless to say, not what you expect when paying so much for 2 nights stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful place to stay... in a lovely quiet setting with panoramic views of the surrounding mountain. The room, the service, the amenities and the friendliness of the staff were all exceptional. We would love to come back!

Pros: Breakfast was a number 10, we enjoyed sampling all the various and interesting items offered, almost overwhelming! Location is excellent, not far off rt 28b, but far enough for a quiet more private location.
Cons: Could have provided more water gratis with the room. They did provide two small bottles free, but two other larger 1 liter bottles were 10 soles each, a heavy price considering we could buy 21/2 liter bottles at the Mercado for 3 soles each.

Hacienda Del Valle - Urubamba - Building

Located in Urubamba, Hacienda del Valle is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Cerro Pinculluna and Santuario del Senor de Torrechayoc. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: It had beautiful gardens and views! Especially for the price.
Cons: It is 1.5 km up a dirt road which made it somewhat complicated to get around. It also charged us $20 to get a taxi from Ollantaytambo- and we continued to use the same taxi driver who only charged us $10. Also, the first room we checked into that black mold in the bathroom.
6.3 Good
Pros: I loved the gardens and the facilities. The location is quite beautiful, yet a bit hard to get there. Very clean and lovely bungalows. Quite a retreat.
Cons: We had problems with the restaurant. The food was expensive, but the menu description was not accuarate. Ingredients were replaced with cheaper options. When asked to change the plate, they messed up the Ceviche. They used old, uneatable potatoes. The relation cost-quality of the food was way too high. (A badly executed fried fish at s/.47) The administration helped us at first, providing transport to the highway (which is unaccesible walking or expensive in taxi). They told us we would resolve the problem with the plates, but they ended up charging the plates to us anyway. We felt the damage control was inefficient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Great location for visits to salt mine, machu picchu (via train, 1 hr)
Cons: The drive up to the property from the main road is rough
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was a lovely spread with enough variety to suit all tastes. The property, while secluded, was a lovely, flowerfilled reprieve from the noise and traffic of most centres and was an ideal setting to recuperate after completing the Inca Trail. Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, the Cerveceria del Valle Sagrado and horse riding excursions are easily accessible: simply enjoy the 2 km walk through the village of Yanhuara to the busstop on the main road (5th Paradero) and hop the Combi for a few soles - no costly taxi required. Bonus feature of the property - two delightful resident alpacas! Excellent value in every respect.
Cons: Met or exceeded my expectations in every way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely gorgeous property. Super cheap and away from the street which makes it quiet and peaceful.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Staff was mostly very kind.
Cons: The shower randomly stopped working at some points. Someone started burning crops the day we decided to stay in the hotel, so our room was suddenly covered by smoke and we had to get out. Food was too expensive.
7.0 Good
Pros: the appartment, view, breakfast
Cons: localisation, very difficult to access
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful beyond any normal places including 5 star hotels. Inside and out it is just a matter of enjoying the moments of being and appreciating what others have done for guests.
Cons: Not being here sooner that last time three years ago and coffee in container to add hot water making as strong as one wants.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: There is a very beautiful and natural garden, and native adobe houses with all the comfort and artistic tasty; The vegetarian breakfast and food are excellent, we really hope to stay longer in this special hostel.
Cons: It is hidden at the end of a village way, which might be a little bit complicated to find it if you arrive after the sunset, but also just for this, you may call it a secret garden.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing stay, we enjoyed it every minute. De accomodation is relaxing en beautifull. We had a good nightsleep in the houses and a wonderfull breakfast!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very attentive and helpful. The location was superb in a quiet spot near a bubbling stream far from the noise of Urubamba. It is built with natural elements. Gorgeous grounds. The meals were healthy and vegetarian!! There is a yoga studio on site. The driver, Wilbur, was amazing. We arranged a full day Sacred Valley tour with him and it was great that we arranged pick up in Cusco (we elusive had a hard time finding the lodge).
Cons: The firewood for our chimney and stove was not seasoned well and this caused a lot of smoke. You don’t need it the blankets are warm enough.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Warmly received by the wonderful hosts! The location is out of town a bit so a long walk or moto- taxi ride. The grounds are beautiful and very tranquil. We had a wonderful comfortable king bed. love the little kitchen but we never used since we were only there one night. Highly recommend this place for a quiet, tranquil stay.
Cons: I'm not sure what type of showers they were (gas or electric... guessing electric) but we could not take a shower as it was impossible to get a safe temperature. Was either way too hot or way too cold... a bit frustrating as we had been hiking all day long and really needed showers! It was quite chilly as well but there was a nice little wood fireplace that we made use of which was nice. I would suggest putting directions for the use of fireplace or light the fires for the guests as some people aren't aware of dampers! My partner had never used a stove like that and smoked us out a bit because he wasn't aware of the damper door in the pipe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great tranquillity An oasis away from the tourist throngs Great value Excellent food Exceptionally welcoming staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super nice staff, so friendly and kind. The lodge is just gorgeous, next to the mountain, silence and nature. The food is AMAZING!

Pros: Best breakfast, healthy, fresh tasty food made with loving care. The gardens are so beautiful and relaxing, beds are delightfully comfortable and the staff are wonderful. I came back for a second stay!
Cons: It is a little out of town, but I loved the peace and quiet so worth the little effort

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway and Sacred Dreams Lodge was perfect. It is designed so that everywhere you look there is beauty in flowers and the sound of running water as well as the mountain views. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We are definitely planning a return trip.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow--this lodge is truly a special gem! This is one of those unique places that will stay in our memories forever. From the moment we booked our stay, German and the staff made us feel incredibly well accommodated. German arranged transport for us from the Cusco airport with an included tour of some sites like Chinchero and Moray on the way to the lodge. He also helped us arrange drivers and excursions for each day of our visit, making everything seamless and easy for us. The property itself is breathtaking, with a forested setting, river, and meticulously maintained flowerbeds that make the area feel like an oasis. The architecture of the lodge is fascinating, built with site-made adobe bricks using traditional methods. Don't miss the photo albums in the lounge that show the construction process! We stayed in the suite that included a fireplace and an outdoor hot tub and the room was blissful. Very comfortable bed, nice toiletries, and a mini fridge stocked with water, soda, and beer. Whenever we wanted the hot tub filled or a fire started, we were able to easily contact German via WhatsApp and he would quickly send a staff member to the room to help us. In the restaurant, Violeta took wonderful care of us for the buffet breakfast and a la carte dinner every day. The food was great (perhaps not a gourmet experience, but still delicious and more than worth the close proximity) and we have fond memories of drinking coca tea and pisco sours by the fire in the lounge. Overall, the Sacred Dreams Lodge had the best of hospitality: we simultaneously felt like we were staying in a relaxed friend's home yet we also always felt pampered and looked after. We stayed at a much more expensive luxury resort near Machu Picchu later in our trip and we couldn't help but feel that our experience at the Sacred Dreams Lodge surpassed the luxury resort. We can't recommend this wonderful lodge enough!
Cons: Everything was perfect! The only thing we can think to add would be access to hot tea and coffee in the room. We would have loved to lounge in bed a bit longer each morning but we made ourselves get up to head to the restaurant since we always need our coffee fix first thing. Not a big sacrifice since the restaurant was also a lovely space to relax!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's so relaxing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing! They proactively helped with everything you could think of. We talked over WhatsApp the majority of our stay. Our room had an outdoor hottub which was nice to relax in at end of the night. The eggs were super fluffy!! Stay here!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sacred Dreams Lodge was AMAZING! The beautiful rooms are only out done by the setting. Our group of 8 people reserved 4 rooms and all of them were lovely. The lodge is situated in a small wooded canyon. A river runs through the property. German was there waiting for us to check in. He helped us with transportation and tours. We had to leave before breakfast so he made sure we had boxed snacks to take with us. He went above and beyond for our group. The night of our stay it was very cold and the staff made sure we had space heaters and hot water bottles.
Cons: People from our group were interested in using the hot tub but it was an extra charge.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: nicely decorated rooms, very helpful staff, a perfect place for relaxation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: SO BEAUTIFUL. Quiet & serene. The land, the lodges and the staff are all 5 stars.
Cons: We loved everything.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Sacred Dreams is a beautiful oasis in the Sacred Valley. It was lovely to walk around the garden and enjoy the gorgeous flowers and watching the hummingbirds fly from one plant to the next. The buildings are beautiful and meticulously cared for. Germain and his staff were extremely attentive and took care of all our needs including booking taxis for us. They even had breakfasts bags prepared for us when we had to leave the resort for a 4 AM tour. We ate our evening meals in the restaurant and they were all delicious. As with many of our stays, I wish there were more vegetarian options on the menu. I was following advice to only eat cooked vegetables in Peru, so it really limited my dining choices in many places. Our room was super clean, comfortable and we relished the hot tub and room fireplace on the chilly evenings in the Sacred Valley. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are in Urubamba.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Just overall great. Very friendly, good breakfast, fantastic location. Staff clearly cared about our experience overall, were helpful with recommendations and transportation, and more. Great location right in the center of town, nice relaxing sitting areas throughout, etc. We had a funny experience in which the entire town lost power all day (obviously nothing the hotel could do) but was handled as well as possible. Getting the room with the view of the archaeological site was worth it.
Cons: We had two rooms - one upstairs and one downstairs, We found the upstairs room preferable - the downstairs room had a somewhat more dated bathroom. But I'm having to stretch to find anything, frankly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is friendly and accommodating! Arranged drivers, offered local information such as location of an interesting cemetery. Were able to leave our luggage there while visiting Machu Picchu. Nice common areas to sit and read. Beautiful gardens.
Cons: Nothing. Maybe brighter light in room but that was no big deal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and perfect location near the main square of Ollantaytambo, convenient to everywhere you might need or want to go in town. Our king room was huge and very comfortable (if you can get one, I recommend it) with a big balcony overlooking the river and gardens and superb views of the ruins. The hotel has several comfortable, plant-filled indoor areas for lounging if the weather is bad. The staff really shone, too; they were incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful, and arranged everything we needed (laundry, taxis, luggage storage, tour options, even courier service) with aplomb. A really, really good option.
Cons: I have no complaints about Sol Ollantay - everything just works. This place gets it right across the board.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I am from the US and traveling with my adopted Peruvian family. It was important to me while visiting this beautiful country to have nice accommodations. Hotel Sol Natura exceeded my expectations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was in a great location, very close to the main plaza, also close to restaurants and stores. Our accommodations exceeded our expectations, very comfortable bedding and also the view from our room was great. The staff was professional and courteous and very accommodating . We would highly recommend this establishment and would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Cannot think of any negatives.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: 5 minutes from train station to machu pichu.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is very good. I booked the room with site view, so that I was able to enjoy Ollantaytambo site from the room from dawn to mid night. Also very closed to the center of the town. I think it is the best base town to visit Matu Pichu. The restaurants in the town are less expensive (the price is around a half of Cuzco) and delicious.
Cons: Nothing special.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room, giant bed and amazing view! Location was fantastic and good breakfast.
Cons: Shower pressure was below average and sink didn't drain, also bathroom wasn't cleaned at all during our stay.
6.3 Good
Pros: Decent hotel, big room, clean but nothing special. Average breakfast
Cons: Keep in mind the hotel it’s next to the river. It’s very loud.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, very friendly staff, beautiful gardens, perfect location above the plaza close to the foothills and close to town. Good views of the valley.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of water pressure+hot water, beautiful gardens, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable beds.
Cons: Two times we asked for a price-qoute on a taxi service. Both qoutes were unreasonably expensive. When leaving for Pachar (small village near Ollantaytambo) we got a qoute of 45 soles. I had previously asked a taxi driver in Urubamba how much it should be - maximum 20 soles he replied. We found a taxi ourselves, which was very easy, and paid 20 soles. Either they use the most expensive taxi service in Urubamba or take a comission for making the call. Either way it's ridiculous! We have stayed in other hotels in the Sacred Valley, but we have never experinced over-prices like that in any other places. Calling a taxi on behalf of tourists is a fairly basic service that should always be free. At least in a hotel where you have already paid a decent amount for the accomodation itself. Another minor thing. One evening we had dinner in the on-site restaurant. We had ordered three soups which we were told would be ready in 20 minuted. After approximately 40 minutes two soups arrived. The last one never came, and when we went and asked the kitchenstaff they looked at the order-note and realized they had forgotten something. Not a big deal, those things happen - I have worked in a kitchen myself. I do however feel an apology would have been appropriate.

Pros: Staff was very helpful, consulted for excursions and arranged most economical taxi services. The breakfast was great, eggs cooked to order plus fresh juices. The gardens are lovely and location convenient for nice evening walk!
Cons: Rooms were cold, unseasonably cold for this time of year but heater provided helped. No hot water was an issue. Property is working on a solution to this issue and the owner made every effort to ensure our comfort by offering her bathroom!

Pros: Great gardens and staff, thank you
Cons: It was difficult to find, bad road and road works
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Where to start - Firstly I am in a wheelchair and it was a proper wheelchair accessible property and room and BATHROOM. Correct ramps and correct bathroom. Staff were efficient friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good and room very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay. The grounds are beautiful colourful flowerbeds and the mountains in the background. 10 out of 10.
Cons: Everything was excellent no complaints at all
7.1 Good
Pros: Gardens and courtyard are pretty. Friendly staff. On site restaurant is good. Shower has big rain head with plenty of water pressure. Close to PeruRail station.
Cons: Beds are very hard. Wi-Fi only in lobby and slow due to too many people online. Sewer gas smell in room remedied with towel over vent. Location is an oasis surrounded by poverty. No where to walk or eat near property.
7.5 Good
Pros: We came for the bath tub and the beautiful gardens and we enjoyed those very much. We had two big comfortable beds.
Cons: We knew there wouldn't be Wi-Fi in the rooms but the connection in the lobby was also shaky and had to be restarted every time to connect. The restaurant menu was medium but the price wasn't.. also the cocktails were very expensive and for that they put water in it.. The bread for toast at breakfast was so OLD. In my opinion you cannot put that on the table..
6.7 Good
Cons: They advertise HAPPY HOUR but there was no one to attend the bar. Hence NO Happy Hour. I was told to go to the restaurant for a drink. I did and instead of the special rate of two for one, I was charged $8 for each of my glasses of wine. NO BARGAIN there!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Everything was great. Attitude, service, promptness etc. Oh, and kindness. Internet needs boosting

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The gardens were amazing, food was great and the pisco sour were tasty
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful facility, elegant furnishings and lovely grounds. The linens, pillows, and shower were really good. Historical feel was maintained and updated to modern comfort level. Fresh flowers were everywhere. Flor, the breakfast manager was especially outstanding.
Cons: The location is out of the way but well worth it. The road into the property is not in good condition and the lighting there is just barely sufficient. However, these things added to the charm of the place.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place. Amazing gardens and historic architecture. Staff were fantastic. They noticed it was my birthday and made us a complimentary birthday cake, complete with koala icing on top!!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very peaceful place.
Cons: Limited internet access from the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, safe, clean, and quiet. Windows open to lovely, well-kept gardens. Helpful staff. Cost more than many places that were also available, but it was worth the small extra to enjoy this piece of Peruvian history.
Cons: My friend needed help with altitude sickness, and their oxygen tank was empty. They could not get it refilled during our two night stay.
6.0 Good
Pros: The place and the surroundings are very beautiful
Cons: Breakfast could be better.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice historic ensemble, gently remodeled. A quite oasis in Valle Sagrado. Good restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful place to stay! We loved the unique accommodations and setting. The food was amazing. It was a gem in our trip! Very peaceful!
Cons: The staff did not speak very good English so at times we had trouble communicating. The restaurant should open the doors for outdoor seating to take in that beautiful area!
5.8 Okay
Pros: La recoleta is an amazing place full of charme and well restructured. Our room was big and my bed was fantastic .
Cons: Staff does not speaks English (!!!) and doesn’t even try to help . if you need to book a car for instance ... no way they can manage . If you need any kind of local info (like if there is a deposit at train station- where btw there are more than 3) no way to have a support . Really a shame .

7.5 Good
Pros: It had beautiful gardens and views!
