Excellent except that airport office didn’t open until 8 am and we arrived at 7. Also, they had misplaced our reservation so it meant that the agent had to work it out. He did that nicely but it took a while, causing us and those in the long line to wait a very long time. So, excellent agent and car but poor agency service.Reviewed 23 Jun 2026

I cancelled the car because my wife got laid off on a job she was working out of town and came home with our second vehicle I called 5 days in advance but they still charged me almost half of the original cost after giving me the run around for over 2 hours I didn't have a good experience and don't like being ripped off for something that was beyond my controlReviewed 23 Jun 2026

The customer service at the Marriott in downtown Portland was poor. It was a long wait to pick up our rental, and nobody was there or answered the phone when dropping off our rental. It was difficult to pick up/drop off downtown, as it was in a parking garage in a different building from where you check in for the rental. I had got what I thought was a fair deal for the price. I purposely requested a Ford Edge or equivalent. My brother had to pick the car up because we had flight delays. He was told that a ‘similar’ car would be a Toyota Corolla, etc. No go. We have four adults and luggage. The only vehicle he could get that was ‘similar’ was a Jeep Wrangler. Not a direct comparison. It did fit our luggage, but that vehicle is designed for off-road and a little highway: Seats are uncomfortable (my wife has bruises on her thigh trying to get out of back seat ), poor visibility (huge sensor on center of windsheild), poor gas mileage (18mpg at best). I reserved a full sized car and was given a giant raised truck. They said this was the only option. So for my 500 mile trip I had to drive something that gave 12 miles to the gallon. What's the point of a reservation if it's not reserved...Reviewed 22 Jun 2026
