Breakfast until 930 & location to wedding venue Small bathroom
Not much Smelled, bath tub wouldn't drain, light shades broken and old
Good location, excellent price, great breakfast, courteous staff The mattress was worn out and uncomfortable.
The location to my personal destinations The entire property is unstaffed and spread too thin to accommodate the occupancy during my 8 day stay. Breakfast area was not clean and never a suffice amount of food to support the guest. The outside propert lights in the parking were burned out or never turned on even after I advised the Manger or General Manager of the unsafe conditions at night. The staff although very friendly had the "not my job, go tell it someone else" attitude. Too many times we had to go off site for the "Free Breakfast" included in our pricing. Housekeeping was always it or miss, to inconsistent for a property like this. I would not recommend this property for a stay in this area. Too many other options available until this Hotel makes some changes or trains additional stakeholders.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast (the mini omeletes were a nice surprise), very comfortable room, good location in Destin. This is the forth or fifth time we have stayed here and we always have a good experience. Just like the last time we stayed here last year, the toilet paper is really horrible--just falls apart. But this time we brought our own TP, and so problem solved.
Staff was great Location was good Price was good Room is good not great but it was great for a quick two day trip Overall I will stay here again! The breakfast isn't good Need more options
The hotel was very clean and the bed was super comfy. I would stay there again when I visit Destin next time.
Location, towels, vending machines, price, TV and channel selection, pillows Greeted by a faint smelly odor in the room as if the guest before us was still there. Made us uneasy about the quality of the cleaning that was done.
I got such a great deal on the room! I loved that it had a pool and hot tub. I didn't use them this trip, but maybe I will on another one. The bed and bedding were great! The Wolfgang coffee was so much better than the usual hotel coffee! The stains on the carpet. It looked clean though.
I liked how close it was to everything. No balcony from the room.
Friendly staff & excellent breakfast Mattress had soft spot on one side as if the springs had failed.
Breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs and sausage were a nice surprise. Orange juice was bit watered down but drinkable. Coffee was very good. Room was comfortable and smelled clean. Slept very well. Not enough table/shelf space for our stuff. A little extra table would have been nice. The toilet paper they are using is absolutely horrible!!!
Everything was perfect Checkout time was early!
Love the close proximity to the beach and great things for kids to do! We come every year and love sundestin. Bar and restaurant are great, and we love the service on the beach! Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Only complaint was at check in they told us the door to the balcony was broken and maintenance would be by to fix it. The door handle was completely off, and there was no way to secure the door. If my husband and I were traveling without our five year old it would have been no issue. Maintenance never showed to fix the door at all during our stay.
I liked everything about the resort. It was in very good location to the malls, restaurants, grocery stores. Whatever you needed wasn't far at all. Everyone was super nice at the resort & made you feel welcomed. We will moat definitely stay here again!
Location is great, the resort is beautiful it is within walking distance of a lot of nice places. Hidden charges, I was charged about $180 over my bill no one could really tell me what it was for beside taxes. If I had known that I would have never stayed at the Resort, that is crazy. I stayed my first and last stay there. It is nice just can't stand $180 in hidden charges.
The location was excellent, right on the beach. Room was clean and comfortable, and the view was wonderful. Would have liked to stay longer, but had to leave for prior commitments.
rooms were large and comfortable. Beds were very good. Beach view was great, shopping and golf nearby was a plus. satellite tv was down Friday evening so unable to watch television
I like the size of the room and the staff was great! The only thing that made is not as good was the floor was wet and we had to wear shoes while on the carpet because our feet would get sticky from the carpet and dirty. The toliet was dirty and there was some mold arounf the bath tub.
Our oceanfront suite was very impressive! It was modern, comfortable and romantic. It met all our needs!
Location In room safe and refrigerator were not operable and had to be replaced. Upholstered furniture is stained.
Clean easy to get around They hogged the beach with there pricey umbrellas and didn't let us into the gym because we had a child with us therefor we couldn't work out the stay because we had a child.
High cost of room service for basic items
Staff very helpful. Clean facilities.
Everyone was really nice and it's a great location for the pricing The gym was a little too simple
I paid $110 (taxes included) for a suite that would've cost me at least $150 at a more popular chain. The room resembled an Embassy Suites with a TV in both the living area and the bedroom. I will definitely be back!! There was nothing not to like.
If you want a resort or luxury stay, not the place. If you want a hotel priced fairly and on the main road, this is it. Pros: renovated, fairly priced, friendly, conveniently located, full cable TV (not limited chain hotel programming). This hotel is recently renovated and looks nice. It isn't a luxury resort, so don't expect the bells and whistles of one. Check in was easy and the staff is very friendly. Room is exactly as I expected, new and comfy. I had no issues with the hotel or room. The bed is comfy enough but not the best there is, like a 4-5 star Hilton. But it is not cheap like a Motel 6. The bathroom looks nice, but the shower has a cheaper feel to it. None of these shortcomings is a deal breaker. The only bad area I experienced was hallway noise traveled into the room very easy. It sounded like my door was open and I was part of the conversation. Turing on the AC fan helped the issue but didn't solve if. Breakfast is complimentary and offers hot and continental offerings. Seating is limited, and I suggest arriving before 8am as everyone tries to eat after 8. If you want to go to the beach, don't walk. It is a little far and carrying everything will be tiring. I suggest going to Henderson State Park. Best beach in the area! And its across the highway from the hotel. The hotel is located in a good spot and easy to locate. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Destin for a bargain price. If you are willing to spend more, then get the hotel with the resort feel and resort price. Cons: hallway noise can be heard, small TV, not beach accessible.
The beach access is great. Beach umbrellas and chairs are great. Beach staff very helpful. Pool is nice. The location is great. I checked in with my family, we went to the room. Once I opened the door I was hit with a musty smell, come to find out it is due to the leaking toilet. I will tell you more of that in a bit. After putting up the luggage, my wife went into the bathroom and found some one else's clothes in there!! I am not sure how house keeping cleaned a room and left clothes hanging on the back door you can not miss it, it is a tiny bathroom. At this point my trust in a clean room is gone, how do I know if the sheets were changed or the rest of the room cleaned up. The main door to the room did not close tightly it is loose when you touch it, this made my family feel unsafe, the backdoor handle is also very loose (about to fall off), again not feeling safe compounded by the not feeling clean. I used the phone to call the front desk and complain and handset did not work, It only worked using conference speaker. As for the toilet the floor kept getting puddles, the toilet was leaking from the base, I had to place towels around it to keep from my kids and myself stepping into leaky toilet water and transferring to the rest of the room. I tried to talk with the manager that night but she was not in and the front desk staff told me "they can send a tech that night to see if they can fix it or wait until the morning to talk with the manager" (I had just driven 8 hours from Orland heading home to Texas, I did not want to stay up half the night with a tech in the room). I went the next morning to talk with the manager and was told she would not be in until noon or so. By this time I had given up - I was only staying two nights and wanted to enjoy the beach before getting no the road for 11 hours heading home. I will definitely not go back there. I stayed at a Hampton Inn on the beach in Biloxi for only $80 and it was great. I spent more than $225 a night at this place that carries a great name Wyndham. Wyndham Management should be aware of their rooms and have them fixed. On a last note, my children got to see a drunk man escorted out of the pool in the evening while families were watching Zootopia on the Pool screen, that was eye opener for them as well as for many other guests that night.
Location was nice as well as the pool with beach access. The staff was friendly. Everything was good except that I had to call twice and go to the front desk to request them reset the wifi. None of our devices would connect and everytime I called, they said they would send someone up right away to fix it. The day we checked out they finally fixed it.
The beach access was great, we really enjoyed waking up to a beautiful day right in front of the ocean. The pools were also a favorite to my family. They had activities every day for my young children to do, and they had plenty room for everyone to feel comfortable and not too tight. The access to the free beach chairs and umbrella were a wonderful addition. They also had free bike rentals. I wasn't satisfied with my room location. I was told i was getting an oceanfront room with a private balcony ( which we did) however, it was on the third floor and we could barely see the beach above the sand dunes. I would recommend to get a room from the 4th floor and above if you really want a beach view.
Breakfast not included
The resort was right on the beach, but there are literally dozens of other resorts right on the beach so that's not saying much We killed one cockroach and saw another. The wifi never worked in our room. The bed was like sleeping on cement with a downy layer on top and worst of all, when we told the front desk about these problems (twice!) they said I needed to talk to a manager who wasn't there the first time and didn't even care the second. Not accountable for their failures AT ALL! There are literally dozens of other hotels nearby I would never stay there again.
We had a patio that was beach view when we opened the door we could hear the ocean waves roll up on beach. Great hotel for family: the beach is beautiful great pools & hot tub. The restaurant had great food & they had movies you can use for free. We will be back. We had a great time!
Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed.
The staff was very friendly and the hotel was right in the water. We had a balcony with a view of the pool and ocean. They also had a movie rental section where the movies were new and free. We went over to Destin which isn't far at all and the water was so much prettier and the nightlife was much better. I'm the future, I will probably stay in Destin for those reasons which the hotel has little control over.
Our over all experience was great! The room we had was in the 300 range, which is closer to the view of the pool. Hence it's loud if you have small children it will be loud at night til 10pm when the pool closed. I recommend the family with kids or early sleeper get the higher floor. Our room was loud so the representative in the front was so nice and awesome. Her name is Morgan and she is friendly and helpful. She helped us get a room with less noise. All and all we enjoyed our stayed and it was good Mimi vacation we had. Not much disk-like depending on your lifestyle and what to expect.
I liked that the rooms has a DVD player, refrigerator, and a microwave. The lobby will amenities like DVD rentals (free of charge) and the workout center. The large heated pool was nice, because the weather was so cold and gloomy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, but there was some thing dated about the color and layout. It was muggy in the room, and you had a choice of making it extra cold, and the mugginess was gone, or room temperature with all the mugginess. The rooms facing the big pool had nice views, but they crank up the music at 9:30 (even on a Saturday) and it doesn't end until 10pm at night, so no sleeping in or taking a nap during the day here.
We are a young family with a 3 year old and a 5 month old and decided to take a weekend trip last minute. A lot of surrounding hotels were booked full so we went with the Wyndham and it all worked out. Our first room was on the ground floor and unfortunately had some small roaches. After voicing our concerns, the Management quickly rectified the situation by offering us another room. The second room was very clean and had everything we needed. The hotel offers two pools, (one with a small waterslide for the kids), free DVD rentals with a current selection, free chairs and umbrella on the beach, an arcade, and a gym. Our 3 year old had so much to do she didn't want to leave. We watched a pod of dolphins from the balcony and enjoyed our time at the beach before leaving. They also let us use the pool for the rest of the day after we checked out. Overall, I would say minus the setback of the first room it was a perfect stay. The staff and management were above and beyond helpful in taking care of all our needs.
Right on the beach! View was beautiful! The rooms on each end are on the outside of the building because the stairs wrap around. We had one of those rooms....and since it is actually outside I guess the weather or humidity has made the door have a big gap (killed a roach while we were in there ~gross!) also our refrigerator did not work. (Also downstairs by the bar and pool area the trashcans have a bunch of roaches!)
I liked the beds! and the view on the harbor side was nice. Breakfast wasn't bad either. Lobby area and staff were very friendly. The bathroom was dirty!! Old soap and dirty towels were left in there along with some suspect curly hairs.. Also they didn't bother to check the coffee pot. where it looked like a full pot had been sitting for who knows how long.
Now my review is based on knowing this is an older Hotel and staying here several years ago. I'm not sure how long ago but they remodeled the Harbor side rooms with hard wood floors, the beds were surprisingly very comfortable, and a nice touch to an older hotel. We stayed here mainly for the Harbor view of the New Years Eve fire works. It's in the western part of Destin. Staff was very friendly!
Good location that's convenient to numerous points of interest in Destin. Enjoyed the option of the pool or the private beach that was on the harbor. I appreciate the fact parking was available without issue despite the fact the hotel was sold out. An older property that definitely shows its age. Bathroom area was cozy with older fixtures. Furniture was worn to the point that it should have been replaced. Beds had some mileage on them. Despite the convenient location, I'm not sure I would stay here again unless the price was more reflective of the age and size of the rooms?
The desk staff was friendly in all cases but one but he seems less interested in us as customers. Then on the other hand one young man was great and very cooperative. The bathroom facilities in the rooms were very confining for two people. Great place to just relax and nice location. The bathroom was tiny.. Traffic was hard to safely exist at times. The facility is older but well kept. The continental breakfast was lacking. The facility was great but breakfast was a bust.
Upon arrival our reservation couldn't be found. Eventually we received a different room and accepted after traveling all day. After 5 minutes of being in the room, I called and cancelled the rest of the stay due to how dirty the rooms were. Still haven't seen my refund for the cancelled nights!
location could walk everywhere on the harbor Had to leave and pick up daughter at airport . Sea Food Fest. visitors had taken over parking lot and we had to park one half mile and walk to INN with baggage and back to get car in moring
Great view of the bay! It's walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. You can wake up, go to your balcony and watch boats leave the harbour. Staff was great. The building is from the 50's. It's not in bad shape cause it's been remodeled to fit in but if you are looking for super schnazzy, this might not be for you.
Nothing at all, needs updating!everything Everything...
Location was great. We were in walking distance to the boardwalk. We brought a kayak and paddle board and put in at the hotel and paddled around the harbor. The staff was very friendly. They have done some renovations to make the room and property more modern. Enjoyed the balcony overlooking water. It's an older property and while they have done some updating, it's still has a way to go. The bathroom tub and commode were old making it feel dirty even though it wasn't and it was very small. It was fine for one or two nights but I probably wouldn't want to stay there longer. The breakfast was ok. It was cereal, muffins, yogurt, choice of breads and pastries and instant oatmeal. Wasn't great but wasn't terrible either. I would stay again.
This hotel was awesome!!! Staffing made it even greater, they took such good care of us while staying for our honeymoon. Will we visit again, of course! They even gave us postcards to mail to our parents & guest - outstanding! Breakfast was good, just add real breakfast meat.
The view and location was great. Very run down facility. Stains on ceiling, smelled musty and was very dirty overall. Found 2 cockroaches in the tub one morning, linens smelled sour, no liner for ice bucket, no plugs for tub or sink, security chain on door was ripped off, and cracks around door were so large (specifically under the door) that I had to roll a towel up to block the hallway light from coming into room at night. Not worth the money I paid. Very disappointing.
I've stayed at this hotel at least 5 other times in the past. The location is great and the hotel facilities are good. Great waterfront pool. A nice continental breakfast is available and includes the Sunday paper. Hopefully, it was just our room but the toilet never worked properly and the A/C broke down the second day (stayed 4 nights) and someone fixed it but it broke down again in the middle of the third night...hot September night. We had to "negotiate" a new room with the front desk and they gave us a waterfront room (ours was city view) which regardless of the view was totally upgraded unlike our city view room. The cost was not that different. I don't think the customer service was all that great either. I like the hotel and might stay again but only if I can afford a water view room. Ours water old and distressed but still not a cheap stay.
Cheap Ants in the room
price was good
Swimming pool, soft bed there was no outside picture of the hotel on the website and I felt a little deceived about where I was going to stay. The exterior of the building reminded me of one of those sleazy hotel and there was a guy hanging out his door nude trying to speak to the children.
location, convenient to good restaurants and nightlife. WiFi connection hotel needs to improve on landscaping and upgrade the rooms
It was in walking distance to the boardwalk at the Destin Harbor.
For the value in fall you can't beat it. It was within walking distance to restuarants and the Harbor Walk shopping. It is across the street from the Harbor. There are all kinds of way side parks to go to the beach. The beds have been updated and are super comfy. A little older facility but still nice for the vaiue. In fall it was only 60.00.
The only thing to like about this place is the location and that there is a Waffle House in the parking lot. When we first got to the hotel, we could tell that it was going to be dirty. The parking lot is a wreck and suffers from no upkeep. The lobby had a very musty, awkward smell to it and is very confused in terms of decor. The only thing worth looking at were the fish on the walls. Check in didn't take much time at all and the lady at the desk was friendly. When we got to our room, (214) it as well had a musty wet smell to it that was covered up by the smell of Lysol. The floor had huge stains everywhere, there was thick dust everywhere specifically on the headboards, there were small roaches in the tub, and to top it off, the maintenance man was not finished in our room (even though we were told it was ready). He had to run an extension chord to the lamp next to the door from the 1 outlet between the beds just so that lamp would work. There were no available outlets in the room... We couldn't plug in our phones next to the bed because the 1 outlet had lamps plugged into it. Wouldn't have been a problem if there was at least 1 light on the ceiling, but there wasn't. The bed was absolute hell. I woke up feeling worse than i ever have in years. The pillows were flat and had no support unless you used 3. Yes, 3. The bathroom towels were really small and very rough... The next day, the safe in the room (that we were NOT using) randomly started beeping over and over. We hadn't touched it or even looked at it untill this started happening. Finally we had enough and called the front desk. They sent someone up 20 minutes later and fixed the problem. No apology was given... Needless to say, we will never stay at this hotel again.
Only thing we liked was location. Dirty, dirty, dirty! We didn't like the fact that we had to wear shoes inside. Even after a shower, as soon as we walked on carpet our feet turned BLACK. The light above sink kept going out and there weren't enough outlets to turn on lamp that was in room. There were too many appliances plugged into an attached plug in outlet. We came back from beach and maintenance was airing out our room. They said we left coffee pot on and it burned the outlet, wires, microwave, fridge. When we told them we made sure twice it was turned off ( I'm OCD about these things) it was our word against theirs. They didn't bother telling us that we were being charged 236.00 until we checked out. The comforter was filthy, tub and floors filthy. Also, the wifi only worked about 10% of the time.
The location of the hotel was great. For the rate of the rooms, a continental breakfast should have been included.
Rooms were not very sound proof. Could easily hear activities in other rooms.
Extremely clean, very friendly, and overall just a great place to stay.
The rooms were very clean and the service was excellent. The pool area was one of the best I have stayed at.
Accommodations Cafe in Lobby Friendly Staff Nothing.
Location is outstanding. ...staff was very nice.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Beach access was nice. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
It was nice that they have " happy hours" included. The water is very close and convenient. Overall very nice experience.
Free Buffet...close to beach
The complementary breakfast, the exquisite atrium, and proximity to beach were the best points of this hotel. The bed in the bedroom was too high. The hideabed was too hard.
everything was awesome. i would definately stay here again. the suite was great and homelike. the breakfast was awesome as well. i would definately recommend embassy suites to everyone.
The room was big, clean, comfortable, and had a decent view. The phones were busy for over a day as we tried to call to confirm because we had to change dates. When I called the Hilton corporate offices they had horrible customer support and acted like they didn't card and couldn't do anything to help me. When I got to the hotel the lady behind the desk was friendly and apologized and said that corporate had been informed, and confirmed our room. Even offered is free breakfast for our troubles.
Great pool, real close to the beach. Studio suites are good size for a family of 5. Breakfast was ok, the waffles are good, the other "hot" stuff was kind of yuck. Great hotel.
Rooms are a bit dated
The location was ok had a nice beach and downtown sandestin was a nice atmosphere. Have stayed at Sandestin 3 times now I liked the resort until this stay. The pool was filthy with all kinds of cups floating or sunk in pool a diaper had come apart on the side and it stayed there all day. We asked about getting someone to clean the pool and there was no one to do it (supposedly it was there day off). We stayed 3 days and the pools were dirty the whole time. No coolers were allowed at the pool so you had to buy water or whatever you wanted to drink from them. Didn't like the fact they charge a resort fee plus a cleaning fee on top of your nightly rate. You cant get a cup of water with your meal just bottled water waiter said they do to much volume to give a glass of water with your meal. Overall just thought they take advantage of whoever is staying on there property. I love the Destin area but will find a new place to stay.
Perfect location!! Everything you need is right there or super close. We loved the Sunset Bay Cafe! Delicious food with an amazing view.
Aaron at the front desk was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgable.
I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend with my husband and a couple friends and we had a great time. The place was very spacious and clean. We would definitely stay here again. Only complaint is you have to cross a major road to get to the beach but they do offer a shuttle service that runs every 20 minutes.
I'd go back in a heartbeat. The room had a gorgeous view of the Gulf and was very clean. The pool and hot tub are right outside with island music playing. We went at the end of the season so it wasn't crowded. 2 minute walk to the very clean well maitanted beach. It's also about a 5-19 minute drive to all the action in destin like water sports. The resorts has gorgeous golf courses, ship, restaurants...it's a gated secured community and I felt like I was driving through some rich neighborhood. Lol definitely recommend it!!! Especially in September after the summer season cuz the weather is still perfect and rooms are cheaper. Lol perfect for romantic getaways and families of all ages. We stayed at the luau tower and they didn't have room service. Only a pizza delivery service. But that's ok
Loved the beds!! So comfy!! The view was nice, the pool was nice too. My husband and I plan to return next summer. That housekeeping doesn't clean the rooms daily. Kind of a pain to make your own beds and buying a broom to sweep the sand off the floors ourselves. We were supposed to be on vacation. And they wanted to charge $55.00 to send housekeeping to clean.
The view Outdated, felt very cheap
Everything was great. NA
Beautiful property! Room was very dated. Needs some repairs. Room was a long way from the beach.
Overpriced for the distance and navigation to the beach.
The attraction is a walking distance. Everything was great.
The staff was very friendly. There were roaches in our room and the smell of mold was overwhelming.
It was just what I needed to make my business trip seamless, at the right price. Nice staff & clean rooms with all the most important features. I'll stay again next time.
Beds were comfortable and appeared clean. Price was good. Bathrooms had mold all around the corners and up sides of walls Floor was not clean in room. Tile floor in bathroom in bad shape and dirty Stairs were very dirty and the railing was wobbly. Breakfast was horrible. A bowl of cereal would be all that was tempting. The whole breakfast area was unattended to and needed cleaning. Night time attendant was not very attentive.
My boyfriend and I planned to stay here on the last night of our vacation. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency arise in which my elderly grandmother was hospitalized. Thus we had to cut our trip short and head back home. We tried calling Destin inn and suites to cancel our room and see if there was any way we could get some sort of refund and they refused to consider it. I understand that hotels must have some sort of cancellation policy in place but the very cold way they acted about our situation was the worst customer service I have received. When we are back in Destin I will definitely find another hotel to stay at.
The hotel was comfy and clean. Recently renovated and a nice pool. I would definitely stay here again.
The price was about the only appealing thing about this hotel. This hotel was recently renovated and the photos made it look really nice. When you walk in the musty smell hits you immediately. The bathroom floor was always wet not matter how many towels you put down. The shower curtain rod was hanging up by a thread and the shower curtain itself was molded. Many things wrong including the ancient loud mattress. Will not stay here again. Front desk agent friendliness was okay at best, +1 service was not on his mind.
For being just a quick get away for the weekend. Nice and quiet! Having to pay for ice. Have never been to a hotel that you had to pay for ice.
Pulling up it doesn't look very nice but they've recently remodeled so the room so it was a pleasant surprise. Hardwood floors, large mounted flat screen, and nice hot water in the shower, for the price I will definitely return. Also the free continental breakfast was good. We actually passed the hotel a couple of times because there's no sign out by the street showing where it is, the floors were very dirty and the bed was kind of hard. Those minor things didn't affect my trip though and I would stay agin
Have not found a better room in Destin for the money and I visit regularly great price clean relatively comfy good general location If I had a problem with this hotel it would be the beds aren't the most comfortable in the world but after a weekend at nighttown who cares right, and the bathroom is tiny but fully functional
The location is great for my type of stay. The Bed was squeaky
Pool and breakfast bar.
Everyone was super nice and the rooms were amazing... We loved the hardwood floors. There were people painting and doing repairs but they were very quiet and respectful of quests.
the resort seems pretty old...
The beach & grotto The breakfast was a little pricey, most hotels we stay at include free breakfast
The layout and design
I liked the view and closeness to the beach. I didn't like the fact that the house keeping staff could not speak English and made it very difficult to get the room cleaned in the proper way.
Love the amenities. Several pools. Needs to be cleaned. Spots in pool. Hot tub.
I loved that it was right on the beach, comfy beds, fridge in room, decent restaurants on site and within walking distance, awesome pool and grotto bar area, laundry room on site, heated pool for night time, grills to use on beach patio, would definitely come back!!! DO NOT EVER GO ON 4th of JULY WEEKEND!!! There is a HUGE, very weird Christian cult that comes every year. There were at least 200 of them, doing baptisms in the ocean all day, and at night was just trying to walk to my chair with my boyfriend to have a drink, listen to music, talk, look at the stars, and had to walk through a huge gathering of them all kneeling in rows staring at the ocean silently--thought they were looking at fireworks or something at first but noooo. Felt weird to have to walk through them but too many to go around. Pick another weekend and it will be great! Also, they make you check out at 11:30 and want you to turn in your wristband, so if you want to stay that afternoon, hide them and tell them you lost them. You will have to pay $10 a piece but worth it if you want to enjoy rest of day
Waterfall bar Dirty and small rooms
Everything you need is on the property! There are restaurants, a souvenir shop, two different pools, a kids water park, and a grotto bar. What more could you want? And it's ocean front. We loved that we could rent chairs and an umbrella for a flat rate and not have to worry about lugging things down to the beach.
The view from the room was great Staff was friendly Convenient location The hallway are creepy The tub needs updating now! The green door need to be painted another color Smelled like cigarettes and air freshener in the hall and elevator BAD PARKING not enough spaces guest room doors slamming shut all night
The resort style making restaurants and shops close by. Not close to the beach at all. Also if you book online you will pay a $50 resort fee.
If you played golf or like bike walking trails it was ok. Out amenities appeared well kept up and nice. Overpriced, run down rooms in the Grand Complex, room was not cleaned well, carpet was nasty. Just very old and worn out. Value would be a less than $100 room. Pictures are deceiving on all sites, makes you think you will be on the beach. Was charged ADDT'L $35 upon arrival for resort fees not disclosed. All guest ice, etc. on main floor hidden door you have to ask to find. Desk clerk listening to music on earbuds so never answered phone while I sat on hold for 10 min then had to wonder down to find the ice. DON'T book here if you are looking for a nice weekend or vacation spot as you will be disappointed and overcharged.
Staff was friendly, the room was perfext for our needs, and we rested beautifully. We had no complaints.
Staff was friendly. Rooms was clean.Breakfast was better than expected.
Our son gave us a trip to Destin for our Anniversary, so he booked the hotel. When we arrived, and saw the hotel, staff, room, we and our son were happy he booked this place. Clean, clean, clean. I want clean and neat. Our room was cleaned, bed, and linen. Even the kitchen was cleaned. I was just happy with everything. Then to top off the breakfast, and the 6-7:30 pm just put it over the top. Breakfast was breakfast, not just a sweet roll and juice. You actually had wholesome food, and was full. I will always recommend Residence Inn to family and friends. My hat is off to you all. I'm cool nature and the only thing was that the hallways were so cold, but other than that, nothing.
Location out of the main stream but still close to everything..the staff was super..the room was comfortable and clean...nice soft bed king size..great pool and hot tub area
