Liked the agent at pick-up. They said I'd get a RAM Rebel, but I got the Classic 1500, no running boards, no bed-liner, no push-button ignition (kinda hard to get used to inserting keys), but it did have SiriusXM.Reviewed 14 Mar 2023

The representative at the office is very mischievous. While I was there she called someone to let her know she forgot her driver's license. My mind I said let me make sure she gives me all my credit cards and license back. I asked her for the key for the car she told me she gave it to me I said no you didn't she said yes she did. I walked to the car search my purse and I had no keys. I walked back to the office to get the key then the guy came out and said he had it this is a game they play. When I went back to turn the car in I stopped and got $5 of gas. The representative asked me did I want a receipt and I said yes she said oh I have to take this fee off it'll only take a second. And I said what fee she said the fee for not putting gas I said I put gas she said I know that's why I'm going to take it off. I said why would you put it on there if you didn't know if I put gas or not she said well I could track you and see you then go anywhere so I assume you didn't put gas I said why would you assume. She said she tracked my car and said I didn't go anywhere and I said if you track my car you start putting gas. Again it's my belief if I had not asked for a receipt she would have added an extra charge on my bill when I asked for a receipt she knew that I would recognize her overcharging me for something I didn't get. Louie, the manager, is awesome. Avis is always great, never gives me any issues, accepts my debit card with an out of state DL, I'm military so that works out well. The check-in process is so easy and not cumbersome or complicated. Additionally, I needed to extend my rental agreement another week; too easy. I called them up and Louie helped me once again and made it a smooth event. Plus, it was the cheapest I could find that wouldn't charge me hundreds of dollars in additional fees. I received a great 4-door, nice rental car too. Never ever had any issues with Avis. I'm a loyal customer FOR-EVER.Reviewed 3 Feb 2023

The entire process was great except for the initial pick up. Took way too long, que of about 10 people and the line moved painfully slowly. Perhaps I am spoiled, but I'm a 10 year member of Hertz Gold and I'm used to getting my vehicle within seconds. This was a chance to get me to switch loyalties, but losing almost an hour just to the "get the vehicle" process put a quash on that idea.Reviewed 23 Oct 2022

The pickup was okay except that they did not explain about some of the features on the auto, and they did not offer to set the Sirius radio. The car was clean. The only real problem was that there was very little acceleration while trying to merge onto the freeway, However, the drop off at the agency on south I37 at Military Road in San Antonio was very disappointing. The office is located in a busy shopping mall, and when I arrived, there was no parking anywhere near the office and no signage indicating where to park the return vehicles. Therefore, I parked in a parking space as close as I could to the front door since I use a cane and it is difficult for me to walk on some pavement areas. The manager informed me that I could not leave the car parked where it was, and that I had to move it to the back of the building. When I asked if his fellow employee could move it for me, I was informed that they could/would not. This was a real example of poor customer service. There should at least be some type of sign indicating where to park the return vehicles, and a little effort of their part to move my vehicle would have been appreciated. He showed no consideration for my slight disability, only a "so what" kind of attitude.Reviewed 16 Oct 2022
