The hotel was easy to find and it was important for me as I’m not a frequent traveller. The room had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. A nice touch was the Nespresso Coffee machine with pods. The hotel during my stay seemed very quiet.
During my communication with the hotel, I asked if it was possible to have the breakfast a bit earlier, to which they replied that it should be, but when it actually was time to ask the cook, he was not that keen on doing that. Of course, officially the breakfast is from 8 o’clock. I would have no problem with this if they wouldn’t have told me prevously that it should be possible.
OMG the Pancake!
Me and my partner had an amazing time in Amistad Hotel, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location was very close to the centre. Klaus, the host, makes breakfast to the guests in the morning and we tried his cheese and ham omelette and also the pancakes, they were amazing!! We would definitely go again there if we’re in Amsterdam
Pretty cold and unwelcoming lobby - there might have been a few chairs, something with a bit of warmth and style None of that. Cold, functional, empty, nobody ever there. Heavens, surely there should have been BBC or CNN on the TV. One or two infantile English channels only. Useless it was, terrible. Noisy - wow, they need double glazing or something. And a curtain to keep out the light.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Amazing breakfast! Especially the pancake
