Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Residhome is a family friendly stay and at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is about 30 mins walk to the attractions in the historical part of the city. It is however, quite close the relatively new wine museum. The only challenge was the slight difficulty we had in finding the minor street that leads to the car park entrance. Perhaps the hotel can provide clearer instructions and perhaps a map with directions to those who book and require parking. Overall still quite a good stay.
Cons: Lack of clear directions to find the car park entrance. We had to make a few rounds before we managed to guess the street where the car park entrance is. It is located off the main roads.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely apartment, the Residhome was delightfully decorated for Christmas. Location on the quays is excellent.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The placement of the hotel is excellent, with tramway in front of the hotel. It is an excellent tradeoff cost-comfort. The space in the rooms are very good, and it is fully equipped.
7.0 Good
Pros: Its in a great location but unfortunately for us on the night we arrived the hotel had no heating. it was one of the coldest nights of the year. This utterly ruined our experience of Bordeaux. We would quite happily return here as we feel that the hotel cant be like that all the time. But on this occasion !!!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: amazing personal. very kind and helpful. nice and clean room. very close to the center of city. very close to the train station. good location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location with easy access by tram to attractions of Bordeaux. Dog friendly with secure parking. Clean and modern.
Cons: Not hotels fault, but roadworks currently make access to underground parking difficult .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Away from the old town, but in a good location close to the Citi du Vin and it’s tram stop;small (we booked the studio size) but well equipped room; modern, clean and tidy; convenient supermarket below hotel; lots of restaurants and bars nearby; secure parking available; helpful staff
Cons: Parking arrangements were confusing. The situation was not helped by the current roadworks, but more info could have been provided with the booking confirmation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is new, and in a great location, just a short tram ride to the city center. The train station is just outside of the hotel. There is a great supermarket next to the hotel. We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen in the room, with brand new dishes, a microwave, a fridge and even a dish washer! The shower is big and comfortable, and the bed is extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff , the situation and the rooms
Cons: Breakfast was a bit over priced for what was on offer and our granddaughter was bitten by mosquitos or something .

Cons: Absolutely nothing!
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was great, clean and very nice.
Cons: The night we arrived was a marathon which closed off all local streets for a mile so we had to walk with our bags. The band for the marathon was playing outside our window until 1:30 am. No notification from the hotel. Had I known, I would have booked a different day or hotel. Hotel concierge also didn’t warn me the trains would all be booked the next day due to the marathon. We had to wait 3 hours for an available train. I had asked the concierge how early we needed to buy tickets and she said we only needed to arrive 20 min early. We missed our dinner at our destination.

Pros: The property is in a good location and has a nice area for drinks.
Cons: An item of clothing was stolen from my suitcase - I tried to resolve this issue with the hotel but no one was interested in helping.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is set in an old townhouse, nice grand staircase and rooms. The decoration in my room was modern, with a walk-in shower and a small seating area. The staff was extremely nice, helpful and caring and made my stay very pleasant. Also: taste the wines in the veranda downstairs.

Pros: The service as very good - extremely friendly and helpful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very central, the staff was spot on with recommendation for a restaurant, our room was warm and cozy and we could have used the Jacuzzi if we wanted to as was ready to go when we arrived. The hotel also offers wine tasting and they knew the perfect digestif to propose on our return from dinner. Breakfast was very good. Impressed by the scrambled eggs! We would stay there again no doubt. The attention to detail of the staff was appreciated for our friend also staying in a room. whilst her and I had a drink they left a hot water bottle in her room as she found her room a bit cold on arrival.
Cons: A shame the heaters were not turned on outside in the patio.

Building is very beautiful, especially the restaurant in the lobby, great wine and starters. Polite staff, always smile and ready to help.
Cons: A little bit noisy, but probably because of the old historic building itself. Sometimes slow wifi connection Tip for the female travelers: make sure u bring the conditioner with you. In the room only shampoo, body lotion, shower gel ( all good smelling)

Cons: 30 minute walk to the centre
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location virtually across from Gare. Easy walking distance to sites & river. Helpful, courteous reception & cleaning staff. Would definitely recommend.
Cons: Room small by Australian standards but exceptionally clean, bed very comfy, no view but room was very quiet.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location is very good, and the hotel is pet friendly. Apart from that, we were surprised that the staff did not speak English at all, and the room cleanliness was far from good (it was the first time we had to change the room!). We are frequent guests of the Best Western Hotels brand, and find them really great, but this one is much below BW average. Read full review for details. If you are looking for a leisure and chill, this hotel may surprisingly interrupt your plans
Cons: Well, overall BW Hotels are great, but in this one we had to change the room to another one because of very improper cleaning (the toilet was just gross). Besides we had to use a translator to talk to the staff, as English was not spoken here. The whole point of being loyal to Best Western Hotels is to have an accommodation without any stress. This time everything ended up being passable, but there was a lot of unnecessary stress and time wasted due to communication with staff and room lower standards. This was the first time of 7 in BW we had to change the room due to poor conditions. Anyway, the process went relatively smoothly and the staff was helpful (despite lack of English). The lower rating is because hotels should serve people, not the other way around. You pay for your stay so you shouldn't be constantly stressed about it or uncomfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Read the reviews and found this hotel quiet and good all around, glad it’s not right next to the station as that seemed noisy at ngt. A very good supermarket 200 yards away, tram stop outside and a kettle all helped.
Cons: It was good all told but breakfast way to expensive so didn’t bother.
6.7 Good
Cons: Shower didnt work and staff was unhelpful for a while
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and staff friendliness.
Cons: Nothing, all was amazing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great central location for your Bordeaux adventure - easily accessible by public transportation.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The check in staff were wonderful
Cons: My cousin's mood!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Attractive reception and breakfast room area. The receptionist were friendly and pleasant. Very good soundproof, as l didn’t hear any sounds from the next doors, although, those were occupied. Nice size of the room with blanket equipped.
Cons: The shower was without a full screen and bit difficult to use without splashing ....The coffee which we had to make ourselves by machine at the breakfast was not very tasty...The breakfast also looked attractive, but quite a few sweet cakes such as pain perdu, pain d’épice, yogurt cake etc... rather than traditional morning bread....it maybe the French style...? The bathroom door was opaque, but could show the lighting when the other person was using. So it was bit disturbing as we had different sleeping and bath time patterns.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was positioned for easy access off the main road. As we were on the second floor, the fact the hotel had lift's helped.
Cons: The road noise, despite the extra glazing. We also had another room allocated as the manager couldn't open the original room given to us.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I don't understand why this hotel is only a 2 star rating. No it doesn't have a restaurant. No it doesn't have a pool. But it is way better than some of the 3 star hotels in the area. It is very comfortable, very clean, heating and aircon are excellent, wifi is good, breakfast is also good, staff are superb, parking is easy and all for a very good price. So why only a 2 star, I don't understand. Will I use this hotel again, definitely.
Cons: N/A
7.1 Good
Pros: Bed comfortable, pillows the best anywhere.
Cons: The lift didn’t open at our floor. The electric key didn’t work for our room. To get into the hotel was almost impossible following the instructions. What was a code, pin or security number we had to juggle them all and which was for which. Bring back staff to be helpful to guest.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Location, staff, food, room, bed, huge bathroom, it was all fantastic.
Cons: Only one negative comment is there wasn't any tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Oh and a view of a wall wasn't the best but didn't bother us!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location and breakfast
Cons: Didn’t expect such a small size of room for the paid price. Very uncomfortable. Tiny space to cross the room and entry to the bathroom. TV is in frame which can hurt you (my husband got injured by this frame while going nearby). One evening wanted room service however called twice reception and nobody answered. At the checkout we found out that there were spa entry fee in our bill however we didn’t use spa at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Personnel
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, style, comfort
Cons: Breakfast is offered on a strange and rather mean basis. Two options, one of which takes much of the buffet off your choice. Very narrow choice for €10.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location good. Front desk staff helpful
Cons: Apparently we were given a bigger room.... god knows what the smaller one was like. Our new room was very small. Mistakes made when booking our spa treatments and we were not able to use the other spa facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location (a short walk to the tram), spa access, nice restaurant with great breakfast. Nice finishes in rooms with great lighting. Loved the chandelier over the beds. It appeared that most 2nd floor rooms had a balcony, ours had 2 French doors leading to a long narrow balcony overlooking a quiet (for winter) street. Great helpful staff.
Cons: Our room 216 had plenty of closet space, although most was for hanging clothes. Minimal drawer or shelf space, with only a few shelves up high. As with many European hotels with smaller rooms, storage space could be better served by shelves and hooks for hanging clothes. Also our deluxe room had only a desk chair, no lounge chair.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very elegant, very clean, nice breakfast, excellent facilities
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect. Also the staff at the reception was very helpful.
Cons: Bed. We asked for large bed and this request was accepted by hotel. However upon arrival we found out we had only queen size bed. We were told that it is impossible to get large bed for our type of room. Also the wellness area is very small and if you really want to enjoy proper stay in sauna - forget about this one.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and building. Felt secure.
Cons: Happy with the room although some parts starting to look a little tired.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The interior courtyard, bathroom was super, breakfast was good although a bit French. Great location. Lovely building.
Cons: The WiFi was not very good in the bedroom, the music system did not work (not big issue), the free water was only offered in the first day.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: decoration, location and free coffee and cake in the morning were so lovely.. also staff helped us out a lot with dinner reservation etc.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect! Right in the centre, walking distance or a short drive with the tram to everywhere. The bed was comfort, big room, the balcony facing the street was beautiful. The staff was very willing to help us with every question we had.
Cons: The bathtub is pretty uncomfortable. Too high and a little risky, it was ok for me, but for old people or kids, it can be dangerous. The staff tried to do their best, but the heating went off for one night and they solved the problem only the next day.

9.6 Excellent
Cons: The noise - The lodge was very noisy. Difficult to sleep
6.3 Good
Pros: Well decorated and supplied with notable exceptions. Tapas bar offerings were exceptional.
Cons: No coffee in room. Had to go out in rain to another building for coffee. Outlets in bathroom did not work. Very noisy due to loud music playing late at night. Air conditioning hard to figure out or not working.
6.7 Good
Pros: The owners have really spent a great deal to make this a high class establishment. It has high end accommodation, but only of its type. The location and amenities are very good, although, again, of its type. Having good amenities on-site is a real plus and the grounds etc have been finished to a high standard. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were excellent.
Cons: Basically, this isn't for us. I can't criticise the premises overall, but for us (65yo) this really isn't the accommodation and facilities we would normally go for. We stayed in one of the lodges, basically a high class tent. We would have loved this 30 years ago, so it is not their fault that we really didn't go for it 100% at our ages. There is no air conditioning, the toilet chamber is too small to use adequately if the door is closed and, worst of all for us, the tent is secured with two combination locks fastened at floor level. In the first place this means having to lie on the floor to secure the locks and, at night, means that visibility of the combination is severely restricted. Not a plus point with a bad back! The mosquitoes and horse flies were a serious nuisance. Finally, having a soft porn movie (50 Shades of Grey) on the lawn about 50m away wasn't what I expected at night, although it finished reasonably early. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the jazz band about 80m away, which went on until 1.00am. The restaurants (we used both) are relatively expensive and the portion sizes way too big for us. The food is very good though.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the lodge, food and facilities
Cons: Disappointed with the location. Very noisy being so close to the University and Stadium- really spotlit our stay. People were wandering around right near our lodge and looking through the windows at us. Felt unsafe as people could walk in and out of the complex and very close to our lodge. Also felt forgotten about and felt the staff on the sat and Friday nights prioritized people in the restaurant and people who were heading to the parties were more important than the lodge guests.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, fabulous rooms.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The ducks. The food. The cleanliness. The location. It was ideal. My father had just been released from Bordeaux Hospital and it was the perfect place for him to rest and recuperate for a few days before flying home to the UK.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very welcoming, the facilities were good, the decor and ambiance was great
Cons: The masseuse was texting whilst I was being massaged! She was very unpunctual and not at all polite and welcoming like the rest of the staff
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The pool and massage hut was the nicest part but you can not say they have a gym or spa...that is a large stretch. The service was non existent aside from the expensive breakfast delivered at your requested time in morning. Honestly, I can't really complain about the price of breakfast though because it was the only option unless you want a 15-20 minute commute to the closest bakery. The bed linens and tens themselves were really cool and comfortable, although hotel did not provide locks to close them...you'd need to be very comfortable with the person if you are sharing a tent as they are basically using toilet, sink and shower in front of you. Oh, also no sink drain so you essentially have a sink full of water the entire time. Would have been fine if they had told me that ahead of time.
Cons: VERY WEIRD experience here. The place was empty aside from me. Their was no staff aside from one woman until maybe 6pm in a building a 4 minute walk away. The tents themselves were cool and nice but oddly placed in this location/amidst Bordeaux. Trying to make it something it's clearly not. No lobby or main meeting place, the reception desk (if you can even call them that) was in a little store on property. Can't stress enough how odd this place was. All outdoor furniture was covered in coloured bed sheets. The pool and massage hut was the nicest part but you can not say they have a gym or spa...that is a large stretch. The service was non existent aside from the expensive breakfast delivered at your requested time in morning. Honestly, I can't really complain about the price because it was the only option unless you want a 15-20 minute commute to the closest bakery. I ended up leaving 2 days early because it was so weird and awful and they would not refund or give me partial credit for anything.

4.0 Okay
Pros: Directly next to tram stop and very cheap.
Cons: It was the most functional room I have ever seen. The mattress was very old and worn out, the electric generator was incredibly loud, the walls were thin and the noise of the highway directly in front of my window could be hear at all times. I also didn't feel very welcome or very safe with the people in the hotel. Would definitely not come back.

Pros: Gentleman that booked us in was lovely and helpful
Cons: Room was adequate, bit of a 70's throwback being bright orange, room smelt of stale sticky smell, corridor stank of cigarette smoke, was a bit edgy when we went to view the lake and a group of local alchys were adjacent to the hotel, but a quiet ish night, but wouldn't stay again
