Pros: The location was perfect. I liked being in the old town.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This little bed and breakfast was right next the main attraction in the town, a walled city and fortress. The owners were fantastic! They were very accommodating and helpful with what to do and see. Room was clean and large - very comfortable. The hotel was clearly historic and well maintained! We loved it!
Cons: The stairs going up to the rooms are narrow and a little uneven. We found it charming, but it would be difficult for those who have trouble with stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: wonderful breakfast really charming room, great service couldn't have asked for more
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loches is a very historic town with lots of sights to explore. Breakfast was served in the wonderfully quirky dining room. Arrival of food and coffee was a little disjointed, so croissants and bread arrived well after coffee. However, overall it was very charming. There is a free public car park with CCTV about 100 metres away, which is very handy
Cons: The building is a genuine 16th centuary house, with many original features, including a very rustic staircase up to the bedrooms - almost a ladder in places! This could be difficult if you had heavy luggage, or were infirm. Checking in was unusual, between 17.00 and 20.30, as there is nobody available on site outside those hours, so unexpected early / late arrival is difficult but there are several cafes in the close vicinity to while away the time if you are early.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners very helpful and friendly. Very characterful and charming hotel.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is run by Thomas (who speaks good English) and his father, with passion and care. We asked for vegetables in breakfast , and the next day on they were part of breakfast The location is great as well!
Cons: There was some problem with the hot water is the bathroom (going on and off), which they said they work on. For old people, the staircase might be a bit challenging (we did not mind it)

Pros: This is a fantastic old coaching inn which has been beautifully restored by the owners. The bedroom was wonderful and atmospheric with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent with home made yoghurt, jams and cake and good coffee. I would stay there again without a doubt and have already recommended it to friends.

The TV included a number of English Channels including CNBC, CNN and Bloomberg. We found it a good base for visiting Loire Valley Chateaux, Loches itself is very old but not very exciting!!

Cons: Front room very noisy and curtains were very dusty
7.5 Good
Pros: Quiet, close to town, but not too close
Cons: It’s getting a little tired but that is reflected in the price.
7.5 Good
Cons: Breakfast not included
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Yes the bed was very comfortable and breakfast delicious
Cons: The hot water was a little too hot!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We actually saw two bedrooms as we were given the wrong one at first. Both were freshly decorated to a high standard with good shower rooms. The free public parking is located behind the hotel and the town is a short walk away. Breakfast was mostly self service and gave plenty of choice. Reception is officially closed until 5:30pm. We were allowed in early as someone else was leaving.
Cons: We were sent to the second floor up a twisting stone medieval staircase with our suitcases. So difficult and dangerous for two septuagenarians When we got to the room it was not what we had booked. By the time we got back down to reception it was closed again. Having moved to the first floor finally, we discovered a normal staircase which we used for all future up and down. So much safer but intended for staff use we think !
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good food quality at lunch
Cons: Poor food quality at Dinner
5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Restaurant shut ,given double room despite booking twin overlooking noisy street although hotel virtually empty Nowhere to park
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location to centre an old hotel in the heart of Loches - evening dinner was very nice.
Cons: The bedroom is in need of redecoration, the bedroom door was difficult to open and lock. The breakfast was basic WITHOUT CROISSANTS, coffee was warm, staff not very welcoming, and need to be obliging without it feeling to guests that it's too much trouble.

Pros: Great meal in restaurant, comps to chef. Nice room, friendly staff, excellent location
Cons: Couldn’t fault it
7.9 Good
Pros: We were returning back to UK after hiking in the Pyrenees and decided to break our trip in Loches. The hotel was just off the road to Tours and close to the scenic medieval centre of the town (about 15 minutes walk), where there are nice bars and restaurants. The room was small, but good value for money, particularly with the free access to the swimming pool and the internet access in the main building. We were able to park our car just outside our room in the Annex. The staff were friendly and helpful and made a restaurant booking for us. We chose to eat in the town in the evening and left early the next day to avoid the traffic.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff were so lovely! The location is good, we used it as a base to commute to see things nearby we wanted to see. The lights are on a timer in the hall, and took us a while to notice - initially we thought they were not working but this was our own mistake. The terrace out the back of the restaurant/bar is a lovely place to have a drink and it is a plane-watchers heaven with loads of planes (they are high up so its not noisy!).
Cons: The pool and sauna facilities are basic. Changing room is small.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The air-conditioning in the room was very welcome, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious and clean. The pool was delightful and the views from the grounds over Loches very attractive.
Cons: The eating experience in the restaurant was disappointing due mainly to the unfriendly, unwelcoming attitude of the waiter. (This did not apply to the female staff who were friendly and professional.) Breakfast was bland and tasteless and the brioche actually off.
