Pros: Extremely friendly proprietors, very helpful, knew the area well and able to guide our walking & restaurant choices. Loved the home baking, delicious!
Cons: N/A.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent B&B - Lovely friendly welcome, very comfortable and peaceful room with a great view. Alison and Victor are great hosts and I would definitely stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was first rate. From the genuine, friendly welcome, the thoughtful touches in the room, the honesty bar, to the delicious and plentiful breakfast. Amazing view over the town, the valley and the Bristol Channel.
Cons: Cannot think of a single thing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Kindly, caring and welcoming. A well-organised family feeling small business dedicated to excellence within a modest budget. When I got distracted and failed to check out, they had moved me to another room. But moved me precisely, everything laid out exactly as I had left it on the floor below - why? because they had a disabled guest coming they wanted the new guest to be best cared for, while treating me with tact and enormous care. - Their decision was the correct and most tactful one.
Cons: I failed to read the carefully written instructions, and drove the very narrow winding road in the dark and sheeting rain ... when Sinai had gone to the trouble to discribe the less 'car-scrapingly' alarming road, google maps suggested. (still, a great adventure and no damage done!) - so compleatly my fault. - (Some people, just can't be helped! But Sinai had tried.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sinai House is a small, family-owned B&B whose owners care for their guests like for dear friends. My room was neatly decorated, comfortable and clean, and attention was paid to every small detail. In the morning, a very delicious warm breakfast was served according to the guests' wishes - with a large choice of (meat & veg) options - complemented by a buffet including fresh fruit, home-made marmalade, honey, cereals, ... The view to the seaside was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful accommodation and the warm, friendly welcome by the owners. In a nutshell: A perfect place to stay! :)

Pros: Large beautiful hotel difficult to keep warm, upgraded my room for free, room was exceptionally clean and once heated up very comfortable. Lovely couple couldn't do enough for me. Breakfast again exceptional fantastic quality of food and plenty of choice
Cons: . ZERO
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view was spectacular and the local wildlife was fun.
Cons: The soundproofing in the rooms was rather weak along with the guest handling manner! The customer, although not necessarily right, should at least be given due consideration.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything. A very cozy small room under the roof. Considering the size it was well furnished with two chairs and a small table, that is very nice to have for a cup of tea or to write a post card. The bathroom was quite spacious, nice and bright. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was great, could not have been any better. Two lounge rooms were available, in case you wanted some more space. Car Park in front of the house is very convenient. Walking distance to town with restaurants and shops. Good location also for walks along the coast.
Cons: Nothing really. Please note it is a bit of a steep walk back from town but manageable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rockvale House was such a beautiful place. It was extremely clean and had amazing views right in the centre of Lynton. The breakfast was to die for too and Phil and Ness were wonderful hosts. It was a very relaxing stay and we are looking forward to visiting again soon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, welcoming, friendly hosts. My room was lovely, and the bed was so comfortable, the breakfast was really well cooked and presented - delicious, really set me up for the day! Thank you for such a great stay, I'll definitely be back!
Cons: I liked it all!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was spotless yet welcoming. The room and bathroom although not ensuite was well stocked, good shower plenty of hot water. Warm and comfortable throughout. Views spectacular. Parking beside the house felt secure, well off the road. Great choice at breakfast. Home made marmalade, muesli and bread (excellent). Room was small but that was expected, small but perfectly formed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, conscientious owners; Impeccably clean throughout; Warm and comfortable rooms; First-rate complimentary breakfast, with fresh fruit, quality cereals, butcher-sourced bacon, sausages, etc., fresh eggs from the hens in the garden, homemade breads, preserves and yoghurt. Don't miss the lemon curd!
Cons: English plumbing - I didn't deduct marks for this, as i know it to be a traditional english condition and not reasonably within the control of the hotel owners. - The usual problems: Very cramped shower; Water temperature highly erratic; No heating in bathroom. As George Mikes (pronounced Meekesh) reported to us in his hilarious memoire of an immigrant to Britain, "How To Be An Alien": "It is all right to have central heating in an English home, except in the bath room, because that is the only place where you are naked and wet at the same time, and you must give British germs a fair chance."
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hosts! Incredibly lovely and always helpful. Huge variety of freshly cooked English breakfast with delicious homemade bread, marmalade and jam. Very nice place to go for walks along the coast or Exmoor. Best B&B on our two weeks trip through Devon!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful
Cons: TV reception was not good, TV needed upgrading
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was exceptional with plenty of options, I myself opted for the full English. It was cooked to perfection, and the standard was unsurpassed. The bacon was perfectly cooked, as were the eggs, in addition to this, I actually got proper mushrooms! Not the canned rubbish, and it was delightfully presented on the plate.
Cons: I could not fault my stay here.

Pros: Great location , Beautiful surroundings , Upgraded Room , Tasty Breakfast , quick Check in . Would highly recommend . Just what we needed great break , Tranquil with great people

Cons: We didn't like it, we loved it all for sure. Fantastic bath we could fully recline in, room for two! The bed was even better and the heating was in our control so the cold windy weather was forgotten...

We had a very comfortable nights sleep and had an excellent breakfast the following morning. My husband went as far as to say it was the best cooked breakfast he'd had out.
Cons: Nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A last minute trip away found ourselves staying at South Cliffe in the heart of Lynton for just one night escape from our busy work schedules. We were warmly welcomed by Jane and Charlie and their gorgeous spaniel, Peanuts (who only appears for guests who are comfortable with furry animals) Our room was impeccably clean, the bed was comfortable and crisply laundered. Our en-suite was fab. The breakfast was absolutely scrumptious - my gluten free diet was accommodated without any issues and we had privilege of chatting with our hosts about our favourite walks and places to eat and discovering new places to explore. Thank you Jane and Charlie for your outstanding hospitality. We will highly recommend you and look forward to returning soon. Whatever the weather, Lynton is magical gem on Exmoor coast and Southcliffe is an excellent setting to base yourself for long or short stays.

The quality of food at breakfast is first class with a varied menu choice offering a good selection of cereal, fruit, yogurt with beautifully cooked full English or smoked salmon etc to follow. The location is very central with nearby restaurants. Jane and Charlie are excellent hosts and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. All in all a fantastic 3-day break - we will be back!!

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Ingleside Guest House in Lynton, you'll be in a national park, just steps from Exmoor National Park and 3 minutes by foot from Lynton Cinema. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good, all cooked to order, you couldn't get better in a five star hotel. Staff were great, really appreciated their kindness and their service couldn't be faulted. The weather was against us this particular weekend which didn't help matters. We had the room at the top of the house, bit of a trek to get up there, and I banged my head twice on the eaves, but, all of that was made up for the view across Lynton, and the spectacular Town Hall.
Cons: Bed comfort was a bit of an issue, we both left with sore backs, but this is an issue in places with a good amount of stars, so I'm probably being over critical.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners were friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
Cons: Could find no faults
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really couldn't fault our stay. The welcome, hosts, room, location, breakfasts and dinner at the hotel were all great. If you are staying at Lynton do so with Dianna and Keith.
Cons: Having to leave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in Ingleside. Kieth and Diane are very welcoming and helpful hosts. The guesthouse is situated on top of the hill in glorious area with the most amazing views, spotlessly clean, spacious and light rooms with brilliant decor, great breakfast. Would recommend 10/10. Thank you very much for making our holiday special.

8.8 Excellent
Cons: A beautiful BnB set in a lovely garden, close to mini supermarket, pubs and restaurants. The owners are very friendly, a selections of cooked breakfast with vegetarian option. We booked deluxe double room with bath in Room 7 (Walker's Rest). The room is on the top floor in a converted roof space, the ensuite bathroom is decent in size with a shower over bath. However the double bed is light weight and not sturdy enough, the legs wobble when you change your sleeping posture, it is more suitable for a single person. We both got backache next morning, this is the first time happened to us after travelling in UK for 3 weeks. Otherwise we enjoyed our stopover in Lynton.
7.5 Good
Pros: We received a Lovely warm welcome. The rooms were clean and the communal areas nicely decorated. Breakfast was excellent and included home made granola and preserves. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. We intend to return next year.
Cons: We found the 4pm check-in a little inconvenient especially after a long journey. A more usual check-in time is 2-3 pm
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was well presented spotlessly clean and within easy reach of many local walks
Cons: Could not fault the property
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, room was spacious, breakfast was excellent. Hosts were lovely and friendly.
Cons: Nothing not to like, found bed a little hard but it’s personal preference.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall very pleasant in every respect
Cons: Bed is too narrow for a couple. An extra 40c”m in width would do wonders . A stand to put a suitcase on would help. The price per night was slightly high and should have reflected the fact that It was the low season of the year.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and choice of rooms, Gregg and Jacqui were very friendly and accommodating with an excellent selection at breakfast, especially the home made jams!
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Great stay. Couldn’t fault a thing. Wonderful hosts and a hearty breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly, venue was well presented, clean cosy and relaxing. Mattress very comfy. Superb breakfast.
Cons: Our room was at the top of the house, with a bad back and breathing issues I struggled a little. Bed frame a little noisy! I’m all for being environmentally friendly but I felt charging a £1 for tap water by the bed was a little much, If a charge should be made I think it would have been better to include it in the nightly fee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts, Nick and Melanie were very nice, as were the accommodations. House is located in easy walking distance of Lynton (for restaurants, sites) and tram down to Lynmouth. Also easy to walk to the South West Coast Path which provides outstanding views. Morning breakfasts were great, too, along with the evening desserts that Melanie provided.

Cons: The room was very dusty but worst of all the road leading in to the property was only passable with a 4x4
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A warm, friendly arrival. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for these lovely hosts. Such a welcoming country greeting and lovely coffee and beer with owners and their gorgeous well behaved dogs. It was just a shame that arriving in January with mist & fog we were unable to appreciate the glorious views from the farm house, into the valley's. We will definately be returning to such a hidden gem of a place.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Wonderful location in countryside with lots of walking paths. Very good breakfast with wonderful view across valley. Very friendly staff; they were always willing to share local knowledge and to recommend wonderful restaurants (e.g. Black Venus) for dinner.

Pros: Very comfy bed. Lovely fluffy towels and robes. Everything was provided, eg. washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, cloths, tea towels etc. The owners were very happy to advise about places to visit/ eat locally and loaned us some maps. Nice touch having fresh daffodils on the table and homemade flapjacks. Pros: Excellent hosts, perfect location on the coast path and near to towns of Lynton and Lymouth. Lovely homemade cakes left for us on arrival. Our hosts made good recommendations for places to eat - especially Sunday lunch. Hope to return soon.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was exceptional in every way. Just WOW!
Cons: Clean, well equipped, perfectly situated with the most stunning views.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a fantastic location. Very quiet and peaceful. Great walks around and scenery. Would have liked to go on the railway but obviously it was out of season. It'll be a good excuse to go back. Accommodation was immaculately clean., fresh and bright. Lovely homemade flapjacks by Sarah.
Cons: We were two couples. The accommodation was fantastic but I think if I booked it again I would only book for two in that particular accommodation. It was a little awkward sleeping in the living room, rather than in separate bedroom. We did obviously know this at the time of booking though. It isnt a reflection on the standard of the accommodation.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous little studio apartment, perfect for 2. Lovely views and easy walking distance to shops and pubs. Very clean and had everything that was needed, my only slight negative (which is purely a personal taste thing) the mattress was too soft, but it wouldn’t stop me from going again!

Pros: Good breakfast selection. Hosts available 9 p.m. for arrival and comfy. Had a nice mix of modern and traditional Furnishings inside
Cons: There is no hot water about 10:45 p.m. for a shower we've been out all day day the Host told us that it is probably been used up by the other residents and in any case it would be too late to have a shower that would disturb the other guess we thought this was not a great attitude and we could at least have been warned to have had it when we arrived rather than missing out

Pros: The hotel was well located, very comfortable, welcoming and relaxing. Proprietors, Cathryn and Sarah, were both so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent food served in the hotel's Bay View Restaurant. All breakfasts and dinners were really very good. Great menu choices and great service. Our bedroom and the guest lounge were superb. Cosy, comfortable and lovely furnishings.
Cons: Our 3 night stay was faultless.

Pros: Our stay at Pine Lodge was lovely! Our hosts were super friendly and gave us a lot of tips for the area. The house and the rooms were super nice and clean! Breakfast was very good as well! We liked the location of Pine Lodge because its in the Exmoor Nationalpark and there were still lots of restaurants and cafes in walking distance. There is a lot to see and do in the area, we really enjoyed the beautiful views around Exmoor Nationalpark!
