The location was great. A courtyard style hotel. Walkable to beach, resturant row, and all the Romantic Zone has to offer. The resturant on the upper level was limited in menu but quite good with all the menu items we had. Good happy hour pricing from 1-7. Pros (+) Room 116 which is way in back in north east section. My 3rd and probably last stay there. Reservation said room with balcony and river view. When i got there they said no river view rooms available and they said the same thing the next few days. Bed was hard and not level, kind of a humpback. Cons (-) Did not get free cancellation! Still had to pay. I will be fighting with my credit card. Even outside of three days. They still refused to cancel for free.

Pros (+) Front desk staff was friendly and hotel is easy access to boardwalk.
Cons (-) Room was in poor condition. Stains on bedding, mattress hard and uncomfortable, and had to stand on a chair to reach the A/C unit. Booked another hotel and checked out within an hour. Encino refused to give a refund.

Pros (+) Roof top pool often empty ( while I was there ) Roof top restaurant awesome food and cheap Maid were friendly Gilberto - one of the front desk employee Who is very friendly and alway smiling and goes beyond to help you if you need anything.
Cons (-) Roof top restaurant only open at 4pm and closed Mondays. It was cheap and good food. Wish they were open earlier Did not sell or provide ice Bedsheets and towels often stained-
