Very helpful and friendly staff, nice breakfast, beautiful room with hardwood floors, comfy bed, very quiet, and close to everything. I especially appreciated that they let me check out an hour late, so that I could shower and change after doing my 10K race.
My only wish is that they’d have some soy milk at breakfast. I always bring my own anyway, but there are a growing number of vegans, and about a third of the population is lactose intolerant, so I’m hoping that more places will keep a couple of boxes of non-dairy milk handy (you can get boxes that don’t need fridging, and they have a very long shelf life).
great location; hotel had a lot of charm
Room was a little warm
The hotel was very nice and comfortable.
The internet was very slow and hard to connect at times.
The cookies were amazing. I'm obsessed with the green velvet chairs in the lobby and breakfast area. We were given a complimentary upgrade of rooms since there was a mistake in the pictures of the rooms by booking.com. The bed and pillows were so comfortable; I never wanted to leave them. The fireplace and jacuzzi tub were wonderful. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay.
The shower grout and door had mildew. The toilet paper holder was in a very awkward hard to reach place. The restroom in the lobby of the main building behind the breakfast area was dirty, the toilet paper was empty so I had to use paper towels instead. The trash can was overflowing all over the floor. My husband (a chef) and I did not care for the egg bake served at breakfast with the corn and stuff in it. They were super spongy and it would've been better and taste more breakfastlike if it was just plain scrambled egg with maybe some bits of bacon or sausage in it. We were not informed beforehand that the happy hour thing was only Monday-Friday, so we were looking forward to it and we had to actually ask about it to get any information. We felt letdown since that was part of our reasoning for choosing to stay here as opposed to another hotel downtown and then we still had to pay $25 for a cheap bottle of wine, not great tasting. And for what we paid to stay at the place for less than 24 hours, you would think all of that would've been included, especially since we were let down about the happy hour thing and we were there celebrating our anniversary.
The location was excellent. The tour of the properties. They provide packed breakfast and water daily
The breakfast was served in the lobby which is not equipped as a breakfast room.
