Friendly staff, very accommodating and spoke good English. Small place but very clean. Breakfast was simple but good.
The mattresses were pretty thin. It didn't bother me much and I had no trouble fallig asleep, but my friend wasn't as lucky as he mentioned that the one he slept on has a big dent in the middle, probably due to either the size/weight of the previous guest or due to repeated use, and he could feel the hard wood beneath.
The beds were comfortable, and there was everything we needed at the hostel for example shampoo, hair dryer, lockers etc. The hostel has a kind of a traditional Japanese flair especially in the hostel lounge where we Could relax a little bit. As there was a typhoon coming to Tokyo, the staff kept us informed and helped us if we had any questions. In general, the staff was super friendly and we had a great time there! (even during the Typhoon) There were also board games, a TV and Playstation, so if you have some free time you can also spend it in the lounge. They were also offering free coffee and Japanese green tea which was also very good.
It was very noisy as you could hear everything that was going on in front of our room. Some girls couldn't be quiet at 6 am in the morning, which made sleeping a little bit hard.
The lady took my money for me when I checked in and I severely overpaid and when I realized they claimed I didn't. Don't let them count your money. It was my first day and I was jet lagged so unfortunately I let her take the lead too much in my haze. Was just using yen for the first time as well. Place was clean but overall didn't enjoy my stay.
