The room was not clean we had to go out of the room so they can clean
The hotel charge us so much money for parking i could park out side of the hotel for less than 50%
Zorba the Greek was very handsome, as was Ameer the Arab. I did like them, they were especially helpful when I lost the Shabbos key, up Zorba's backside. The food is nothing to write home about, infact lousy is the word I would choose. This is the second time I have stayed here, and they really need to bring in a Masterchef. When I mentioned to the people at reception how dreadful the food was they agreed with me, and said that none of the staff eat there because the food is atrocious. Get the French guy to tasted it, it is bloody awful. I do not want to offend the Chef, but maybe he needs stronger lenses.
The breakfast was excellent - best eggs benedict ever. The digital lifts were fun and convenient. Room and bathroom were well appointed We liked the bottle of water in the room and the newspapers.
We felt for the price we might have had some fruit or chocolate/biscuits in the room. The digital lighting was a tad difficult for us oldies as it entailed getting out our glasses each time to read the labels. We were glad there was a switch for one of the night lights but it wasn't super easy to reach. We found it a bit odd that neither the bathroom, nor the toilet which was in a cubicle inside the bathroom, could be locked. Perhaps we are old-fashioned.
The design and artictexure was magnificent.
Would like to see more deversity with different cultures
Great hotel- close to the Old City Jaffa Gate
This is a beautiful hotel in an elegant old building that was completely redone to creat the hotel. Courteous and helpful staff. Concierge services were excellent. Rooms are large and well furnished. Ten minute walk to the Jaffa Gate of the old city. Breakfast was included and was excellent.
I-PAD provided in the room for hotel services never worked, even with repeated calls and IT requests.
