Waited in line for, quite literally, an hour to pickup the rental car. All other rental car agencies had no line as they were quick to serve. Only Avis had a long line of frustrated customers. Despite requesting an SUV I was provided a pickup truck which was disappointing.

Stood in line for over an hour waiting to get a car because they did not have enough! Car smelt like cigarettes badly. I paid 250 $ for a really small car where with Alamo/National we paid 700 for a ford escape for 8 days. Only positive is it got me to where I was going.

I wasn’t able to rent! They call me and send a message that they don’t have a car for me . It was stressful considering that happened just on the night before. I needed the car in the mid morning to travel from Chicago to Detroit because I had an appointment that day. I had to find another agency to rent a car and considering I needed for the next day and I was complicated.

We reserved a car at the airport after our flight home was canceled and we chose to drive instead of wait 2 days for the next available flight. Hertz refused to honor the reservation because it wasn’t made at least 24 hours in advance. Thankfully Alamo was more understanding of the situation and rented us a car so we could drive home.

my credit card number was stolen and used within hours of picking up car, giving my credit card info to sixt employees. My credit card co believes it was likely this car rental that took/used my card illegally.

Where to START? My husband carefully researched this and we paid ahead of time with your service. We get to Ohare at 5:30 a.m. and expect a car, ready for us? NOPE. No car for you...you have to get 23 miles all the way downtown Chicago and pick up your car there. Nothing we can do about it, says the SixT agent. No help whatsover. NONE. I wait 5+ hourse for my husband to hire a Lyft to get downtown (23 miles there at CONSIDERABLE cost). He finally gets back to Ohare to pick me and our luggage up about 11 a.m....making a long trip from the West Coast an even longer trip with major headaches, too. Would NEVER recommend SixT to anyone. Nope. No offer of shuttle to get said car. No offer to help at all. Absolutely horrid customer service.

Pros:

Staff was friendly but did not help me when I called in about the car being dirty on the inside.

Cons:

The car was in disgusting condition and clearly had not been cleaned or sanitized at all. Was not helped when I called into the store to report this. Also, the iPass did not work in the tolls. It was truly an awful experience and I would never recommend this service to someone.

It is more what I did not like. The vehicle, a Jeep SUV, had no interior lights that worked when you opened the doors. But worse of all the tail lights did not work at night! That was dangerous and shows a lack of maintenance care by Payless. I was not happy.

Payless had a very smooth process with kind and friendly people, the car was very clean and in great condition. When I returned it, however, the person who marked the car as returned did not check whether I had filled the car up with gas (I had filled the car up with gas) and charged me for not doing it. The customer service team has been very helpful in getting that false charge removed. Would recommend Payless

Everything was very confusing at pickup and drop off. The cars are collocated with Avis and Budget but the people and information are not. No instructions in my booking email, and poor signage at the O’Hare car rental facility meant that my wife and I wasted precious time wandering around searching for answers.
