Had to wait in line for two hours to get the car due to Hertz management and operational failures. Cars were not cleaned as they were delivered to the location by Hertz late (typically Hertz drops off the night before, but in this case they were dropped off the same morning). Further, only two employees were working when typical staff is 3-4 people (the manager stated that they knew they had over 40 reservations to fill that morning). Apparently Hertz management fired two people at the location earlier in the week without having substitute staff ready. Despite having booked two weeks in advance (and having pre-paid) my ordered car type was not available. The manager at the location refused any sort of compensation for Hertz's multiple failures on management and operational levels. Syrupy sweet words do not cover mismanagement and the cost in time that I incurred. Enterprise has been a better outfit on every occasion. It is no accident that the stock is near all-time lows, they have serious problems at Hertz.Reviewed 31 Oct 2022

They did not have my car available at my pick up time and told me I would have to wait 2 hours. I asked for some sort of compensation and they refused. I had sadly already paid for my rental. I called customer service at Hertz and they were rude and refused to let me speak to their supervisor. There were about 20 angry people waiting for cars when I finally left with a vehicle. They overbook and don't have vehicles available to meet their obligations and ruin people's vacations.Reviewed 16 Aug 2022

I left one of my personal belongings in the rental car after drop-off. When I realized it, I called the Hertz in Brooklyn and they were very helpful and communicative. When I arrived, they pulled the car around and helped me find the item I left behind, I really appreciate the help.Reviewed 9 Aug 2022

Check-in was terrible. No one wanted to help, there were two guys just on their phones for twenty minutes and one person apathetically helping each guest check-in. When I dropped of the vehicle I had refilled the gas tank to full, but was charged a $72 refueling fee and my receipt said that the gas tank was on half, which was a lie. I also had to wait ten minutes just to hand my keys off to the customer service rep because he was ignoring customers.Reviewed 26 Jun 2022
