Pros: Loved the location and charm Hotel Employee were really helpful in planning our days spent in RI.
Jacob Hill Inn puts you within a 15-minute drive of Brown University and Kennedy Plaza. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool, and hiking/biking trails, kayaking, and mountain biking are nearby. Rooms at this upscale bed & breakfast offer up nice touches like fireplaces, bathrobes, and pillowtop beds with premium linens.
Pros: The lobby transports you to New York with its style and layout. The rooms are well appointed and have great views of New England vistas.
I visit Providence three time a year, How have I never stayed here before?
Cons: Bathroom was a bit dark, but not a deal breaker.
Pros: I loved the quick check-in process, the hospitality of the staff, and the cleanliness of the room.
Cons: The beds are the old coil spring type, and my back gave me some trouble the next morning.
Pros: Very friendly staff, and a nice laid back atmosphere at this historic inn.
Pros: It is in a beautifully restored house with handsomely decorated rooms
Cons: The hotel is next to a very busy Interstate.
Pros: Great Staff, facility, bedroom & dining!I'd like to come when the weather isn't so frigid to enjoy abit more in the area.
Cons: Ouch....cold bathroom floor! (if they renovate, install a warm-tiles heat underlay mat).Possibly getting the 'handouts' they give when checking in, via my eMail before I arrive - so I've got a little insight before arrival? Still, a joy to attend!
Pros: Cleanliness, staff was wonderful (helpful, courteous, friendly) off-street parking, proximity to all attractions
Cons: I couldn't stay longer
I would definitely stay here again.
Pros: Location very convenient, lots of character (much better than a plastic hotel), delicious hot breakfast, and very friendly staff.
Cons: Water pressure in the bathroom was pretty poor.
highly recommend. will stay there again if overnighting in Providence.
Pros: the upgraded large king room excellent breakfast in a beautiful dining room friendliness of all staff encountered cozy public reading room 'staffed' with homemade brownies
Cons: may not have cared for a 'basement' room which is where we were originally booked, presumably because of the lower Priceline price? If Priceline gets the best price at the hotel, I want to know if it is for the room with least ambience.
Pros: The location of the hotel was great with lots of bars, restaurants and event locals close by.
Cons: Hotel was a bit below its normal price point in my opinion. Our suite was very nice but the shower sucked. I'm glad that we got a promotional/discount rate.
Pros: We loved everything. The hotel was beautiful, comfortable and ideally located. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I can't say enough. I will definitely stay here again.
Cons: Everything was ideal.
Pros: We booked this hotel because we were in town for one night, visiting the Waterfire festival. The location was great, close walking distance to the festival, downtown shopping, and restaurants.
Cons: The hotel staff/policies were incredibly unhelpful. We were informed when we checked in that if we had called and asked for the military/ government rate we would of paid less than 50% of what we were charged. Of course, there was nothing they could do about it now. What they didn't tell us at check in was that the deluxe king room we had reserved and paid twice what we should of for, was unavailable. They happily checked us in and sent us up to what I can only assume is the worst room in this 4 star hotel. The glass shelf in the bathroom was broken, there was a large stain on the carpet, the door was so crooked on the hinges there were cracks you could easily see through at the top and bottom. But worst of all, it was a QUEEN sized bed, not KING. Shouldn't be the end of the world, but paying double what we were supposed to and then not even getting what we payed for- not really okay. Assuming they gave us the wrong room unintentionally, we gathered our things and went back to check in, where we were told that A: they can't change our room because the hotel is completely booked. B: it was in the fine print of "whatever website" we booked on that the room wasn't guaranteed. C: there was no offer of a rate reduction or other forms of compensation. Well, after reading all the terms and conditions of the website, and finding nothing mentioning the room not being guaranteed, we called the website, who did everything in their power to help, but we ended up cancelling the hotel reservation (through the website, not the hotel) for a full refund. No complaints about the website, they even went so far as to call all the other 4 star hotels in the area trying to get us a transfer. The hotel on the other hand, is a buisness I hope never to meet again.
Pros: This is a very attractive hotel. The people are very nice. The rooms are attractive with comfortable beds. There is a bar downstairs with excellent music and no cover. The food at breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The booking never got through to the front desk, but they honored the price on my confirmation email.
Pros: Quiet street in noisy city
Cons: Stability ball in gym was deflated, so minor.
Pros: Clean well appointed room. Nice bathroom. K cup coffee and tea. Great location. Good staff and valley.
Cons: Some minor street noise on the alley side
Pros: The staff were great, not only attentive but cheerful and genuinely friendly, enjoyed chatting with us. Only a few blocks to walks along the river. Nice big room, really soft bed. We stopped here on the way home from Maine to Brooklyn, NY, and probably will again next year.
Cons: The coffee.
Pros: Excellent location.
Helpful, friendly staff.
We had a wonderful time.
Pros: The bed and the pillows were very comfortable.
Cons: The staff was very unorganized and were very easy to get confused. The valet parking was a joke.
Pros: It was a beautiful hotel with pleasant, helpful staff.
The room was elegant and had everything we needed.
It was centrally located. Near both great restaurants and the Providence Performing Arts Center where we caught a show.
Cons: The front desk staff was a little slow when checking out. Other than that . . .it was all great.
Pros: very clean, nice and efficient! Thanks!
Pros: Charming boutique hotel.
First-rate front desk staff—friendly and helpful.
Ideal location on a quiet side street but close to downtown's shops and restaurants.
Easy walk to Brown and RISD campuses
Pros: Staff was very willing to help and very friendly with both of my small children.

Pros: The reception staff was accommodating and, refreshingly, genuine interested in being of service and help to all guests.
Cons: The hot tub didn't work :-(
Pros: I liked how close the Hotel was to many fun bars and exciting things to see.
Cons: I didn't like the staff, the hair that was all over my room and not having any food available 24hr.
Pros: We loved the location and consistency in Omni hotels. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very nice restaurants and close to mall with high end stores which I loved. Comfy beds and my 2 kids under 2 loved it as well.
Cons: Only occasional chair in room needed to be changed or cleaned as stains on cream shows up unfortunately.
Pros: Beds were extremely comfortable
Cons: Breakfast in room was too expensive
Pros: stayed two nights at the hotel for my 21st and Valentine's Day. the hotel is right in downtown providence. easy to walk to places. also enjoyed that the hotel was connected to the providence place mall. my boyfriend and I stayed in a premier room so we had beautiful views of downtown.
Cons: We paid extra to get a corner room which we thought would have been bigger than it was. The room next to us had a young child who spent the night screaming from 4am-noon, so we didn't get much sleep the first night. Wifi was expensive as well as parking. Also from our room you could hear the elevator every time it came up and down past our floor which was annoying at times. we purchased a movie one night to watch and the movie skipped. the front desk did not charge us for it, but you would think for paying $18 for a movie that the quality would have been better
Pros: Great location. Easy walking to many attractions.
Pros: The hotel is right next to downtown and connected to the mall and convention center.
Cons: The Internet was too expensive and parking was a bit pricey as well.
Pros: This hotel is in the heart of downtown Providence and it's connected to the Providence Place Mall as well as the Dunkin Donuts Convention Center.
Cons: Self parking is $18 per day and valet parking is $28 per day. Valet has come and go priveleges whereas self parking does not. WiFi is also pricey if you would like a decent connection. It came in at $15 per day.
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well appointed. Pool area was fun and we enjoyed the hot tub.
Cons: I felt a little nickel and dimed: the parking was expensive and there weren't other options in the area. It added a lot of cost to what seemed to be, initially, a great deal.
Pros: Actually booked the room from my iPhone while driving up 95, a half hour before arrival. Great deal through Kayak. Although it was very late, the staff were pleasant and polite. The room was perfect for my high school senior son and myself.
Pros: It's clean and was a large room.
Cons: We checked in at 11 pm after a long drive excited to get to bed. We were kept up for hours when what sounded like a trash compactor was on all night. It was SO LOUD and we live in a city so we are used to noise. I just can't believe they put us in that room and that they charge people money to stay in a room that is next to some sort of loud machine.
Pros: Large clean room. Very nice exercise room. Coffee always available.
Cons: No bathtub
Pros: nice staff, complimentary wi-fi and breakfast, cookies and lemonade in the afternoon
Cons: no - it was great!
Pros: complementary breakfast; staff was helpful; large shower
Cons: would like a frig and microwave in my room
Pros: The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fine.
Cons: First I had to pay $28 to valet park!It was $20 to park in a nearby lot(even at only 7:30pm)too creepy parking there and walk back. Why was valet more? The attendant laughed Room was freezing -60degrees, tv unplugged and no shower curtain. Never again!
Pros: Beautiful hotel! Location fit our needs. Extremely clean hotel and room.
Cons: We didn't realize we would be charged an additional $28 for parking. Guest should be asked if they want to be in a incentive program and informed about the parking cost. Guest should be told there's a breakfast and what time breakfast is available.
Pros: The location and the room were great.
Cons: Pulled up to the hotel and there was a lot of confusion, no one asked to help with our bags so we took a cart and did it ourselves. There appeared to be several attends but they were preoccupied.
Pros: It is very close to school we visited.
Pros: Helpful staff.
Cons: Only one elevator for at least twelve floors.
Pros: Very Helpful and Friendly staff
Pros: Breakfast was decent. They had cold and hot cereal, breads and pastries, waffles, and eggs and a protein that seemed to vary daily.
Cons: The room was downright frigid. The thermostat said 68 deg F, but it couldn't have been more than 60. Cold air was blowing through the vent and there was no way to adjust it. Furthermore, very noisy late into the night because of neighboring club.
Pros: It was VERY secure. The elevator could only be worked by guests and only to their assigned floor.
Cons: Parking was not convenient.
Pros: The room was comfortable and the staff was courteous and helpful.
Cons: The breakfast was worse than average. Also, when we arrived it was too cold to go back out to eat so the desk staffer gave me a handful of restaurant menus. The restaurant we chose took more than an hour to deliver! After they said it would be 30 minutes.
Pros: Really enjoyed the good company, great food and comfortable home atmosphere.
When visiting Seekonk, Nichols Guest House B & B is a great choice to consider. Guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails, kayaking, and mountain biking, and free perks include continental breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Rooms offer DVD players and bathrobes.
Pros: The staff was friendly. The rooms are smaller which is fine.
Lack of coffee maker
Small ironing board
Pros: Everything about the Dean felt like it had been planned out very meticulously. The lighting, amazing linens, and custom soaps and shower gels were all perfect. We kept discovering great "little" gems throught our whole stay!
Pros: The hotel delivered as expected. Rooms were up to date.
Cons: The shower was a bit tricky to use. Cost of parking $26 was a bit high
Pros: On a college tour with my 17 year old daughter and she fell in love with Providence mainly because of the experience we had at and around the Dean. Great service; everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms and public spaces were eclectic but comfortable. Highly recommend it.
Pros: Enjoyed the bars downstairs at the hotel.
Cons: The staff was pretty pretentious.
Cons: Bed squeeked.
Pros: The coffee shop has excellent expresso, delicious!
The elevator is an old fashioned "lift".
Young people running the reception have wonderful, polite personalities!
WiFi works well.
Rooms have wood floors, nice decor, very clean !
I do like the hotel, and sincerely enjoyed my stay. I actually extended it two additional days!
Cons: You wouldn't bring young children, I say, because of the lift.
Pros: Hotel was beautiful, rooms very clean and staff very helpful
Cons: The hotel was really spread out with long narrow hallways. This might be a problem for some guests.
Cons: No free parking
Pros: Very large hotel & rooms. Nice selection for breakfast.
Cons: 'Wood' flooring was very slick & dirty feeling.
Pros: The free breakfast each morning was awesome!! The staff kept it full and never let the food run out.. The hotel and our room was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again when back in the area.
Cons: No elevator
Pros: Close to major artery intersection. Close to fast food, fast gas and downtown Providence.
Pros: Breakfast is pretty darn good! Beds are super comfy, staff is very nice, and I always stay here when I visit Rhode Island.
Cons: The only thing wrong with the Seekonk Clarion is the carpet in the hallways. And who cares?
Cons: there were a couple problems, the toilet was very noisey, and the fee for a pet was prohibitive and not clearly noted on the site. But the staff was very helpful about both issues, so no problems really.
Pros: Great pool area. Close to providence, Bristol and other locations.
Cons: Uncomfortable beds
Pros: The room was wonderfully clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: No-the gym was perfect and the hotel is located near restaurants and easy access to the highways.
Pros: the staff
Cons: room was old, tv did not work properly, breakfast was not good.
Pros: The staff is amazing. We arrived early as a group and they went out of their way to accommodate our group to get us all connecting rooms. Everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location to stay for events in providence ri.
Cons: Everything was great.

Cons: Empty vending machines
Loose fixtures in bathroom
Pros: Nice place. Great location. Really small rooms. Do NOT get any of the rooms with a room number that ends in 29!!
Pros: Nice stay as usual
Cons: Housekeeping interrupting us 3 times in the morning claiming they weren't notified by the desk about our late checkout for 1pm therefore interrupting our extra needed rest
Pros: Suite with 2 kings and living area good decor and comfort
Pros: Central Providence. Five to ten minute walk to area colleges, civic center, numerous restaurants, boutique and mall shopping. All rooms recently and tastefully renovated. Starbucks on site. Excellent staff. Immediately surrounded by historic buildings. Peregrine falcons nest on nearby building (the "superman building").
Cons: Expensive ($28) valet parking. No overnight parking on any of city's streets.
Pros: Room was huge (stayed in junior suite alone), very clean, staff polite and attentive, especially house car/valet folks. Proximity to everything was perfect.
Cons: I wish I could stayed more than one night!
Pros: Loved this hotel. We got a junior suite (for a great price). Had views of Brown/RISD, the Capitol, etc.
Pros: Almost everything about the Biltmore is awesome. It's a beautiful hotel. It's got a ton of charm. The rooms are spectacular. The beds are comfortable. The staff is amazing. The location is central and perfect. It's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in including various Four Seasons etc.
I could wax lyrical for hours... but the net-net is that every time I'm in Providence, I'll be staying at the Biltmore.
Cons: The quality of the room service breakfast was lacking. Poor food quality. No jam for the toast or syrup for the pancakes and the coffee was lame.
Pros: The Biltmore Hotel is a reasonable place to consider for a visit to Providence. It is an older hotel with a historic background and there is a certain charm to staying at such a place in comparison to the typical chain. That said, one must make a few accommodations in this regard. Some things may strike one as dated be it the size of the bathroom, or the trim, or the non-self-closing door (which I actually liked). The skim coat in my shower was cracked..so what?. There is no pool. There is a full-service Starbucks adjoining the lobby. I grew up staying at older hotels with my grandmother. I find them charming. The place is clean and the staff are kind. The bed was very comfortable though rather high off the ground compared to most. The furnishings were contemporary and functioned well. I got a two room suite fit for a CEO for under $200 a night. I have no complaints.
Cons: It was a little noisy in the morning's but other than that it was good
Pros: Great breakfast! Clean, comfortable rooms friendly accommodating staff. We had 3 rooms, 6 adults and 3 children. Requested rooms be near each other and they were right next to each other at the end of the hall. Perfect for visiting. Pool was on the small side, but we had it to ourselves every time we used it! Luck, I'm sure, but it felt like our own private place. Shower right in pool area for rinsing off all the chlorine. We stayed for 4 days over the thanksgiving weekend. Busy time, but very relaxed here. Would definitely stay here again.
Pros: Rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable and staff was extremely friendly (especially the woman who checked me in at night and the two women working in the breakfast area).
Cons: Didn't have any complaints. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and I will stay again when I'm in the area.
Pros: That there was a small fridge and microwave in the room. Also, they has WiFi and a breakfast in the am at no extra charge. Would definately stay again and recommend to others.
Cons: The breakfast had no fruit or yogurt. Very unhealthy choices-but coffee was good.
Pros: Staff were view friendly and professional. Beds were quite comfy and homey.
Cons: Room carpet could have been cleaner. Had used tooth pick beside of ac unit.
Pros: Rroms were clean, felt newly-decorated. Staff were laid back.
Cons: Hot tub in pool room was closed, covered with a cheap and maybe unsafe piece of plywood. The pool water was too cold. Staff seemed unwilling to help with a walk-in, late reservation. Continental breakfast ended too early (should run til 10:30 or 11).

Pros: The location was perfect for the seminar we were taking
Cons: the price was very high for what we received.
Pros: People were generally friendly, but a lack of either flexibility or authority with the front level staff was mildly upsetting.
Cons: I booked two nights separately online. (I decided to add a night to the stay in advance of going). When I got to the hotel I mentioned this and they said it wouldn't be an issue. Just to check back in the next day. When I went to check back in at 8 AM, it was an issue. They wanted to move me because someone had already checked in online for my room? I had to spend half an hour and speak with 3 people to get it resolved. The woman at the front desk originally told me there was nothing they could do. It would have been nice if she had offered to check with someone rather than me having to ask to speak with a manager.
Pros: Staff were helpful
Cons: Bathroom was very small and needed some renovation. Room was dark and could have used better lighting.
Pros: Perfect location for show @ DD Center, & walking distance to plenty of sights/restaraunts/bars/shopping.
Cons: Daily parking rate of $25. Walked everywhere, so didn't use car for two days.
Cons: The hotel was under renovation and this was not disclosed anywhere. the work is very nice and i am sure that it will be wonderful after it is complete, but it would have been nice to know prior to arrival.
the carpet is new but the design is one that makes you think it is worn and old. they should rethink the design.
Pros: New room design was fantastic
Congrats to the designers
Also the front desk girl who checked me in, she was very busy, all by herself and she handled herself with grace
Overall great experience
Pros: The staff was curtious. Location is convenient and view is lovely overlooking the harbor.
Cons: The hotel is under construction. It is significant. The work begins at 8:30 am. The structure vibrates. The water supply in the hotel is disturbed by the construction. The power is weak, and the water runs brown for a few minutes. Most of the fixtures in the room were faulty. I was supposed to stay 2 nights. I left stating they should not be open. They did refund me for the night. I will try them again after the renovation. This is due to be completed in May. The location is very convenient and the view is lover
Y over looking the park and harbor.
Cons: We were not advised at the time of the reservation that the hotel is undergoing renovation's. The restaurant and bar are closed. No morning coffee even available on -site . Very noisy!
Pros: i had a great view of the harbor from my room.
Cons: A number of little things like lobby wasn't welcoming, had to wait about 10 minutes for a bartender at 6:15pm, shower needs drano. hotel had signs of aging.
Pros: Location on water & bike path, rooms clean, showers very hot
Cons: Charged for a waterfront room, when didn't get one told not guaranteed due to third party booking. Also would not provide receipt and claimed due to third party booking. Sleep number beds could not change settings. Bathroom tub outdated, but new sink
Cons: it is not in good location, the heater in the first room was broken and blowing cold air only. We were relocated to another room while given a free breakfast voucher for that. The heater in the second room worked fine however the fan was on all the time. We set it to 63 and woke up to sever heat in the middle of the night. We turned it off completely and thiught it would be safer to use more blankets
Pros: I liked how we could request a room on our desired floor. The view wasnt exactly what youd get out of a penthouse, but nevertheless very nice to look at when night arrives. Me and ny girlfriend would only open the curtains then.
Cons: The tub had some rust and it showed when the hot water was given a test. Housekeeping cleaned this for us and a solution was found, just dont recommend filling the tub with the hot water to the max.
Pros: the Wyndham was very easy to get to,and from any place.it was situated in a convenient location. The staff were friendly, and helpful. We had a "city" view which means we got a view of the highway, but that was no big deal we were not in the room that often. Surprised to find sleep number beds, did fuss with it a bit,but the beds were comfortable.
Cons: The curtains in the room were broken and it just blew with the air, actually tried to fix it thinking it just came unhooked but thats how I found out it was broken. When my daughter and I went to go to bed she found hair on her bed & pillows that didn't belong to either one of us,called the front desk, told them,& they took care of it right away. The restaurant at the hotel was convenient, ate there the first night since it was late, but didn't after that-not really all that great.,
Cons: old, stinky, poor value. Only stayed here because we needed a place for a night while traveling further north. Would not recommend, but I assume the management doesn't care about improving the condition of the hotel, nobody would stay here by choice (more of a necessity).
Pros: The room was pretty much what I expected for the price. It was clean and has been kept up maintenance wise.
Cons: The front desk clerk was not very friendly at all. Hardly even looked at us while we checked in.
Pros: Free wifi. Free breakfast. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great price. Good location. Good shower and towels. Nice usable spaces for luggage and working. Good tv. Ample parking. Near plenty of food and shops.
Pros: The staff members were very nice, the young man kept changing my room until I was comfortable. The breakfast was good and the dining area was very clean. Location is good.
Cons: All the rooms had a bad odor to it. I had to buy a bottle of febreeze and spray the floor and furniture down. There was a weird stain on the comforter. The rooms I checked had a weird urine smell and/or smelled of cigarettes.
Pros: Straightforward room with just what I needed and no extra perks.
Cons: I was signed up for their internet offers without my authorization and now I get emails from them.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and informative. Overall the whole hotel was pretty clean.

Cons: This place was horrible! The lady at the desk was cold and unfriendly during check in. We were up for a funeral so just checked in and then came back around 10 at night. The toilet was broke and ran ALL night long, the AC kept shutting down - the TV was from the 90's- my wife burnt herself washing her hands because the water temp was scolding hot - the microwave was on top of the fridge but there wasn't anywhere to plug it in so we had to move it and find a spot - there were Cheerios all around the bed and floor and when you tried calling 0 to get someone, they didn't answer! Please spend the extra few dollars and got to any other place but this one!!!
Pros: Staff was absolutely great! Extremely courteous and helpful. Room was very clean, plenty of hot water, housekeepers were extremely courteous and efficient. Once again, great staff from front desk through housekeeping.
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Lousy breakfast
NO wifi !!
Pros: Convenient location. Staff 'act' friendly.
Cons: We stayed one night, unpacking as little as possible. It's been 3 days since we left and our rental car still stinks from our suitcases that absorbed the cigarette smoke in the room. It is bad, very bad. I asked for a non-smoking room and they wanted $40 more. My sleep apnea medical device will need to be replaced as I can't get the smell out even after aggressive cleaning.
Pros: Room was spacious, bed comfortable. Shower was very good, although the tile was a bit dated. Towels were plentiful but flimsy. Overall a decent value for the price.
Pros: I liked the availability of a pool. I also liked that it was secluded.
Cons: The shower in the bathroom leaked all over the bathroom floor.
Pros: In this case u get what u pay for
Cons: Mattress and comforter should have been replace 10 years ago. Without anything placed on the bed there was a sag in the middle of the bed.

Pros: Beds were comfortable once we removed sketchy blankets.
Cons: Smelly. People loitering in hallway. Empty bottle of whiskey under bathroom sink.
Pros: Well kept, old building with traditional flourishes. Upgraded room was quite appealing, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Overall the stay was pleasant.
Cons: Room service failed us significantly (one day they removed towels and did not replace, and no replacement on toiletries during service) however the front desk staff was very pleasant and resolved all of our issues quickly.
There wasn't much in the way of power outlets near the end tables, which was only a minor inconvenience, and there was no microwave in our room, though we had a fridge.
Cons: Everything was fine until they charged my credit card $250 plus the room cost. When I called, I was told to call back later. When I did I was told that there was smoking in the room so they charged me $250. When I explained that there was not smoking, I was told over and over, there was smoking in the room. When I then asked whom else to talk with. I was given the general managers name and told that he would call me the following day. He did not. When I called back again I was told that there was smoking in the room, so they would not refund my money and the general manager did not call me back because he wouldn't do anything for me. I again requested that he call me and am still waiting. Horrible customer service and there was no smoking!
Pros: Room was clean, staff was friendly, big parking lot
Cons: Only complaint was a window kept opening in room due a crack in the frame
Pros: Everything was great, breakfast wifi, and staff
Cons: I was next to an outside exit and the door kept opening and closing all night.
Pros: the bathroom's were big
Cons: pretty much everything else
Pros: Easy to get to. Big clean room.
Cons: I did not like that the air conditioner was not in the bedroom so the "living room" got very cold, but bedroom did not.
