They didn’t even have a car for me. I had to go to a different location and they tried to charge me with thousand dollars more. I love getting it talk down to a lower price but it was still over $100 more than the price I’m supposed to pay.Reviewed 25 Sep 2023

We were given a car that had a bad wheelbearing and they refused to replace the car. They didn't honor the second driver added and gave her a bad time even though she had all the paperwork on her. It took several calls and days for us to get a new car. This made the trip longer, ran into weather and had to pay them more money to extend the rental. It is a huge safety issue and most of the people we spoke to at Hertz was very lackadaisical. Would any of them let a loved one drive a car like that? The sound it made couldn't even be drowned out with the radio. There were a couple employees that I got that went above what they could. Roadside couldn't even get a car replaced for us because management wouldn't approve it. It was just absurd. I will never use Hertz or one of their other companies again knowing that they do not care about their clients safety. Ordering through Kayak was easy and great.Reviewed 28 Dec 2021

I arrived at hertz and they told me they had no cars available. I told them I had a reservation. They said sorry they have nothing. I told them I had a reservation they didn’t care. I had used an Uber to get to this location. So I didn’t have a ride to another location to rent a car. I asked them if they could arrange for a car at another one of their locations. I was told to inquire on my own their was nothing they could do to help. I asked them if they could get me a ride to another location they told me no. Customer Service at its best! I ended up paying for another Uber to the airport in Sacramento. Which cost me another $44. I made sure not to rent from hertz. Nobody said sorry or tried to make anything right ????? Pros:Drop off was easy.Cons:Staff wasn’t very friendly, complained that we weren’t sharp on time and she said she hoped she still had a car left for us although we had already paid. Proceeded to act surprise that there was a car left and didn’t even say which model or if same size that we had paid for. No information regarding vehicle and then said they would need to clean it now. Was a very quick clean. Probably not up to current standards. Also if cars are just standing around, wouldn’t they have had time to clean them?Reviewed 4 Mar 2021

Cons:Disappointed with payment, wanted to use my Business debit card but was forced to use credit card. I had to use my personal credit card when I wanted to use for business. When I asked if I could switch payment on the return they said no because I paid in full.Reviewed 26 Feb 2019
