Pros: The staff did its best to help with room issues, and we appreciated that. The terrace was really pretty.
Cons: The breakfast was really bad. Our toilet was broken and we had to take off the lid and pull up the chain in order to flush. Wifi was spotty at best. The room could have benefited from a ceiling fan as there was no air conditioning (which I don't really care about) and the standing fan was inadequate against the heat. The terrace was lovely but hot, and smelled of detergent. There was no drink service, no ice, or refrigeration, so while we were invited to take our own beverages upstairs, that was not a realistic option.
Villa Sueño Azul is located 10 minutes' walk from Guanajuato's historic centre. It offers free Wi-Fi, free continental breakfast and free tea, coffee and bottled water. Bajio International Airport is a 30-minute drive away Rooms at Villa Sueño Azul are set around a bright interior patio and are decorated with handmade furniture. Each room has a fan, an alarm clock, reading lamps and a private bathroom. The Sueño Azul’s lounge has satellite TV, and you can also enjoy the sun on the hotel’s terrace. The property is just 100 metres from Embajadoras Park. Guanajuato’s Juárez Theatre and Jardín De La Unión Square are within 10 minutes’ walk of the Villa Sueño.

Set around the quiet Plaza Mexiamora, Zopilote Mojado has a colourful café. The bright, colonial-style rooms and apartments are in 3 buildings, 2 of which have a roof terrace with wonderful views over Guanajuato. Rhis property can only be accessed on foot. Rooms at the Zopilote Mojado have an iPod dock and a private bathroom. Apartments with a private kitchen, lounge and bathroom are available in the Infierno building. Some rooms have a balcony overlooking the square. El Zopilote Mojado is situated in a pedestrian area of Guanajuato’s historic centre. Jardín de la Unión and Juárez Theatre are only 150 metres away. Staff at the Zopilote are happy to provide local area information. They can also arrange transfers to Bajío Airport, at an extra cost.

Pros: Unique building with great views of the city. Very central location and easy to walk to POI. It was also wonderful being able to "valet" the car as parking is very limited with in the center of the town.

Pros: Located in the hearth of Guanajuato, besides Juarez Theater. Walking distance from everything. Clean rooms. They have an Italian Restaurant in the second floor which is good.
Cons: At night is noisy area, ask for a room as deep in the hotel as you can, away from the front street. We didn't have a problem with the noise because we stay up late at the bars, but if you go to bed early can be a problem. Get a pair of ear plugs just in case.

Pros: Location, Clean facility
Cons: We Had 3 rooms. one in Good conditions, the second one with a lique at the air conditioner that was droping the water in the carpet, we asked to fix it and they never did. Those 2 rooms were in a new building at the 5fth floor The third Room was at the end of a long corridor in an old building, and had a lot of problems like they did not had light at the shower, the air condinioner was not working and the key did not work correctly. We asked to repair and they did after 2 days.

Cons: Located far away from downtown (on the panoramic ring road circling high above downtown) the location is a 15 minute walk downhill through unsafe neighbourhoods. A taxi is required to return to the hotel at night. The doors of the rooms are made of metal and do not block out sound- you can hear anything that happens in the hallways. It is more like a roadside hotel. We booked it because it was the last one available on Holy Week- other than for high season, there are much better hotels located far closer to the main attractions.
