The rooms were immaculate and spacious. The layout of the room and bathroom were ingenious (and I don’t say that lightly). The space was planned so it was efficiently and made it so easy to use. The location was spot on for restaurants and shopping. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I do travel extensively and have been to MANY hotels and this is by far my favorite!!!

Pros: The room was really nice! It was in a great location. Staff was friendly.
Cons: The information regarding parking could've been better. I assumed we had the option to either self-park (through the hotel) or valet not realizing the hotel doesn't have a parking garage to self park so when I left at night I had to pay $18 through the city on top of the $70 overnight parking to then park with valet through the hotel. The pool was packed when we went to go swimming in the morning and the staff just walked around completely ignoring us instead of trying to help us find somewhere to sit. They had signs set up on tables saying the area was reserved for 10 am yet no one was even sitting there at 1130 am. Bad customer service when that's what their job is there to do. I called ahead to make sure my reservation was okay because the card I originally booked it under was cancelled. The lady I spoke with confirmed my reservation and confirmed with me that everything was good to go. I showed up to check in and the front desk lady then told me my reservation was cancelled?? Extremely frustrating after driving 8 hours to Sacramento and just wanting to get into the room and relax. Fortunately, they were able to rebook the reservation but it was just frustrating to have to do so.

Cons: A little more upkeep and cleanliness (especially for a suite). Need better coordination with in-room spa services. Our service never arrived after attempting to book three times prior to our stay (and finally calling and confirming with them the day before our stay). Nonetheless, they never arrived and we were charged for our services anyway. I had to chase down the service for a refund - at first they claimed that we were not in our room, finally admitting that they failed to properly coordinate with the hotel and nobody ever arrived. We received a refund, but it was not worth the trouble. The staff is very friendly - especially the tall kid that checked us in... but there can be a bit more attention given to detail, i.e. cleaning condensation stains on ceilings and walls of rooms, stocking more water and replacing bent/crumpled room service menus with new ones... high-end prices for mediocre ambiance, but I'm sure with some hard work - the place can become world class.

Cons: Room was GROSS. The smell of other people was prominent upon walking in... That should have tipped me off, but I decided to stay. Unfortunately for me, and my severe dust mite allergy, I did not sleep for more than an hour as I scratched all night and woke up with severe allergies and itching due to the musty linens. It's not that they didn't wash the linens, but they were obviously quite old. The shower curtain was ragged and had black mold spots on it. The comforter was a sort of grey white and had several brown stains. The staff did not seem to care when I mentioned this in the morning. We decided not to stay another night and instead went to the Westin in Land Park and enjoyed that much more.

Cons: Our first room had blood on the walls. We then moved rooms only to be placed in a room that wasn't cleaned. When we were moved again our room was still dirty but by then we had missed our original plans we had made. We stayed in the third room. The only thing the hotel did was remove a parking charge (which feels like something that should be free for guests anyway). Upon checking out a staff person made a very inappropriate drug related joke to my partner that made us both uncomfortable. When trying to order food from the bar I enquired about the cooking oil as I have food allergies and the staff said she didn't know and refused to find out what was used. I felt very uncomfortable, unsafe and dirty the entire trip. Definitely will not be staying at the Hyatt again.

Pros: It's a very nice hotel, but I got a suite so my friend and I would have privacy from each other. I told him that I'd take the couch... which was not possible, because the couch was barely bigger than a lazy boy recliner and the only way I could sleep on their couch was if I slept in the fetal position... which wasn't possible. They said all their couches except the one in the handicap accessible room were small like that. Luckily they had one of those rooms left, but it wasn't a suite, so we had no privacy from each other. Also, in the "suite" the "living room" part was only about 7' x7' wide, so it would be challenging to even sleep on the floor in there it's so small. AND THE DOORS ARE MADE OF GLASS.... so once again, don't get the suite for privacy or extra sleeping space. The ONLY thing I can see the suite being good for is if someone likes to watch TV late and doesn't want to wake the person sleeping... otherwise the suites are pointless. Overall the hotel is very nice, nice decor, friendly staff, awesome location, and walking distance to most anything in downtown. We took a Lyft to the Kings game, but walked back. I'd stay here again, but not if I was with my buddy who I didn't want to share a bed with. The provided ear plugs so we didn't have to listen to each other's snoring.

We took a lyft to the Kings game which is way cheaper/easier than paying for parking and losing out space in the garage. Because if you get a parking space at the hotel, if you drive somewhere, your space is not guaranteed when you return.

The receptionist I dealt with the first time said it was because I had it near electronics, but it happened a second time and I was keeping it away from electronics. I was there for three nights and this happened twice.

Pros: This hotel was easy to find, secure (doors are locked between 10 pm and 8 am), and the front desk staff professional. Common areas and the room were very clean and well appointed. We did not shower so I can't comment on that. Breakfast options were minimal, but we were able to put together a southwestern breakfast sandwich with the offerings. It's location near the freeway entrance made it easy to get back on the road to Tahoe. Would stay here again, but will book directly through Marriott.
Cons: We had a scare upon check-in because our confirmation number did not match so it appeared we did not have a reservation. Also, for some reason my first and last names were switched so searching for the reservation under my last name didn't work. The clerk was able to find the reservation under my first name and confirmed that the confirmation number was not a Marriott confirmation number. Appreciated the clerk's diligence. But in the future will not book hotels through a third-party site.

At breakfast, the sliced melons were old, you could taste that they had gone bad, and the food wasn't that fresh. They ran out of milk and I finally found a staff person to ask for more. She seemed to be only one and was so busy refilling everything else that needed to be filled, it took 10 minutes to get milk. On a business trip, you don't want to sit there waiting for 10 minutes to eat your buffet breakfast. Felt disappointed.

Pros: Wonderful room downtown with a great view. The restaurant that is attached is wonderful, and there are several others within walking distance. It is right across the street from the beautiful Capitol Park, and there is plenty to do in the area. It is even walking distance from Old Sacramento which is a great place to spend a day shopping and enjoying the old buildings and trains. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room cleaner in particular was especially helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The breakfast is standard, nothing too special, but it has a lot of choices.

Pros: Stayed overnight for a girls weekend. I was given a complimentary upgrade upon arrival and I was very pleased with my room as well as its amenities. Beautiful Chinese soaking tub and every toiletry you can think of. Linens were excellent quality and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to enjoy the restaurant as well for breakfast and the menu and drinks were to die for! I had a very hard time deciding what have. Fresh squeezed OJ mimosas and bloody Mary's were amazing. I can't wait to have a romantic overnight with the hubby very soon!

Pros: Made a reservation for 2 guest in a queen size room. Got there and checked in @7pm and was notified that I was upgraded to a king size room, big plus on their part! The room was cozy and comforting. It also includes a beautiful bar setup along with a wonderful street view.
Cons: To be completely honest, the one thing I did not like was the shower. The rest of the room was was decorated and painted in its own style including the bathroom. But once you open the shower curtain all you see is plain, boring, tile. Both room and bathroom give off some bomb vibes, except the tile. Just kills the ambient. Other than my pity first world problem place was outstanding.

Pros: The helpful, friendly staff made our stay especially pleasant. We enjoyed a nicely decorated, comfortable junior suite. The hotel is a beautifully restored architectural gem. The covered roof deck was a great wedding venue, with a spectacular view of the capital dome and skyline. The wedding reception food was delicious and served hot. Sunday brunch in the hotel's restaurant was uncommonly good, with a very fresh take on classic dishes and friendly and efficient service. We look forward to visiting this fine hotel again.

Cons: The only staff member that " couldn't see" the LARGE ( 3 feet in length ) wine or blood or whatever stain was on my curtains in my original room. Aside from actually completing the transaction of switching my room she was not helpful. My new room keys that she gave me were only 1 out of 2 working. She didn't offer a bell cart, I had to ask. The next morning upon leaving at 5:30 and asking them to check the original room for left behind belongings- she told me " you can go check yourself I'll make you another key". AND she never alerted housekeeping for follow up with the issue. I felt like I had to do all the work for a 4 star boutique hotel in mid town. The only reason I was so displeased with that interaction was that everyone else was outstanding.

Cons: We went to a concert that night and arrived back at the hotel at 11 p..m. The restaraunt was closed, and there is no room service avaiilable after this time. The restaurants nearby become nightclubs at this hour, and there are lines to get in. We also could not access our car because valet closes. I also felt that there now needs to be a few fixes or upgrades done. Our room was clean but there was no bathroom lock it was broken...paint touch ups need to be done, and the TV remotes replaced with easier ones to use. This hotel is best for business travelors, event guests (wedding) where they don't need to leave the hotel.

Close to a 7 eleven if you need a quick snack and self parking was across the street but easy to get to. A lot of homeless in the area but there is nothing the hotel can do about that. Just be cautious when walking at night.

The two of three times I went to the front desk, to check in and to check out, no one was there and the front office was locked. I had to call them and wait for someone to come. Also, the 3rd time I visited the front desk was because they didn’t restock the bath towels in my room. I called them and instead of having towels delivered, they made me come to the front office to pick them up... Anyway, besides the great location, the property didn’t seem better than comparable options downtown. If anything, I feel the price is higher so they attract less people to adjust for their low staffing.
