friendly staff, no sand in the room
dark corners, window didn't close proper, roomdoor couldn't be locked from the inside, terrible noise all night from a machine
We had plumbing problems in our first given room. The cold tap was discharging hot water and the water had alarming brown discolouration. After complaining to the receptionist, we were moved to a new room. Unfortunately the new given room had some plumbing problems too, the water had same discolouration and the sink was blocked and the water wasn’t going down, we reported the problem to receptionist and was told they will sort the problem out by the time we returned from Blankenberge. Unfortunately not only they didn’t sort the problem out but also did not any leave any message(s) for us regarding any work they’ve done to resolve the problem out. Extremely poor workmanship and service. We were badly let down by this property. We will never recommend this property to anyone. We are sending a complaint letter to the manager of the property/company. A horror story indeed.
Excellent location: close to both the beach and the nearby nature reserve. Very good base for walks. Good that there was parking on the premisses.
Playgrounds behind the building and large meeting rooms. Close to the beach and tram station. However facing main road with constant noise. Breakfast was OK.
Located next to the main road with 4 lanes & tram tracks - constant noise. Large Camping site located right behind the building. A stream of waste water running behind the building - problematic during the summer due to bad odours & mosquitoes Old, filthy and outdated building, rooms. Not three stars at all....2* at the most. Filthy windows- probably weren’t cleaned for years. Carpets on the floors, smells like dust. No air conditioning in the rooms, in the building in general. Fridge was not working and it was dirty. Toilet was leaking. No privacy since all the doors have a bottom grid where you can hear everything going on in the room. They don’t welcome you with a smile and explanation about the hotel but the first thing you show up is they ask you to pay. If you are asking too many questions they get irritated. Overpriced and overrated.
Uncomfortable beds. Dirty bathrooms and in one of them the sink was not working.
