Expensive for an overnight stay
everything. Have been to other 4 sister inns
A good location. Nice breakfasts, with different cooked dishes each day. Light and comfortable front lounge with tea & coffee always available. On site parking.
I was travelling with my mother, who is elderly, and has mobility issues. I had booked an ADA accessible room for her. Through a booking misunderstanding, I ended up with a ridiculously huge room for one person (UK readers please note, a double room here means a a room with TWO double beds.) My only request to the property was that our rooms should be close together, in case my mum should fall or have other problems in the night. I was told by email that this was OK, but found on arrival that our rooms were in different buildings. I was in the annexe, across from the car park from the main building. From 9pm until 7am each night there are are no staff on site. We were only informed of this, by text, at 4pm on the day of our arrival - far too late to make alternative arrangements. One morning, my mum was anxious that she couldn’t reach me by phone, as she had no signal on her mobile. She navigated stairs and car park by herself. Luckily this was at breakfast time, when there were folks around, and not in the middle of the night, when if she’d fallen she would have laid where she fell until morning! The staff tried to be helpful, but as the hotel was fully booked they couldn’t provide more suitable rooms. They made an adjustment to our bill, which was kind, but our stay was not quite the relaxed end to our trip that I had hoped. This would be a lovely place for a couple who wanted to explore the area, but it wasn’t right for us, and I feel that we were not given full information at the time that I made the booking.
Location is great, with access to the square, shops, restaurants.
Breakfast went from 8AM-10AM. I wish it could have gone a little longer--I never made it to breakfast.
Everything was perfect and staff were so helpful.
