Nothing at all
No smiles no greetings no assistance from staffs at all. Breakfast below hyatt standards. Surrounding retail shop all closed. Nothing can be experienced as a hyatt managed resort. Garden and landscape not manged. After check in, we were driven by buggy and was dumped at room block. No luggage service or introduction of the room. Absolutely not worth paying the rate
Great value for money especially the buffet evening meal. Lovely surrounding area and helpful friendly staff.
Missing soap in the powder room.
Need to mark all the food in English. Specially for Muslim its very important to know which food they are taking. Other all the facilities are awesome.
The food here was varied, well-cooked and all round wonderful. We loved the buffet restaurant, especially the fresh fish counter and the Chinese area where the friendly chefs whizzed up really tasty local noodle dishes for us on request. The breakfast choice is vast and the western-style bacon is as perfectly cooked as the Chinese baozi. Cleanliness is Hyatt-high. The rooms are exceptionally well-appointed (with ironing boards and decent hairdryers). Staff are super-warm, helpful and speak good English. The pool is big, perfect for swimming lengths, and the jacuzzis (separated by gender) are decently-sized. There's also a good gym.
I liked everything and was tempted to give this hotel a perfect 10 but knocked a point off for location just because we like to walk everywhere. If you want a resort hotel that gives you peace and quiet, the location of this hotel is perfect, with views of the snow mountain and an idyllic setting. However, you will need a taxi to access Lijiang old town (the hotel is much closer to the pretty Shuhe ancient town) and it's a decent taxi ride to the train station (around half an hour depending on traffic). We walked to the old town but it wasn't a pretty walk, better to drive to the (many) pretty areas and do your walking there. That said, taxis in China are cheap and plentiful, and there was a constant stream at the hotel. Shuhe is walkable and is very pretty, well worth a visit for souvenirs or a tea stop (new tourist infrastructure is currently being built).
Breakfast was marvelous. Location is good. The all design for interior and exterior is super.
