The staff were exceptionally nice. The room was spotless. We requested a quiet room on arrival and were given a different room from the one assigned to us. I was very impressed. The breakfast was excellent.
I didn’t particularly like the bar. It’s open and drafty. It’s not cozy or intimate and the furniture is big and clunky. I thought the selection of beers could have been better. Also the condensation extractor in the bathroom in Room 112 wasn’t working. I forgot to report it.
N/A Location good
Friendly staff lovely clean hotel club lounge a real bonus worth paying the extra for snacks and drinks free and alcohol for 2 hours in the evening (check times though it changes) swimming pool and gym excellent .
Key cards stopped working several times and they were no where near our phones .
Nice modern, clean and staff were very nice.
Bathroom was a bit outdated the shower wasn’t the best
We've stayed at the Crowne Plaza many times because we have always enjoyed the facilities at the hotel. If we don't get the executive room, we usually pay the supplement to use the executive lounge and get a few drinks in there plus some hot snacks which we've enjoyed in the past.
When we got to our room, I found that I couldn't close the bathroom door, it just kept getting stuck. Not ideal as the toilet is right by the door. (Also the toilet had been used and not flushed by whoever was in the room before us). I contacted reception and with some force the receptionist was able to close the door, but not without using force and causing it to slam - so not great for us nor for the rooms on either side of us. I asked if we could move but was told the hotel was full. The receptionist gave us a token for 2 free drinks as a gesture of good will. Breakfast at the hotel has been a bit disastrous the last 3 times now. Tables not cleared, missing cutlery, cups, and food at the buffet not very hot. It's a shame really as it used to be really spot on. If we return, we'll try the breakfast in the exec lounge, but the choice in there is more limited.
