Pros (+) The hotel looks great on the website - very high-end, ultra modern. It is ideally located near the University of Iowa campus and in the heart of the downtown nightlife. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops are nearby. Parking is conveniently located next door (although the daily rate was a bit of a surprise).
Cons (-) While the reality is similar to the photos, the hotel is showing some signs of use and a lack of high standards. The front desk experience was fine, but the attendant was seated behind a low desk (rather than the counter) which required the guests to be seated while checking in. The front desk attendant also was responsible for taking room reservations while simultaneously taking care of guests. W...

Pros (+) The staff at Hotel Vetro were extremely friendly and accommodating. We travelled to Iowa City for a wedding, and we were able to get into our room 4 hours head of check-in time in order to get ready for the event! The room was amazing and the bed divine. We will definitely be returning to Vetro on our next trip!
