Althoguh at the time of pick up they told me to bring back the key to the station, when I did that at the drop off time at 7 i nthe morning the staff told me that I have to go back to the parking and drop the key in the keybox. This is super distressing just two hours before flight

I went to return my car and they only take payment by a credit card. I came back to pay cash and they told me no we dong accept cash, so I went to pay debit and they told we dont take debit. You can only pay by a credit card. Im like I dont want to pay with that card. It does not say anywhere in the agreement that I have to pay with a credit card. Also when I was picking up the card there was a guy there that was so frustrated with them and spoke out that he will not be renting from them again. Nut sure what his problem was but he was not happy at all.

Great check in and return. Car USB wasn’t working and couldn’t connect CarPlay but everything else was working fine.
Read small prints very carefully and if the text is confusing/subject to interpretation assume the worst case scenario

please make it more clear that there are extra charges if going out of province and that you absolutely require detailed insurance information. The amount of time you waste for people is astounding - so many people unaware of your stringent policies. I was super annoyed and will not be returning.

Real easy to pickup and drop off. Everything was fast, car was brand new.
Location, rental price and vehicle were positive, however the pickup and drop-off experience was less enjoyable compared to other agencies. Factors such as a high refundable deposit ($1500), a 2500km limit on mileage (even though functionally irrelevent), and requirement for two pieces of identification with address were unexpected and made the process less smooth. Demeanor of staff also could have been friendlier.

The car was too big. I asked for a smaller one but didn’t get it. The car stalled twice during my two day rental. On drop off, I asked for a courtesy ride home…literally a 9 min drive and they said they couldn’t. The Europcar operates out of Routes. I won’t use them again.
I expected modern car but it was pretty old. No android car or apple car. Just a basic bluetooth!

I arrived after the agent closed even though I directly called Avis twice to arrange after hours pick up, as KAYAK advised me to. Avis does not have a 24/7 help line, only a sales line. At 2 am in a city and airport I'd never been in I was left without transportation or immediate help and was told if I didn't return at 7 am I would lose my reservation. Worst rental car experience ever and ended up costing me way more money due to Uber alternative. It was also a massive inconvenience as I was in town for my sister in laws funeral and was supposed to drive guests and family around.

Horrible. Clerk at the counter unknowledgeable wanting to charge additional driver fee for spouse. Contrary to own website info + Avis agent on the phone. Clerk at counter was argumentative and adamant that "policy" is different for Canada yet was unable to provide clear black and white evidence of such policy. Canadian Avis site is murky in description for additional driver. The contradiction between the Clerk at the counter and the agent on the phone, both working for Avis was enough for us to walk away and rent from another company.
